Lovely lunch

Went to Langford lane, Kidlington for lunch with my daughter and ex-work colleagues Widow for a meal and a bit of a catch-up.
Lovely meal, requested extras, was no problem. We weren’t rushed and server was available when needed.
Very enjoyable thank you.
Only 4/5 as ketchup seemed limited.

Went for Breakfast at Hutton Moor

Went for Breakfast at Hutton Moor, Weston Super Mare on 25th March 2026. Got there at 09:15. Ordered the £10.99 Unlimited. The only good thing about the visit was the young lady who greeted me at the 'Please Wait Here To Be Seated' sign. That Was a Wait of 4 Mins and Two Other Couples behind me. She had to take me up to the Bar Area in order to Pay... Surely there Should have been a Card Reader Either AtThat Greet Point or at the Table !? Anyway, She mentioned about the Poached Eggs had to be ordered as they are not at the Self Serve Counter so I ordered 2. Shown me to small table but it was rather cold as near to Air Con Blower. Anyway, went up for a plate. Just as well as there was only 2 left! First was Tomato's, nice enough & cut in half. Next, Beans, Plenty Of. Next, Hash Browns, Plenty but So Dry. Next, Mushrooms, Huge and cut in half. Next, Sausages, plenty of. Next, Black Pudding, NONE. Next, fried eggs, seemed ok. Got Back to seat. Finished the plate. Mediocre. Still No Poached Eggs. By this time it was 30 mins. Waited a further 10-12 mins before They turned up and then went up for a 2nd plate With the 2 Poached Eggs. Long queue as people were waiting for Plates and Still no Black Pud. I kinda skipped as said to people in the queue that I didn't want to wait for the Black Pudding. Went back to seat and ate that 2nd plate. The sausages were not good quality. Hash Browns could break glass. The rest was Mediocre as I said. Went to Toilet (Men's Room) and only 1 of 2 cubicles was open but Tissue Paper all over floor and Not One Soap Dispenser had Soap. In All, Not Very Good Experience 😕 😒 I'm being Generous with a 2 Star Review here.

We went to bagle Brooke in port talbot

We went to bagle Brooke in port talbot. The worst Sunday dinner I have ever had. Instant gravy that had awful lumps in. Turkey that was nota fresh roasted one it was the worst processed turkey I have ever had. The carrots tasted like vomit. Under cooked parsnips, and the palest roast potatoes if that’s what you really want to call them. The beef was the same. No cranberry sauce or mint sauce. £15 + for the worst dinner I have ever tasted. Someone needs to sack the chef!! Or put them on a training course!! Never again!

The worst Christmas dinner I have ever had…

We visited Mill Lodge Lincoln.Booked for Xmas dinner with the family at a cost of almost £70 per head. All three courses were poor quality and the main meal was warm at best! It was topped with a generous topping of water with a hint of gravy! It tasted like a very poor quality microwave meal! The atmosphere was terrible…Would NOT recommend. Extremely disappointing.

Very friendly service with a smile from the Team (Shane, Kevin, Adele, Julie, Linda, Kate, Ovito, Sandra). Highly recommended. We have been visiting Oyster Reach Beefeater once a week over 3 years because of the wonderful staff and extremely good food and value for money. Well done and thank you.

Ruined our Day

Booked for a Sunday Roast for 16.45 which was the last time slot. When we were being shown to our table the member of staff was telling us there was no crispy prawns left or chicken. I said it does not matter we have booked for the Sunday Roast . He then informed us that there was no roast left either. So I said we had just as well go home but we would have had to either get a takeaway from somewhere or start cooking ourselves which is the last thing we wanted to do. So we decided to see what they did have left. We both ordered Gammon and pineapple with chips and peas . Now we had a 25% discount code for booking the meal on line. What they failed to inform us was that they just give you 25% less food on your plate to cover it. Bit like food manufacturers reducing the weights of their products whilst also putting prices up. I had 11 chips and at best a table spoon of peas and the Gammon was about 10cm in Diameter they were even too stupid to put it on a smaller plate to make it at least appear to fill a plate. We all know about inflation we are all living with it but what we do not need is to be insulted by sneaky underhanded tricks to try and squeeze a bit more revenue out of Jo Public. I think my eating out days are coming to an end. Most certainly at the Beefeater Restaurants.

The 5* review is mainly for Lauren

The 5* review is mainly for Lauren, my server at The Orchard Beefeater, Twyford. She could not have been more professional if she tried …. Bubbly, enthusiastic, attentive, just to name a few attributes she demonstrated. Sadly, I could not say same for the food, which was mediocre at best. As I was on a package deal it was reasonable value, but if I was paying full price I would’ve been very disappointed.

Beefeater Marsh Mills Plymouth

Beefeater Marsh Mills Plymouth. Pub grub at steak house prices. Fillet steak, burnt beyond edible, wrong food sent, service was great though, until we paid, when we told the server, we weren’t happy with the food, and listed the issues, she said, “ahh, your not having a good day are you” then took the £83!

Depressingly poor

I’ve just had a steak and salad for £20 at Beefeater Ashford and frankly for the price, which deserves something reasonable, it was awful. The steak was tough, the chopped salad was primitive / tasteless, and if the pepper sauce had any pepper in it you could knock me down with a feather.

I felt I’d visited the inheritor of a 1970s motorway service station. The depressing thing is that making it better would be easy and cost nothing.

Yet, the girl who served was kind and good. She deserves better and I felt sorry for her.

Terrible service

Terrible service, over charged. Check your bill before leaving. Waited over an hour for food which was mediocre and no mushrooms or pees. Offered extra tomatoes even though we said leave off tomatoes. We will never go there again

Gourdie Croft , Dundee

This is the second and final time we have been to this restaurant !! Not many people in there both times , I ordered the Special Sunday Lunch with Turkey , Gammon and Beef , no Turkey but offered Chicken instead , perfectly acceptable . Though no Yorkshire Pudding's at 14.30 Definitely NOT !!
I changed my order to Rump Steak which I have to say was lovely but not many Chips ! Also the Fish and Chip's while lovely was lacking in a descent portion of Chip's ! My cousin had a sandwich as soon as he got home as he was still hungry !!

Brilliant service at the Marsh Mills restaurant this evening. Food was fast and delicious and our waitress Grace was really lovely, both friendly & efficient. Couldn’t have asked for more from her. Well done Grace! ☺️

Went wrong from the start

Went wrong from the start
Gentleman sat us down at our table, said waitress would be over. Never told us that any food wasn't available. Waitress came over and said sorry she didn't realise we were there and only spotted us when she turned around. We had already been looking at the menu and she told us that 2 items were not available and chicken not turkey for the roast.
We finally decided to have 2 ultimate Sunday roasts. Waited quite a while for our food. The beef was awful couldn't cut it with the steak knife Never mind trying to chew it. Put as side more than we ate. At no point did any member of staff ask if our food was OK. When we told the Waitress that the beef was bad, her answer was I didn't buy it or cook it. Wrong reply!!!
Had a sharer pudding in compensation but that was left in warm kitchen too long as it had started to melt and go watery.
Won't be rushing back any time soon
