Efficient and friendly service with knowledgeable staff.
Helpful, friendly, fast and efficient service. I needed help fitting an attachment to my bike and the team at Balfe's did it straightaway. I was very grateful and impressed with their efficiency.
Balfe’s Bikes
The friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff.
I’ve only recently discovered Balfe’s Bikes and am already impressed with them.
Balfe’s is now my go to bike shop.
You mended a puncture on my bike
You mended a puncture on my bike, but left glass fragments inside the tyre and also damaged the new inner tube. As a result, I had a rapid tyre deflation two days later which nearly resulted in me being thrown from the bike. Not great!
I wasn't going to bother you with this (or ever again for that matter), but you asked me to review you.
Not just once
Not just once, but several times i have stopped my local Bafe's in Fulham with a testing problem ( for me) on my battered folder and asked for help. Without exception these guys have provided the solution with a smile, often just requesting a kind review ... so here it is Sam , thank you very much !

Not sure I would go back to the Fulham shop ever again.
I went to get a service on a Saturday morning (having called during the week to say what I needed and was advised to drop it off)and met a dismissive terse man who I think was called Simon.
When asked what the issues with my bike was he did not let me fully explain before interrupting and talking over me. I would not describe him as friendly.
I explained that I needed my bike back by Tuesday if possible as it is my workhorse. and was told this should be fine.
Someone called me that same afternoon to explain what parts were needed and I gave my approval to go ahead with the work. I received three different quotes by email and verbally. The final price was now double the £75 I had expected to pay. my bike was not ready on the Tuesday so I had to spend money to get to work. No one called to say it would be delayed. I called the store and was told, "They are doing the work right now". Not very reassuring.
the next day I went to collect the bike and waited a considerable amount of time in the shop without being acknowledged. "Simon" was discussing a sale with a customer and did not even look at me. time was running short for me to get to work on time, so I politely said, "I'm sorry to interrupt, but I'm here to collect my bike and need to get to work". I dismissed quite rudely by "Simon" who didn't call anyone else to help; did not apologise for the wait; and said, " I can't interrupt what I'm doing". Then ignored me again.
Luckily someone else happened to come up the stairs at that time, so I was able to collect my bike.
Whilst the new parts had been fitted well, I was disappointed that my kickstand was still hanging off with a missing screw and when I rode away my bike seat kept shifting from side to side.
Not sure I would go back to the Fulham shop ever again.

Back on the road again..!!
Excellent service, knowledgeable staff.
I interacted with several members of staff and found them all to be so helpful.
And more importantly no hard sell, I knew my bike needed more work than I could afford at the time.
I’m back on the road and will definitely be using them in the near future.

I arrived in the pouring rain with a bicycle that had a puncture just before closing time. The two gentlemen were very kind and helpful and advised they would try to sort the puncture out the next day. I was very grateful to them. Thank you
