Really pleased with my visit to Axis Podiatry at Wilmslow Hospital
I went to see Dr Lindsay Hill after I had put up with foot pain for many years.
Previously I'd been to my GP, who had said I had nerve damage and didn't even examine my foot.
I then paid to see another podiatrist who said I had one leg shorter than the other. They gave me an orthotic, which didn't work.
I had been put off so just put up with the pain, until I just couldn't cope with it any longer.
Lindsay did a specific test and came up with a diagnosis after really listening to what I was saying and understanding my symptoms. I feel this is the first time this has happened.
I'm still not fixed because there are more tests to be done and treatment to try but I have a clear path to travel down now thanks to Lindsay.
Axis Podiatry
I thoroughly recommend Lindsay at Axis Podiatry. My physiotherapist referred me to two years ago as she had noticed that following surgery one leg was longer than the other. The orthotics prescribed by Lindsay have eased my back pain. In addition, I’d been having pain in the foot which had been previously diagnosed as plantar fasciitis, but Lindsay was of the opinion that there was a problem with a calf tendon. She prescribed exercises and the pain has now disappeared
Simply the best :)
When my son Jack injured his ankle and orthotics were suggested I had no hesitation in taking him straight to Lindsay - she is simply the best. She was recommended by many professionals and colleagues due to her fantastic knowledge and I knew her through my work as a physiotherapist. However experiencing her care first hand confirmed that the praise and recommendations were well justified. Lindsay is professional, personable, knows her stuff and played a pivotal role in getting Jack back to playing football. I have since taken my Mum who can now walk with no foot pain at the tender age of 81. Lindsay is a star!

I am recommending Dr Lindsay Hill at Axis Podiatry as she is very professional and knowledgable. She is very approachable and always answers any questions quickly.
I have persevered all summer with the orthotics prescribed and am now virtually pain free in my foot and my knee.
They seemed expensive to start with but there really is no price on prolonged and effective pain relief. I have just ordered a second pair so that my originals can be sent off to be refurbished (a service offered) as I have worn them all day every day through the summer and they are definitely looking worn.

Both me and my daughter go to Axis which has been very good for my back problem and help my daughter stay free of injury while training 6 Days a week. I would highly recommend Axis for any Podiatry needs.
Life changing
Having been recommended by my own podiatrist i visited Lyndsey for some help with my plantar plate condition. She advised specially designed insoles to be fitted to my shoes. These have been life changing for me. Prior to these insoles i could walk a max of 50 mins before pain took over, now i can walk for hours without any foot pain. I have just ordered my second pair and would recommend Lyndsey to anyone suffering from foot related problems.

