Fraud, lies and manipulation of the willing stupid.
I bid on a vehicle in £50 increments. The auctioneer increased by £100’s!
I terminated my bidding £400 before the auction ended but somehow i won it without bidding at £8000 instead of £7600 when I stopped.
I was white noised and brow beaten into paying £500 auction fee immediately on the spot before realising I was being made a fool of.
The vehicle is ok, but I’ve paid at or above the retail price on a tatty vehicle which is not a reason to go to auction.
I would seek legal action if I knew how.

The tactic of white noising and taking a non returnable auction fee within seconds of auction end is very obviously a well established 40 year method to make money before people realise they have been fleeced.
At which point it’s too late, you’ve already got the £500 while they still suffer with exhaust asphyxiation and not thinking straight enough to correctly judge you’re intentions. as for your method for charging people for spotter assistance and still gaining retail price or higher on vehicles that are half that cost in other settings astounds me.
I was warned by other victims of yours before attending, but disregarded their poor experience as lack of auction experience “which I have plenty of” this is how I know what you’ve done.
By the time you get your instant £500, it’s already too late for your customers.
I hope you keep verifiable records and cctv evidence to prove my bidding at £8000, as this will be the grounds of my civil case which I will happily post the result of here.

This is the first time we are hearing of any issue with your vehicle purchase at our auction; there was no mention of this at the auction when bidding or paying for your vehicle.
If you believe you stopped bidding at £7600 but we told you won the vehicle for £8000 surely you would bring this to the attention of a spotter, auction assistant or cashier when paying for your vehicle but this was not the case.
To inform other readers, if you are unsure how an auction works, we have spotters on hand for novice bidders like yourself who could have helped you at the auction and made sure you were fully aware of the process of bidding etc.
We don't make a fool of any of our customers and would have happily tried to help and resolve the issue if it was brought to our attention at the time.

Do your homework
Do your homework. Could be an absolute nightmare for the unprepared and uninitiated.
Staff were friendly and helpful when approached. But, the 'hidden' costs could bite you firmly on the buttocks if you don't query them first. VAT is paid not only on the final auction price of commercial vehicles, but also on an indemnity charge which comes with any vehicle. The charges are not displayed, or even mentioned at first glance, so make sure you speak to someone to glean all info before you bid. And take a notepad. And learn to be keen with your mathematics.
Saying all that, I would buy from there again as it's possible to grab a bargain.

Van arrived very clean and tidy did have dent in bonnet and brake pad noise
but it is a van so to be expected
have replaced bonnet replaced disc pads
all ok the mileage flashes but that is
a known fault on these vans.Over all
avery well presented van runs well
if you buy from aution expect some minor
faults as with all vans.Very helpfull when contacted and go the extra mile for you
would buy again but will try and attend the

Nice auction experience
Going to an auction i did nt really know what to expect, the vehicles they offered went from old to new and amazing condtion due to them being direct from companies, councils etc. I had a cracking buy, saving a few grand on garage prices. They even arranged finance.. Thankyou MMA

Easy process and saving money
Bought my wife a Mini Convertible from here and the service was very professional but with a personal touch which you don’t often have these days. The car itself was a low mileage car and at a price which saved me £1,850 on a similar car being sold locally at the time. Would definitely buy again as the whole auction process was a breeze and nothing to be feared like other auction reviews I have read

The staff are very friendly and the building is well heated and has a very nice cafe and it was quite a fun experience BUT :
I made the trip to Merthyr in the hope of picking up a good deal.
All the cars that I was interested in sold on the night for more than I was willing to pay. I looked at the lot list a couple of days later and all the cars that I was looking at were back in. I messaged the company just quoting one vehicle and was told it was sold but the buyer failed finance. Hmm that means the six vehicles would've made them £3000 in lost deposits. I didn't make it to the second auction and looked again at what would be the 3rd and the cars are back again. Something is definitely not right here. They are the same vehicles, they cover the reg numbers but very careful examination of the pictures prove they are the same vehicles. It does make me wonder how genuine this auction is - with regard to cars at least, all these vehicles sell on the night, they can't repeatedly fail finance! I'm thinking that as far as the cars are concerned they are acting more like a dealership and want a certain price, if they don't get it they take the bid for themselves and then repeat and repeat. I have since found another car elsewhere with a dealer with better spec, lower mileage, got them to service it and renew mot so it had 12 months for LESS money. So DO YOUR HOMEWORK before you go and don't get carried away and bid more than you should because you think you're getting a deal because you're at an auction!

I have been going to this auctioneers for many years now and I have never been disappointed. Fantastic prices and good quality vehicles I always get a great deal most importantly, the staff are constantly helping and will give you any advice you need. The set up is very relaxed and there’s also a great cafe in there with good quality food and drinks. The whole experience is great fun with so much to choose from worth every penny 👌
