Chef was on his phone instead of making…
Chef was on his phone instead of making food. They over booked and staff were rude.
Very pleasant evening
Lovely food and good service . Our server Lisa C 5101 was really good. She was very busy, very efficient and pleasant with it.
Beefeater Priory Marina Bedford
The full breakfast quality has gone downhill this is the 3rd time I have had to send back half cooked sausages and hash browns with raw potatoe inside , plus the cooked breakfast is Luke warm. It’s no good replacing the uncooked food while the remainder of breakfast is going cold, the whole lot should be replaced and they need to get a different supply of sausages as to grainy. Come on beefeater Bedford get your act together!
Absolutely disgusted with the area…beefeater Guildford unprofessional area manager
Absolutely disgusted with the area manager at beefeater Guildford , four person group , man woman 28 and two 14 year olds one of whom is autistic , arriving at eight in the evening , restaurant was half full and quite a few of the travelling persuasion , nowt wrong with that , the group of four walked in , and even though half the restaurant was empty , they was told that the restaurant had no tables . The area manager told the group that she refused to serve them even though they just walked in , so they left , rang from outside was told that there was a table available in ten mins , the group re entered said they had a reservation and she hit the roof screaming , told them they could sit down and a dirty table and she would still not serve them , and elderly couple entered , were sat at a table and handed menus , the area manager then started saying the kitchen and bar were closed , she called the adult female( a word even this review won’t let me write ) when she was asked about it she said I called you something else and refused to say what , she refused to give her name the whole way through this , kept saying she had been putting up with this all day , so obviously she had a bad day , and took it out on innocent customers , the party left , yet again rang the booking line spoke to Darcy and Sam who said he was the booking manager he booked another table and wrote in the notes do not turn away !! So again the group entered the restaurant but this time recorded the conversation she was asked to check the bookings , she told the party that she was not checking the bookings that there is no men working for beefeater Guildford , she tried to get customers involved asking them their opinion , and all this time people are entering the restaurant , which was in the worst state we’ve ever seen it in and she was totally not able to do her job she was loosing control , as a family we use this restaurant a lot , it’s perfect for us , the fact that my autistic daughter will eat there is also a plus . My 14 year old daughter was mortified and shocked and yes a bit humiliated by the fact this area manager was abrasive rude and unprofessional from the min the group walked in , a Christmas treat of ice skating then dinner was ruined by one woman’s inability to do her job , her instant prejudice of not liking the look of her customers her childish behaviour when she realised she had crossed a line of no return and her utter vileness that ruined a family meal that was part of a Christmas present for a 14 year old girl .

Beefeater, Longbridge, Birmingham
Over the past 6 wks, we have had problems with our local Beefeater, which we think now will be improved, we hope. They sacked the only chef who could cook steaks to perfection;
stopped serving jacket potatoes, no alternative other than chips (were is dietary needs for those who can't have chips
2 fabulous waitresses left, because of the attitude of the manager, yet the 2 girls who stood in till a new manager was placed would have been friendly brilliant managers.
Another time Two meals came and were covered in oil, jacket potatoes had butter/or oil over them, they never charged us for those meals.
A huge company and yet they do not answer your enquiries or emails, after writing to them expressing how they were treated, by whom or why jacket potatoes taken off menu, when you can buy packed frozen bags of jacket potatoes, stick them in the microwave, OR HAVE BEEFEATER NO HEARD OF THAT METHOD!!!!"
We have been using the Beefeater chain…
We have been using the Beefeater chain for number of years with various frends and family members. The resturants were previously very good value offering full meals at disccunted prices - we even joined the rewards club.
After covid most of the reductions seem to have been removed or considerably reduced. There is no top drinks or chips any more. The worst thing is that the portion sizes have been reduced. I counted only 9 chunky chips with my much reduced steak last visit. Even the tiny salad helping is extra. We had to come home and eat something else last time we visited a Beefeater. Chips cost very little to produce - This is no longer good value food.
