I have never been to an auctioneers before, so when I found the car online I was a little apprehensive. The process and MMA's guidance far exceeded my expectations. I went to view the car at their premises and found the staff incredibly helpful and attentive. I'm pleased to say I won the auction online (also guided by an MMA rep over the phone) and was so pleased with the car and price. A positive experience from start to finish. Highly recommend.

I was late in responding because husband was sick. I asked for postage quote. They said it was attached to the email. It wasn't. So I paid for the lot in good faith and asked them to bill me for postage separately, and I'd pay. No response. I have sent 3 emails and left 2 messages. I have asked for a refund and not heard,

WOW. I've never known that a person who places their bid on a Wednesday, the auction happens on the Thursday and the room bidder takes preference over the internet bidder on the Thursday. So what's the point of placing bids before the auction? Is there any benefit?

Auctioneers-more akin buccaneers, Unfortunate for some to see they are still ''at it''.. Anyone intend or know of any class action against these sales frauds. Legal, Retrieve the collective x3 perpetrator's = 13k i have been defrauded and you can have a 1k fee. corroborative evidence available. Thank you.

This is a SCAM.
No transparency to the online bidding system, I bid on a vehicle, the price went up, next week the vehicle is back in the auction, It happens again and again.
They pump up the bids so you think there is great interest.
I bought van worth £12.000 19 plate.i was told that no mechanical issue before purchase, but after driving 10 miles engine management light came on, I called them up for help.They said you are fully covered by a premium warranty of auto guard. I phone auto guard for help they said the maximum claim is £500 on the guarantee.
They never mention £500 is the maximum on warranty.

I reported these auction to the necessary authorities.

Purchased a fiat tipper from the boys at MMA . Having never purchased from an auction before it was made so easy by the guys in the office . Drove the van back to Scotland from Wales and it never missed a beat . Great van from a great bunch of lads .

Well after travelling over 300 miles from the North of England these guy’s made me feel welcome straight away I was offered a coffee ☕️ I can’t even get my wife to make me one so bonus! Then I was greeted by a cute dog 🐶 which was a pleasant change in a car auction! These guy’s answered any questions I had with a smile! Something a miss in the uk! And even the lad that went to collect my van was friendly and helpful! Courtesy goes a long way in business! Definitely Recommend these guy’s and dog 🐶

Fantastic experience both times that I've used MMA, Very friendly staff and some fantastic vehicles to be had.

I went up to merthyr auctions with two specific vans in mind. Both vans bodies looked in great shape, low mileage and no engine faults etc. After winning the final bid and thinking I've managed to get it cheaper than the buy it now price prior to the auction, I make my way to the purchase counter. While I'm sorting the cash with the cashier, my father has gone to the van for a final inspection. As he stood in the back of the van he found the floor was soft. The rear of the van had all been plied, but even so it should not have been sponge like. What he found underneath some of the loose ply he removed was that the vans bed was completely rotten. He's called me immediately upon realising this and told me not to hand over any money due to bed being completely rotten. At this point the cashier had my money to hand. I've asked for my money back while I go and check the structure of the body. At this point the cashier hands my money back minus £500. He refused to hand my £500 back because this is the fee should I decide I do not wish to go ahead with the purchase. This is now the case! After seeing the van I've gone back to speak with the guy and explained the vans condition and how none of this was mentioned in the description. Seeming unbothered by this, the chap just looks at me and tells me there's nothing he can do and basically I still can't have my £500 back. I said to him how messed up this is and what's worse is you guys are just going to relist this van if I don't pay, and I bet you won't even adjust the listing to inform people of this.
His response... a little shrug of the shoulders, a slight nod followed by 'basically yeah'

I mean come on.. £100 loss isn't ideal, but £500! What is up with that? It's disgusting! I worked hard for this money and you guys just fleeced me like this?

Ease of doing business making it a smooth process

Absolutely first class service from all the guys & staff at MMA. I brought a mid range priced car unseen and was a bit nervous about the purchase. I'm absolutely delighted. The car is better than described and I was dealt with as well as any major car dealership I've ever dealt with. Professional, polite and very helpful service - excellent & many thanks!!

Saw online trucks and vans and found the ones we bought had very accurate descriptions. Ryhs we found extremely helpful and will definitely carry on using MMA

On arrival I was met by Garath who I found to be very friendly & helpful from start to finish my whole experience took about 2 hours and then I drove away in my new van highly recommended

I have bought from auctions before so i understand 'sold as seen' etc. However, I chose Merthyr Motor Auctions because they do state beforehand if a car or van has a fault or if the engine light is on. It means you pay a bit more but at least you know that nothing is showing up wrong at the time
However, after buying a van showing up as no faults the engine warning light was on immediately. The mechanic there even tried to remove the fault before i got in but it still showed up. I specifically chose this van because it showed no immediate faults in the listing!
Be very aware of this company when buying or bidding - you think they are being upfront but clearly they dont list these on every vehicle

Brilliant place to buy a real bargain can’t fault Dean and his staff would definitely recommend if you are looking for a bargain

Good communication from the beginning had a small problem with a beeping noise from the old tracker , Gareth was so helpful got one of his mechanics to talk me through it over the phone and all sorted , good people to deal with, would recommend to anyone wanting a cheaper van
