Had Gel pot toes at West Bridgford this morning. Inga was probably the best I have had there. She did an excellent job.

I recently attended the West Bridgford Branch for some gel nail polish and to say it was a disappointment is an understatement. Although originally the nails looked OK it was clear that the thumbs had not dried so they had to be done again. A week later they had yo be removed altogether as they were cracked and unsightly. My previously strong nails were absolutely ruined. Although they offered a complementary treatment it won't be taken up as I will not set my foot in that place again. It has gone downhill with lots of new staff who require more training.

Awful waxes - unfortunately I bought a course of bikini waxes. The second left me in a huge amount of pain with the wax being far too hot and the beautician repeatedly waxing the same patches. She left a lot of hair and the lady that fixed it was shocked. My fourth wax was just done for holiday. I have so much hair left I’m having to shave as though I didn’t wax. I didn’t notice at the time because the area was numb and painful for the day before I got on my flight.
I’ve had lots of successful waxes in the same area so it’s very much a them problem.
If you can’t wax don’t wax. Please!
Safe to say I will not be booking again and strongly recommended against it.

I am in my late 60s and have had wax treatments for more than 20years. My recent experience in Loughborough was the worst I have had.
My beautician seemed rushed and dropped hot wax all around my legs onto the tissue sheet and applied it to me unevenly. When she did my right inner thigh, she leant across me rather than moving herself and trolley and didn’t tension the skin when the wax was removed. I shouted in pain and she said nothing. My leg immediately appeared red raw and although she then proceeded to do the backs of my legs, she said nothing more to me.
When I got to the cash desk the woman said she could see I wasn’t happy and discounted my bill. I said I’d be sending her photos of the damage.
I sent pictures and the ‘manager’? said she’d look into it.
Two weeks on I’ve heard no more.
I will never use this company again.

Went to westbridgford branch for a present which was a hot stone massage , facial, head massage , foot massage , and it’s a lovely place a lovely room the lady Leanne I think was her name , was great, I’m a bigger person size 20-22 and was worried self conscious, but no need I was made to feel amazing thankyou , what a great gift from my friend I would recommend

Visited the Beauty Temple retreat (Castle Donington) and left feeling rather deflated and let down by the whole experience. First off, upon booking the appointment I was asked to give a £20 deposit which I thought was a bit steep but I fully get why a deposit is taken. I asked for acrylic nails as I’m not keen on the overall result of gel builder enhancements (I am a trained nail tech in both gel and acrylic nail enhancements) but was quite bluntly told I was only able to have gel as nobody was available who is trained in acrylics.
I arrived for my appointment 10 minutes early and was told that as I was early I’d have to just hang around and wait (no offer of a drink or to say the cafe was open, nothing!) about 15 minutes later I was called to get my nails done. I had a consultation to discuss nail shape, length etc. told the technician I wanted stiletto shaped nails to which she said “oh like almond shaped” I said no more of a point. After all that I ended up with round nails and the excuse of “I find stiletto shaped nails too hard to do”! They look awful, the more I look at them the angrier I feel. The nails have gaps at the bottom making them look like they’ve got a 2 week grow out! They’re bumpy and misshapen from where the builder was applied too thick and didn’t have enough time to set properly between each coat. I brought the dodgy shape of the nails and the poor application of the builder to the technician’s attention but she sort of filed over it very gently to no avail. To add insult to injury I was overcharged by £10 which I luckily got back. It cost me £45 for nails that look half grown out that I’ll have to now pay to have removed. I think this place needs to certainly look into each member of staff’s training and skill set and maybe have them specialising in certain aspects rather than everyone doing everything. They charge spa prices for below average treatments. I used to frequently visit the owl house spa which was wonderful on every occasion but this place seems very lacklustre, it seems they’ve spent more money on making the place look nice than what they’ve spent on hiring or training staff. I shan’t be returning.

Me & my friend visited the one in Castle Donington & I can not recommend it enough. A******* service staff were lovely & very welcoming and accommodating. The venue was beautiful and clean. Treatment and hot tub service was A******.The desserts were such a treat. I will be definitely visiting again. Thank you

PLEASE AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
I booked 3 pre wedding appointments for hair and make up for this Sunday, I recieved a call Sunday morning to say the hairdresser had called in sick so could only do make up. So they are saying they only have one hairdresses available given they have lots of salons, I have had to re arrange with my bridesmaids who both work so trying to re book with them will be difficult.
What will happen if this is the case on my wedding day.
I have totally lost confidence, the staff do not seem concerned or sympathetic.
I am demanding my deposit back and I'm going to re book with a salon that appreciates the buisness.
Very angry and upset.

Heard really good things about beauty temple and my partner uses city centre and west bridgeford branches regularly and cannot fault the service.

However today was my first experience of a massage deal we had as a gift for Christmas. The visit was to the retreat at castle donnington and the experience was somewhat unsatisfying.

The pizza served in the cafe was not great. And steer clear from the cocktails as the glitterbomb my partner always orders was completely different and the espresso martini I had was so overpowering with vanilla it made me feel sick. No warning on the menu that vanilla syrup is used.
Waitress staff never asked if everything was ok with food or drinks.
After the meal we then had to wait 20 minutes for our pre booked slot time without any communication that we’d have to wait so long.

A real shame as the site itself has so much potential. Could really do with some improvement to align it with the standard of the other sites as the experience I’ve had today has damaged my opinion of the branded chain.

Staff need training on customer service communication skills and massages should be same standard as the other branches. Missed head massage for full body hot stone treatment.

Quality food and drinks at this kind of establishment are a must.

Hopefully experience better things next time I’m invited to the one in town by my partner.

I had a bikini wax with a therapist Emily Mae, I received first class service today. Absolutely brilliant she talked me through everything I felt extremely comfortable and at ease. Emily couldnt have done a better service I am so pleased with the way she handled the treatment process considering such a sensitive treatment to have done!
Thank you so much.. if you are hesitant to have a wax treatment like I was today at beauty temple I would highly recommend them!

When I moved to Mapperly I started with a new hairdresser who, within a few months, was taken over by Beauty Temple. So as it was what I knew I gave them a chance. I have an Autism Spectrum Condition and can sometimes find hairdressing a bit difficult. I struggle with the sensory input in the environment and also how to make small talk with a hairdresser whilst they're doing my hair! haha. These guys are really lovely and do everything they can to make your visit. I have a membership with them that cost me £70 for a year, which is massively worth it as you get a free cocktail with each visit and a free spa day to the Owl House Spa (near East Midlands Airport). It is a bit pricey as far as hairdressing/beauty goes, but you are certainly getting what you pay for.