Beefeater - Woolwich. The meal was awful!!!
The meal was awful!!!
Triple cooked chips tasted like frozen chips that were microwaved.
Double crunch Chicken wings - were soggy and oily and had no crunch at all.
Was sitting opposite the “cooking station” and saw the “chef” (food warning man) pour gravy from a plastic bag on to a Turkey roast.. At that point, we had to leave
Why new staff? They haven’t a clue
Went to countess wear beefeater. Normally great meal but this time wasn’t the best. Said from 9th November Christmas menu but no turkey????? Drinks normally flo but took over half hour waiting.
Beefeater Great Yarmouth Norfolk
We are in Norfolk for our honeymoon and have eaten twice this week at the Beefeater in Great Yarmouth. No complaints regarding service or the food. All came as ordered and was tasty and hot. Staff both times friendly and nothing too much trouble. Special shout out to Sergi and Luke for their service this evening.
Lauren saved the day at Newton Abbot Beefeater.
My wife and I visited the Newton Abbot Beefeater on the evening of 4th November. We booked online and were glad we did as the restaurant was very busy. Many people were being turned away. When we arrived we were shown to our table where we met our waitress Lauren.
Lauren was absolutely fantastic. She came over, took our drinks order, gave us a little time with the menu, and then took our food order. Lauren was polite, friendly and professional. She was attentive to our needs and to the other customers she was serving. If this review was solely about our waitress, then Lauren would get 5 stars. She was brilliant.
However, the food let the restaurant down. We ordered two premium steak meals (Surf and Turf and the Three Steak Meal). We requested that both were cooked medium. When we got our steaks they were totally raw inside. Blood everywhere.
We immediately flagged down the member of kitchen staff who had brought our steaks to our table. He saw how uncooked they were, apologised, grabbed a side plate and took the steaks back to the kitchen. We were each left with a plate which had chunky chips sat in a pool of blood. We weren't happy. When a couple are spending nearly £50 on steaks, and the kitchen messes up the order, take back the whole plate and redo the whole plate with fresh onion rings, fresh mushrooms, fresh chips and properly cooked steak. Don't leave the customer with the choice of having to wait with a cold plate of food whilst they wait for the steaks to return, or eating blood soaked chips and then a long wait to eat steak by itself when it finally arrives back. Serve them the full meal they ordered. Hot!
When the same steaks eventually came back, they were medium cooked, albeit a little tougher. The nice touch was that the member of kitchen staff, who brought our steaks back, took our refillable soft drinks glasses away and didn't return with them. We were left with no drinks.
When Lauren came over she was appalled at the service we had received. She immediately sorted our drinks and apologised for what we had experienced.
Beefeater Newton Abbot. You need to be aware that Lauren was brilliant (5*) but your kitchen let you down (3*). So our averaged rating is 4*.
Somerford beefeater Busy but first table was in a walk way…
Busy but first table was in a walk way we asked to move and after we located a nicer table ,it was ok.
Food choices seemed good but calamari starter came on a whole bed of red chilli, which was too hot to eat, very odd, deep fried mushroom were watery. Mixed grill was nice steak well cooked to medium , sweetcorn on chicken main was watery , chicken skin not crispy . 3 desserts , sticky toffee was really nice, churros and brownie sundae was disappointing as churros were chewy and not hot. Brownie and chocolate sauce was not warm as described so was a solid lump.
Our waitress Lily-mae was helpful and friendly throughout the service ,when we mentioned the issue with the sundae she removed it from the bill.
