Expert advice and help from Axis Podiatry
Lindsay assessed my foot problem, ordered orthoses and I can report that the pain I was experiencing has virtually gone. I’m happily walking several miles most days. Highly recommended.
Excellent service
Went back to see Lindsay for a reassessment of my orthotics
Very friendly and professional, always explains everything in detail and makes you feel comfortable.
Would highly recommend Lindsay
Lindsay is amazing!
Lindsay is amazing! My private ankle surgeon recommended her to me following an accident. After a thorough chat about the life of my feet and an examination, she recommended orthotic insoles. Her high tech equipment (electronic floor pad and analyser) ensured they are a perfect fit. I've since ordered a second pair to save swapping between my running trainers and my usual shoes. Thanks Lindsay! Steve
Excellent service
Excellent service. Since increasing my walking activity I've been suffering pain in my foot and lower leg. Lindsay completed a thorough assessment and diagnosis. She recommended some stretching exercises to do daily which are already helping. And took me through my options on further treatments and i have an insole being custom made!! Lindsay is lovely, very knowledgeable and helpful. I highly recommend!
I went to see Lindsay to help with Mortens Neuromas
I went to see Lindsay to help with mortens neuromas in both feet. After a thorough discussion we decided on a plan of action. Lindsay was very knowledgeable about the condition and allowed time not only during the appointment but after my appointment, to answer any questions and talk them through with me.
Lindsay listened and was very understanding to my situation.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.
Well worth a visit if you have any foot pain
Lindsay treated me for mortons neuroma. I was at my wits end with not being able to walk in anything but trainers; with the insoles which Lindsay prescribed following a thorough assessment, I am now able to manage the condition without the need for surgery. When my daughter (age 17) developed a foot problem we went straight to Lindsay and once again she gave my daughter a full assessment and, with the help of insoles, she is hoping to complete her Duke of Edinburgh award expedition without foot pain! Lindsay is really helpful replying to texts out of hours, fitting me in on a Sunday and explaining clearly why our foot problems developed and how to help them. If you have a foot problem I would highly recommend paying her a visit!

Lindsay was brilliant when I saw her at the 52 hospital in Wilmslow. She was personable & professional, so much so that I recommended my husband to see her too! We both have considerably less back/knee pain now & can walk for hours with our dogs!
AXIS PODIATRY REVIEW
AXIS PODIATRY REVIEW
I first went to see LIndsay just over two years ago when I first started running and experienced pain in the insteps of both feet. She was recommended to me from a few people that I run and cycle with. I had seen various other people and even had cortisone injections but all to no avail. She was very friendly and welcoming and listened to what I had to tell her about my injuries and offered sound, expert advice. She gave me a Biomechanical Assessment and a Gait Analysis review and concluded that I would benefit from having custom made orthotic insoles. As I was fairly new to running, she also gave me sound advice on which type of running shoes I should be wearing too. The insoles arrived a couple of weeks later and within a few weeks of wearing them, I was running pain free and not suffering after the runs either! I was so impressed with Lindsays expert knowledge and professionalism that I then ordered a 2nd pair of insoles from her for every day use!
I recently developed another problem with one of my MTP joints and Lindsay has had my original pair refurbished and modified to accommodate this.
I would highly recommend anyone suffering with any foot pain or injury to go and see Lindsay as a first class service is guaranteed!
Visit Lindsay and get back on track
I went to see Lindsay with soreness in the ball of my foot. She was very friendly and welcoming. From my description and a quick examination she easily diagnosed it as Bursitis.
The GaitScan showed how the problem was being exacerbated. Lindsay recommended calf strengthening exercises and some orthotics, she suggested we start with over the counter ones to see how I went on before spending a larger amount of money on custom made ones.
They are brilliant!! In fact I have just ordered another pair so I don’t have to keep swapping them between footwear. I have a way to go yet before it’s fully sorted but I can once again enjoy long pain-free walks and have even ventured back into Zumba (slightly more flat footed for now). I could not possibly have known myself what orthotics were needed as I would never have known what the problem was without Lindsay... just wish I had gone to see her sooner.
Professional, knowledgeable and likeable, I thoroughly recommend Lindsay.
I had been struggling with sore…
I had been struggling with sore achilles for a year. After seeing a physiotherapist and being recommended to wear off the shelf orthotics for flat feet I then started to have lower back pain when out walking. I booked an appointment with Lindsay who took a gaitscan and explained clearly what the problem was. She recommended a pair of tailor-made orthotics. Within weeks of wearing them I was able to walk pain free. Lindsay was extremely helpful and very efficient. I can’t recommend Axis Podiatry highly enough.
Excellent and professional service…
I visited Lindsay recently after seeing her a very long time ago for a hamstring problem. Although I can’t remember much about the appointment back then, I knew she was very good. I visited her again for hamstring and hip pain, especially when I run and thought I would try her first before trying a physio or chiropractor to establish if it was coming from my feet.
Upon the minute of arrival, Lindsay made me feel comfortable and relaxed. She explained everything fully and then carried out her assessment. I had the foot gait scan done (which I remembered I had last time) and she gave me a number of different options and considerations, none of which I felt forced or under pressure to take or make a decision on straight away.
My assessment revealed that my pain is potentially coming from my back so Lindsay has ordered me some insoles to try in my trainers for running and see how I get on with a consideration of a physio or chiropractor at a later date if needed.
Lindsay was very professional and very easy to talk to. I left feeling confident and assured that my pain could be resolved and look forward to trying my insoles!
I would highly recommend Lindsay to anyone! Thanks so much.

