Bensons For Beds - Edinburgh Straiton Reviews 

I ordered the wardrobe in Nov 2024 and I still not get the wardrobe now. It is around 7 months . The supplier never contacted me about the delivery date.

Good information, well informed. No hard sell. Pleasant but not over pushy.

Just bought my second bed and Kevin the salesman was great.No pressure and a very pleasant guy.Great people skills.

We have bought several beds from Bensons. The salesman had the right balance of allowing us time to have a look. Then he had a discussion with us and from there he showed us the bed we have ordered.
Excellent example of treating the customer correctly and providing good advice.

Always wary about going into showrooms and being pounced upon by a salesperson. Just want to have a look and ask for assistance if needed. In Bensons having a look for a trundle bed, Stevie said hello, introduced himself and said if we needed anything to just ask. That’s what I like rather than getting a full interrogation and being followed about. We could not see a trundle bed and then spoke to Stevie. He couldn’t have been more helpful, explaining bed not on display, but a double bed of the same style was. He showed us this and then let us look at the single/trundle bed on the website. He answered our questions about size, mattress options and delivery. Told us about the special bank holiday discounts on purchases over a certain amount. Gave us an indicative price for a combination to give us an idea of cost. We said we would need to go home and check out measurement’s in the bedroom. Went back next day to have another look and decided to buy. Stevie gave us all the info we needed to make a mattress choice. The price of the bed had dropped from the previous day making the total cost under the amount for the extra discount. He said that if we spent another £80 or so we would qualify for the discount and only pay about £3 more than the original price. So two single duvets, king size mattress protector, double duvet and two pillows later we paid the extra £3 or so. The whole delivery process was explained and how to make any changes to delivery date if we needed to. I recently had a delivery of wardrobes that I had purchased from bensons for beds. One of the main selling points for me was that there was free assembly on this particular item .
I have now had my wardrobes delivered and assembled. As I was working I had to arrange for someone else to take delivery and wait while they were assembled. Although the delivery driver / assembler was very friendly and efficient I feel that the assembly should have been done by 2 people and not just-one as was the case.The doors of the wardrobe are mirrored and very heavy. The finished wardrobe is very unstable and there is a lot of movement when the doors are closed. I am very dissatisfied with this aspect of my purchase, although I am happy with the wardrobes. I was advised to attach the wardrobes to the wall but surely this is for safety rather than to make the wardrobes stable .
I don’t want to get someone else to fix this as I am afraid it would invalidate the 10 year warranty that came with the wardrobes.

This is the second time I have purchased in your store in Stratton park Edinburgh because of Gary the sales person he was honest and extremely knowledgeable about all products so I would go back as a loyal customer

Gary the salesman was excellent with his gentle advice but no pushiness or hard sale. Pointed out a few choices and gave pointers as to how we might judge our needs and the type of mattress to try out and its features. Quite easy to make our minds up, but pricing was wrongly advertised on the stand at the mattress we chose so there was a tiny debate at the "make your mind up point", fortunately they made the correct decision to stand by the price on show instead of forcing us to pay the latest price. Altogether a good buying experience.😀