I went to the podiatry clinic here at A6 physiotherapy and met Dr Lindsay Hill. She was very professional and very knowledgeable when carrying out my assessment for IT band pain. All the equipment used was clean and modern which quickly found an issue with my feet, to which custom made insoles would help with. I ordered the insoles and once i started using them I found the IT band pain had eased and over time was remeyded. Very happy.
Orthotic inserts for your footwear.
Had a leg length issue after a hip replacement operation. Lindsay at Axis Podiatry helped with removable Orthotic inserts for my footwear. After I spent 3 months adapting to the Orthotic inserts I began jogging for the first time in over 2 years because of my hip issues, and within 9 weeks of following the NHS Couch to 5k plan I was jogging 5k pain free. I Highly recommend Axis Podiatry.
Excellent service and top quality insoles
Lindsay is a very friendly, professional, helpful and approachable person. She is clearly passionate about what she does and knows her stuff. The insoles provided following a full biomechanical assessment and gait scan are worth their weight in gold to me. Cheers for your help. Paul.
Excellent, professional and prompt support. HIghly recommend.
Axis has provided me with excellent podiatry advice and guidance for 15 years, since 2004. A leg length difference due to a car accident left me with an imbalanced gait and Lindsay has provided Orthotic supports to alleviate back and lower limb problems. The Orthotic inserts are super high quality and very hard wearing lasting up to 10 years and beyond.
Most recently, I've taken part in a two stage charity event to climb the Yorkshire 3 Peaks to be followed by the National 3 Peaks. Without training tips and tailored shoe inserts, I would not be able to complete these challenges. Thanks Lindsay.
Orthotics for flat feet
Orthotics for flat feet at Axis
I’ve had really bad problem with shin splits for a while, caused by my flat feet. The detailed plan of action and subsequent treatment with orthotics has helped hugely. I went for the most expensive ones as they have a lifetime guarantee and they have made a big difference.
Really great service from Lindsay
Really great service from Lindsay, so pleased with my custom orthotics for my running shoes and how they make feet ,ankles and posture just feel right ! I’ll never catch Lindsay up but really pleased I can manage a 5K, as at one point I couldn’t walk without pain in my heel. The only problem is I can’t wear trainers all day, so Lindsay has now sorted me out with a slim low profile orthotic for normal day to day footwear looking forward to getting these. No hesitation in recommending Axis Podiatry, a professional friendly service and solution. Now jog on 🏃🏼♀️and get your consultation booked in 😀.
I have suffered with various pains and…
I have suffered with various pains and problems in my feet for over 5 years now and have been wearing both nhs prescription and privately bought orthotics. Sadly nothing seemed to be working to keep my pain and feet problems at bay so I contacted Lindsay to arrange a consultation. The biomechanical assessment on her gaitscan was amazingly insightful and the pressure analysis correlated perfectly with the pain and inflammation I was experiencing. I then ordered prescription orthotics which reflected my personal biomechanics and pains. They were more expensive than I was used to but I was reassured that they came with a lifetime guarantee. Plus, as a busy mum of 3 with a job where I spend a lot of time stood on my feet, I thought it was essential to invest in my future foot health. I’ve been wearing my new orthotics for a couple of weeks now and have not been disappointed by the comfort and pain relief that they have brought me for general wear and also during high impact exercise at the gym. I’m certain that they were a sound investment and hopeful that I can now keep my foot pain under control and also stop my problems from progressing any further than they have with my other orthotics. I’d definitely recommend Lindsay’s podiatry services to anyone considering an appointment. Good foot health is essential and Lindsay will help you achieve that!

Lindsay was professional and very helpful from the start of the assessment. My orthotics have lasted me 12 years, so money well spent! Lindsay is always available for follow up care, so I would recommend her for any podiatry problems you may have.
Such a big improvement!
Would definitely recommend. Running a reasonable amount of long distance and had started to get a lot of joint pain. Was recommended Axis by the physiotherapist. Very professional and prompt service. Lindsay suggested some insoles, which were measured and checked in house. She explained things very clearly.Things have now much improved, i now won't go anywhere without them. Thank you
These orthotics are made for walking!!
I have been an enthusiastic hill-walker for nearly 50 years but recently I had to reduce my level of activity substantially because of acute pain under the ball of my right foot, which came on towards the end of longer walks. I tried various off the shelf treatments but none were effective. However following a visit to Lindsay I was quickly sorted out; she conducted a gait analysis and ordered bespoke insoles for me. Thanks to her I am now confidently pounding the hills again – it’s a shame she can’t cure old age!
Problem solver!
I visited Lindsay several years ago and she diagnosed what was wrong with my foot. The orthotics she prepared have meant that I can keep walking in the hills and mountains - which was my key aim. Since then I have had the orthotics refurbished as I have used them so much! Would definitely recommend her and have done so, as friends have also been helped by her!
Amazing service
Amazing service, the whole team were so helpful and gave great advice.

Lindsey has kept me running for over 15 years, her orthotics have done many thousands of miles been recovered several times and are still going strong. Great service and always happy to give me good advice
Can't be cured but have been greatly eased
Lindsay was brilliant from investing my longstanding issue of shin splints and knee and foot pain to getting the actual orthotics. Was bit sceptical of how much going private sould cost me to nhs treatment but its like comparing Ferrari to Ford. They needed some slight tweaking and went back to the lab but came back from Canada in what I thought was a great timeframe given we had Xmas in there. Used the new insoles first time today hiking up the Langdales and my feet and shins send their unrequited love. Can't recommend highly enough. Thank you 😁
