I used the service for the 1st time and I loved it. I didn't expect that it works so smooth and easy. The support is 24/7 available. The app worked well for me to find the car i needed at a good price. It was luck to get to auting as i was almost going to get to the regular services. But no, i have already recommended auting to my friend and will do more. Each time i am in Italy, i will use auting as my car service. Thank you!

My experience has been ok, but the app needs to improve a lot to make the procedure more automated, reliable and safe. Auting should learn a lot from apps as getaround used in France and Spain.

I rented a car with auting and it was a great experience. The car was good. The process was easy. And the car owner was friendly and helpful.

Very easy to sign up! Nice and simple app to use. Pretty much everything worked excellent. The customer support side needs improvements in my opinion - I tried calling but the english option was missing. Also when calling roadside assistance the automated awnser was "wrong number"
Maybe it works fine for locals but was unable to contact anyone.
Otherwise good stuff and will be using again!

I used the Auting App to hire a car in Milan. Setting up the app and hiring the car was fairly straightforward. Checking the car out was more difficult. As part of the process you are required to take 8 photos of the exterior of the car as a record of its condition on pick up. The App was glitchy and failed to upload some pictures so I had to make multiple attempts to complete the photos. The car was from 2014, the seats were stained, it was not particularly clean and smelled of smoke. It was not in the same condition that you would expect a rental car in the However, it ran well and was economical to use.

Returning the car was harder because it was difficult to find a place to drop it off. I thought the app is supposed to show you the area in which you can drop it off but the app did not provide me with a return location. The button that I thought should do this showed me the current location of the car. Luckily i had the address that the owner sent me when I initially asked for a general pick up location to plan my journey. When I tried to check the car out it would not upload any of the photos so I could not check it out. I had to phone their emergency support and they managed to lock the car remotely. This whole process took around 30 minutes. The app still shows that I have not returned the car. This meant that no photos of the return condition were recorded in the app. After returning the car I was charged for not returning the car completely full with fuel. This charge was very reasonable. I was subsequently charged 25 Euro for not cleaning the car. I had wiped out the car and seats and brushed out the foot well and it was cleaner than when I collected it. The owner of the vehicle uploaded photos of the seats as evidence that the car had not been cleaned. However, the seats were worse when I had collected the vehicle. The app does not request photos of the interior at check out or check in so there was no possibility of comparison.
If you are having doubts, the Auting company exists and I got a car that was cheaper than the main hire companies. However, the app is glitchy and the ability for Auting to add charge after end of hire is disconcerting (however this is something that regular car hire companies can also do). For convenience I will hire at the airport next time with a mainstream car company.

I have also realised that the app is still showing me the current location of the vehicle, even though I have returned the vehicle. This is a significant privacy issue as it appears that Auting, the owner and previous drivers of the vehicle may be able to see its location which is quite disturbing.

Amazing! Everything went perfect! First I was afraid it may be a scam but don’t worry, this app is legit.

I was afraid to rent a car via a standard car rental because of additional fees, so I opted for Auting (recommended in a yt video). The app was easy to use, and user support responded in under an hour to help me register my number. I had a great experience with renting thr car, the owner was helpful and the takeover went smoothly. I would for sure use Auting again if I come back to Italy, because it is transparent and the insurance covers any damages for a small fee, so I felt safe and relaxed renting the car.

The Auting app was easy to use, it connected me with several car owners in Italy, based on the location I was planning on visiting, so I knew they wouldn't be far from where I was staying. Would definitely use it again the next time I travel abroad~

Young platform with good potential, in general, a good experience. I really wish they would restart the deployment of their connect program without the ability to remotely check in or check out a driver, the service is a lot less useful unfortunately. I also don’t understand why the price is currently limited at a maximum of €100 per day. The market will decide the prices and limiting them excludes certain cars from achieving their full potential. 

Would highly recommend this car. Easily fit for adults and at times five adults. Had room for four full-size suitcases in the back.

Its really simple and trustworthy. No deposit needed,sign few papers and you are on the road within minutes. Owners are easy going and you can make any deal. Wanted location for car pick up or drop off also available with small fee. I would recommend for sure. Used it myself few times and always good experience !
