Top service.
Top service.. knowledgeable staff who gave me multiple options on a SRAM warranty part; even though I hadn’t bought the bike from them!
They fixed the issue, saving a lot of time.. top service and also perfectly wrapped bars to boot! So helpful my stepson bought his Giant Defy from them shortly after.

Excellent service
Excellent service. Staff at this branch are very friendly and helpful. I would definitely choose Belfies for all my cycling needs, and if I have any issues, Gatwick branch would be the one I would visit!

Nipped up today with a squeaky Wife bike on the off chance someone could help - Nick dropped everything took the bike off and then gave it a a quick ride to test it. He then waited for me to do the same before agreeing it was fixed! Then gave me a really good honest appraisal of what I need for my next gravel bike - covered all the key things I needed to know and some more! Top man

Excellent service, knowledgable and friendly
Excellent service - listened to us when my son talked through some issues he’d experienced with his bike, then showed us how we can look after the bike above what we already do. Very knowledgeable and helpful. Would recommend
Unfortunately had a bad experience both…
Unfortunately had a bad experience both times I used balfes, the first time I went to test ride my new e bike and they hadn't put it together properly so I fell and broke the light on my brand new bike. This causes us to wait over an hour for them to fix the bike. Then we had to come back all the way to Gatwick for them to fix their mistake. The second time I went in for my servicing, they said it would take 4 days which already sounded long but then it got to 7 days and they still hadn't even touched my bike, so for a week I couldn't use my bike for my daily commute to work which caused a lot of stress and for no reason! Then after a week I was told they needed to order a part for my bike which would take another 5 to 7 days! Eventually I finally got my bike back after about 2 weeks and £185 pound later (plus they tried to charge me extra for the part they ordered even though my bike was in warranty )but I dont think I'll ever use Balfes again and cant recommend them to anyone frankly after my awful experience.
The staff are knowledgeable but could do with extra training on their customer service.

Very disappointed with this company
Very disappointed with this company. Ordered 2 bikes @ £800 each and when they arrived we could not believe the height of the seat despite it being at its lowest position. Had a right game trying to get the seller to pay the carriage charges to send the bike back. Totally regret using this company but want to warn others that the bikes are not true to size. We bought the bikes and chose what we thought was the right size for our height guided by the online Sizing guide for the company. The seats were at least 4 inches too high and was totally impossible to mount the saddle. Despite telling this the company they still classed this as not a fault with the bike and refused to pay carriage charge to send them back. Go elsewhere is my advice!

Reply from Balfe's Bikes - Gatwick Showroom
It was very nearly 5/5 but...
Everyone at Balfe's are super helpful and very knowledgeable and this very nearly became a five-star service rating. There was some mix-up with the order I asked to collect at Gatwick, but when I got confirmation, it said it was being delivered. I then rang up customer service, explained, and they said that it would be changed to a collection from Gatwick. I then received a message saying it was ready, but when I arrived at Gatwick, they said that the bike was flagged for delivery and it wasn't quite ready. But they were apologetic and said that they would have the bite ready for me to take, which it was. I should have thoroughly road tested the bike before I left, but apart from a short ride around the car park, I never. A week later, on a longer ride, I discovered that some of the gears weren't properly aligned on the rear cog, and that was frustrating, as they kept slipping. To be honest, I think that if there hadn't been the mix-up with the order being collected, and if I had taken more time to road test the bike before I left, it would have been identified and they could have remedied it at that point. So in summary, it's something that could have been avoided. It wasn't the end of the world. It was a bit frustrating, and both me and Balfe's could have done better. So I've rated them 4 out of 5, and I rate myself 2 out of 5.
Attentive staff
Confused all round
The team were very helpful while in the shop, but the absence of knowledge as to how my order online was being handled was frustrating.
First of all they said it was available for pick up on the day.
Then said it wasn’t so I should pick it up later on in the week.
They then sent me confirmation the bike would be delivered.
They then cancelled the delivery and reverted back to in store pick up.
When arrived at store after a two hour drive they said it wasn’t available- 15minutes later said it was.
One arm is definitely not talking to the other!
Great place to purchase a bike
Great place to purchase a bike. The staff knowledge is excellent and the after care is the best around. The prices are competitive and a they have a great range on site.
