From my first contact with Gareth and the team at MMA back in October 2025, I cannot fault the service and support that our charity, Convoy4Ukraine, have received from them. They supported me every step of the way through registering for and bidding at my first online auction, advising me on suitable vehicles, and sorting out all the paperwork and export procedures in a professional and efficient manner. We couldn’t have got the life-saving vehicles that are so desperately needed out to Ukraine without their support. Gareth was good humoured and responsive at all times, including when we needed a replacement for a lost V5. I look forward to dealing with them again soon.

What can I say, first time buying a vehicle from Auction. Spoke to them before auction, paid deposit and auction started promptly. Won and paid for car in full, went to collect from the Auction and it the site was extremely well organised, clean and tidy. The car was prepared like at a dealer “IMMACULATE” then drove the 300 miles home, didn’t miss a beat.

Shout out to Gareth and will be using them again for family vehicles 5 star ⭐

I am extremely disappointed with my experience purchasing a vehicle here for £8,000.
• The Problem: The vehicle was sold with significant mechanical faults that were not apparent or mentioned in the catalog.
• Hidden Defects: While I understand auctions carry risks, the house actively prevented a proper inspection, which I now see was to hide the car's true state.
• Dishonest Conduct: I feel the description provided was intentionally vague or misleading to secure a higher bid.
Advice to others: Do not trust their "condition reports." If you cannot inspect the car yourself, do not bid. This house prioritizes a quick commission over basic transparency and fairness. I am currently pursuing legal advice regarding the misrepresentation of this vehicle.

Never purchased at vehicle auction in the past and not very good with internet etc. I telephoned Merthyr car auctions several times and am delighted to report the following.
Telephone answered streight away every time and whoever answered was able to help and guide me with my many questions without putting me on hold or transfering me to another person.
Following auction staff advice i set my budget and used their live telephone bidding service where a spotter calles you when the auctioner is about to sell the vehicle i was interested in and bids for you.
Result, fantastic.
Vehicle purchased within budget all paperwork sorted
out for me.
All I had to do was pay and collect my vehicle, which i would very much like to add is fantastic.
No problems here and thank you to staff at Merthyr Car Auctions.

Great communications, patient and welcoming for non trader customer.I felt they wanted the process of buying at auction to be equally smooth for myself and themselves. Good technical replies . They know their stuff. The best car auction by far. First time I’ve bought without actually being physically present, which is still the recommended advice from themselves, and buyer is still responsible for homework and research ( it is an auction) however I couldn’t be happier. Collected my Nissan Pathfinder and drove it 1000k in rain and snow no problems.
I highly recommend.

You can buy much cheaper from Dealerships..this place isn't a auction ,it's basically a car and commercial vehicle sales ,with the vast amount of the vehicles on sale having fixed prices..every vehicle is plus Vat and a eye watering £500 admin charge that they call a indemnity fee on top of the asking price.

Had two great experiences with this company, there was always someone on hand to guide me through what ever challenges I was experiencing. Well done.

A generally positive experience. Staff were very helpful, especially Owen who guided me through the process and acted as Spotter for me. I ended up with a very good deal only let down by damage to the paintwork from Fire and Rescue Service livery removal - apparently required (and charged for) after purchase, before the vehicle is collected. I would suggest that this should be done before the vehicle goes to auction or left to the purchaser to do. I would still recommend.

I bought a library truck from this company, online auction. Never viewed , trusted their word. Very honest and very helpful. Always quick to reply to any queries .Would definitely recommend and would deal with them again. 👍

This is the first and last time I have used this MMA auction. The description of the car was not fully accurate, the car condition wasnt as stated, when I asked for any help with service history they would just refuse to make any contact with seller, due to not able to get copy of the service invoice I am struggling to get extended warranty for the car. when collected the car it had food and bones on the car photos available to support the statement on here! It very disappointing poor service!

First time on there site, the put off was I cant see the bidding even though I haven't paid the £500 deposit yet, I just wanted to see how it works before I pay the deposit, I cant just pay £500 and don't no what I'm doing, sadly I closed the account

After picking the van up, immediately drove 200 miles back to London with no mechanical problems, van drove like a dream.
The MMA spotter (Gareth?) found out what I needed a van for and my price range and sent me 4 suggestions, 3 of which I was prepared to bid on.
Very happy with the one I got.
