Professional, helpful and informative on every aspect of the service, from the showroom to the installation. We really appreciated the quality of advice, the products, workmanship, the attention to detail and always leaving the area clean & tidy. One particular area of thanks that we have, we asked for some additional lighting at the start of the job, Barras could not have been more helpful in finding exactly what we wanted and installing it. We had a kitchen and bathroom installed by Barras 15 years ago their level of professionalism has not altered in this time.

John and his team were professional and extremely helpful, the work carried out was to a high standard and the team were a pleasure to deal with and they were extremely hard working. Our kitchen looks amazing.

When looking to buy a new kitchen, I feel I did my homework! I visited all the main DIY chains and the 'big brand showrooms too'. I did not find anything that I was looking for... top quality units that were really solid (including the back panel) that in my opinion would last.
I came across Omega Kitchens and Barras Home Improvements and it was like a BINGO moment! Everything I was looking for in the construction of the units, staff that were knowledgeable and offered advice to benefit me... rather than the hard sell, very competitive prices and the customer service has been fantastic! I could not recommend them more. In fact, I have already sent friends their way!
It was just the best feeling when my builder told me they were the best quality units he has ever installed, even better then his own!!!

Friendly family run company who gave great advice on design of kitchen.
There where a few minor problems along the way but all were resolved quickly to our satisfaction.
Steve the fitter was always cheerful and nothing was too much trouble for him.
Gary James and Andy where always very courteous and readily available to answer any questions.
The completed kitchen was exactly as we wanted it.Great job

We decided to replace our old bath with a low level walk in shower because of family mobility problems. A small bathroom has now been transformed into a shower room which is not only spectacular but has been built with the type of accessories which have aided mobility tremendously. The fittings and fixtures are top of the range and are well worth consideration This level of work does not come cheap but then the best quality never does.If you decide to employ Barras Home improvements you will not be disappointed.

I was really impressed with my kitchen refurbishment.
Right from beginning to end the whole project was managed professionally and the reliability was excellent. I would have no hesitation in recommending Barras Home Improvements as a company to trust.

Barras Home Improvements have truly excelled themselves with our Kitchen Upgrade. From John’s Visit to establish our requirements, James CAD Design and the Installation Team in particular Steve & Sean who started the work. We have to pinch ourselves that we now have a kitchen "to die for" & wouldn't hesitate in using them again. Our conversion incorporated taking out part of the wall between the kitchen & dining room. & utility room door/ framework. The Amtico flooring now ties in the 3 areas & in addition up to the front door. The project managed by Gary went smoothly, and our friends have all commented on who did it & how nice it was. We now have a place for everything and "everything" in its place. Thank you all 👍😎👍

The showroom team were very helpful with advice, made effort to understood what we wanted, and produced an excellent design for the limited space available for a small kitchenette on our top floor for lodgers. As COVID lockdown eased they prioritised us, as they knew we had a deadline for lodgers moving in, and the kitchenette was finished in good time. Andy, Luke and Gary worked very hard, and fitted in around us well. Their electricians were cheerful and efficient too. There was remarkably little mess and it was all left very neat and tidy at the end, with no collateral damage of the two flights of stairs they had to walk up and down several times per day!
We asked them to replace our downstairs WC with a Geberit shower toilet, which was quite a challenge given the small space, and the complex piping and frame to fit in. They persevered heroically, and it looks great and works perfectly. The Amtico mock-parquet floor is beautiful.

A big thank you to all at Barras for a superb job, even more so due to the current difficult circumstances with the lockdown. There was great patience and invaluable advice during the planning stage. The preparation and fitting were top quality and very skilfully carried out with great attention to detail, the finishing touches make all the difference. We are extremely pleased with the finished result. Thanks again, would recommend.

We have used Barras to upgrade our Bathroom, Kitchen and Bedroom. They have always been very professional and carried out their work to a very high standard. They are not the cheapest but you only get what you pay for. Their customer service is second to none. They always help if required even after the guarantees have expired.

We are extremely pleased with our new bathroom. Getting older we decided to have our bath taken out and a walk-in shower put in it's place. During the initial consultation we found John very helpful and constructive and then when we went into the show-room we were impressed by the choice. Once we had chosen our selection we were given the date for installation. The team who worked in our home (the 3Ms) were efficient workers and extremely tidy. They worked well as a team and certainly did a superb job.
While Barras Home Improvements were not cheap they certain did a high quality job.

My kitchen had a complete refit with a new utility room. They completed the work in 4 weeks overcoming obstacles that appeared when the kitchen was stripped out... do not hesitate to use this company. Don’t cut corners - they may not be the cheapest but they are the best!

Twenty two years ago Barras refitted our bathroom to a very high standard and so we had no hesitation in contacting them again to re-figure our bathroom and update our cloakroom. We are not disappointed!

We wanted to have a new kitchen, had initially visited some large, national companies and been put off by the sales methods, lack of transparency in costing and dismissing questions about fitting units into the room, or hidden extra costs that would be discussed with the 3rd party contractors during installation.

Then we found Barras.

From start to finish the whole team were superb over the very extended period while we considered options. The attention to detail in the planning and design was second to none, suggestions based on their experience really made a difference to the final usability of the kitchen, and the complete breakdown of the costs provided was refreshingly clear and straightforward. The whole team worked together flawlessly, from the initial dismantling of the old kitchen, to the investigations of the plumbing and wiring, solving problems on the spot in real time and keeping us up to date with the schedule as the work progressed.

They were neither the least or most expensive of the quotes that we had, but they without doubt the best. We would strongly recommend them and not hesitate to go back to Barras for any future work.