We visited THE HAYWAIN
We visited THE HAYWAIN. STANFORD LE HOPE Wednesday 25 October lunchtime. on being shown to our table the waitress took our order. SOME 35 MINS LATER IT ARRIVED, Both meals arrived, were warm NOT HOT which we ate as we were not prepared to wait another 35 mins for a second try. It took a further 20 mins for the table, half of the food was left as it was stone cold after a few mins, to be cleared when I complained about the meal not being hot and my fish could have been cooked a bit more! she apologised and said it was all due to shortage of staff. I Tried to contact Beefeater Grill over ten times on different days to complain and get update on my loyalty card IMPOSSIBLE could not get through AS THEY HAD A TECNICAL PROBLEM !! They still have NOT sorted the problem out after nearly a WEEK What sort of outfit is running this scheme/ I have been a very loyal customer over a number of years. BUT, i AM AFRAID MY LOYALTY WILL NOT CONTINUE IF THIS IS THE WAY WHITBREAD CONTINUES TO GIVE THIS DEPLORABLE SERVICE.
The Crossbush Beefeater Arundel
Went to The Crossbush Beefeater near Arundel, staff very nice, food mediocre which I complained about, but that didn't get me anywhere. Got the receipt, which I checked, and paid.
When I got home and checked my bank I had been actually charged over £23 more than my receipt shows. It is proving very difficult to get a refund!
Ashford (Kent) Beefeater at Eureka Park
A great meal for my birthday marred by the inability of management to understand Whitbread’s own T&Cs around their own loyalty scheme…. I visit regularly and have been part of the loyalty scheme for a long time now. Earning points and converting them to vouchers is easy and the T&Cs clearly state “7. Vouchers can be used in conjunction with other points based vouchers and one other promotion, including the Whitbread Privilege card”. This means such vouchers are not classed as an “offer” or a “promotion” and, as stated, any number can be used with ONE other offer. I took two vouchers (2 - free starters and 2 x free desserts) along tonight and my Mum gets the NHS discount. For as long as I can remember in any Beefeater, you can use all three as the earned loyalty vouchers can be used with one other offer. Bizarrely, tonight, the Duty Manager said we could only use two of these offers - clearly breaching their own T&Cs! He clearly doesn’t understand Whitbread’s own rules and means we were stopped from using one of the loyalty vouchers EARNED through eating at Beefeater! It is ridiculous that people in the organisation can just make up the rules “on the fly” which is what happened tonight. I would avoid eating at Eureka Beefeater if you have promotions to use as you are at risk of being severely disappointed by separate rules that seem to operate there…
Halifax Beefeater
Halifax Beefeater. I rarely leave feedback for anything unless it is really good or really bad. I’m sad to say that this was bad. The food was ok, and just ok. The service left a lot to be desired though, in particular the three staff that were on duty giggling like kids as we left, I found particularly distasteful. I won’t be back.
Booked a table at the long reach…
Booked a table at the long reach Whitstable 4.30pm for 4people.
We didn't get served until 4.45 we had starters and mains.
Overall experience was awful.
It was my sons birthday treat.
Our main meals didn't arrive until 6pm we were so tempted to just get up and walk out, but when it arrived the chips were cold and one meal had to go back.
The manager said it would be 5 minutes 15 min later it arrived.
It just before 7pm we left that's nearly 2 1/2 hours😡
I will definitely not be returning.
There was food all over the floor and tables just left with dirty plates I would understand if it was busy but it certainly wasn't.
We have been many times as it's local to us but it's definitely gone down hill we will definitely not be returning.
I went to the beefeater in Farnborough
I went to the beefeater in Farnborough. My girlfriend and I were shocked at how poor the service and food was. There was 2 people working the bar and floor - 2 people! It took 40 minute to receive a pint of peroni and a gin and tonic. The food was awful to say the least - avoid at all costs! I would rather have a ready meal than dine at the beefeater again.
Feeling of being overcharged. Advertising 2 and 3 courses lunchtime…
Feeling of being overcharged. Advertising 2 and 3 courses lunchtime menu but no pricing for individual course/dish. Never been to a restaurant that doesn’t have pricing on menu. In the days of full transparency and clear pricing this is totally unacceptable. We worked out it could be cheaper to buy some of the lunchtime dishes and a dessert for less than the price of the 2 course. Why have the prices been removed. Give us the choice of how to order. Reluctant to return due to loss trust.