Lindsay was recommended to me by a surgeon. I saw her concerning panful arthritis in my feet. She carried out gait analysis and recommends orthotics. As soon as I started using them I became pain free and have remained so since. I do not think about my feet much now but always ensure that I am wearing my orthotics.
I have just ordered a second pair.
It is fair to say that my new orthotics were life changing for my feet. I would have no hesitation n recommending Lindsay as a friendly knowledgeable professional. Five stars!!
Love my orthotics!
Podiatry intervention has been a game changer for me. Early adult joint pain impacted on my ability to exercise and led to general discomfort. After years of wearing NHS orthotics I was eager arrange a review gait analysis and to source insoles that were a little more discreet, fitting into a range of my footwear. A friend recommended Lindsay at Axis and I've never looked back...I love my new orthotics (which I have now been wearing for a couple of years). Extremely comfortable..I don't even notice they are there! I have recently visited Lindsay again to have my daughter assessed as well as seeking advice regarding orthotics for when I am running. Lindsay is professional, reliable and approachable and I would recommend her without hesitation. Thanks Lindsay!
Axis Podiatry - no hesitation in recommending
I visited Lindsay at Axis Podiatry almost three years ago following pains in my foot due to arthritis and also plantar fasciitis.
Lindsay was extremely helpful explaining exercises and following a gait analysis prescribed orthotics. Straight away there was a huge improvement and I also realised a problem I’d been having with my knee was also down to my feet!
Recently I’ve been back to Axis Podiatry to have a check-up and we’ve ordered new orthotics; when they arrive the old ones will be sent off for refurbishment.
Lindsay is friendly and helpful and I would have no hesitation in recommending her.
Spot on service keeping the spring in my step
I find Lindsay's opening hours very accessible, especially as I am travelling a distance to see her. I have been under her care for almost 3 years and she has given me a personal service.
Unlike others who tell you want they think you require, Lindsay listens to your concerns and problem solves to get the solution that suits you. She has refurbished my orthotics and promptly replies to my emails when I send them. Onsite parking is easy and when I have visited the clinic it has always been clean and well maintained and my most recent visit during the pandemic was no exception, with current guidelines of masks, gels and temperature protocols being adhered to

I am recommending Dr Lindsay Hill at Axis Podiatry as she is very professional and knowledgable. She always answers any questions quickly.
She prescribed orthotics for my knee pain 3 years ago and I am now back running again.
I have just ordered a second pair so that my originals can be sent off to be refurbished (a service offered). This makes the orthotics much more affordable!
Orthotics for knee pain.
The best decision I ever made was making an appointment with Lindsay at Axis Podiatry for my knee problem. Instantly the orthotics made a massive difference and my knee pain disappeared over night.
I get them refurbished when they need and the price for this is still very good considering they go to Canada. It is obvious Lindsay is very knowledgeable and therefore I recommend Axis Podiatry 100%.

Fab service by such an experienced podiatrist! Was concerned about my changing mechanics and Lindsay spent a good while assessing my gait getting to know what my concerns were and talking through how we could help it. Really liked the bespoke service and the knowledge shared. Have referred some footballers and would highly recommend for anyone with foot problems
Great fitting insoles!
I was referred to Dr Hill by my orthopaedic consultant due to knee and lower leg pain. It was suggested that I needed insoles to correct my posture and balance. Axis podiatry had state of the art equipment that can accurate measure your feet. The resulting insoles fitted perfectly and my body is now realigned with the knee and leg pain alleviated. Just about to order my second pair!
No more knee pain.
I was referred to Lindsay by my Chiropractor as I was getting knee pain that she couldn't cure. I was surprised that Lindsay had a surgery in Wilmslow, where she had excellent equipment to measure the specific orthotics that I required. It took about 2 weeks for the orthotics to be made. I fitted them into my running shoes and off I went again. I may not be doing half marathons any more, but at the age of 77 she has kept me on the road to doing my 5000 steps a day, without the knee pain I used to suffer. Thank you Lindsay.
