I made a purchase from bergzeit.be with…

Edit: I increased the rating after a swift reply from Bergzeit. I have now received the label for a free return.

I made a purchase from bergzeit.be with 30 day money back advertisement at the top of the page. 2 of my purchased items came damaged. I tried to return but received:
"For returns from Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Great Britain, the return is free (except large items).
unfortunately we can not offer free returns from other countries. Send the package with enough postage and packed to the following address: Bergzeit GmbH
Ludwig-Ganghofer-Str. 45 D - 83624 Otterfing
Duitsland"

How is this a 30 day money back policy??!!

In the case of a return of defective articles, however, we will of course bear the costs for the return of the goods.

Ordered a bouldering pad a week ago and…

Ordered a bouldering pad a week ago and status is still 'not yet dispatched'
I have sent numerous emails and not one had been replied too. Feels like a fraudulent website to me. Taken my money and not sent the product out. My order number is 2566912 and I wish for a full refund immediately so I can order a pad from somewhere who will actually send it. I need one this week so am in a awkward situation, thanks for that!!!

Horrible return experience

Terrible return experience

I have now for nearly 1 month been trying to return my package from bergzeit since the shoes i bought did not fit me. I have not received a free return stamp even though i reached out to their customer service.
I am currently still waiting for them to resolve my case and i am afraid i will end up having payed for the small shoes for nothing as it doesn't look like anything is being done from Bergzeit to help me.

I ordered 2 pair of sandals..

I ordered 2 pair of sandals... Unfortunatelly they didn't fit and I returned both.. Now they say I just return one and they don't respond on my email or phone call... I hope they will solve this one, otherwise I need to report this case where I can... :-(

They just solved it... pfffff...

An annoying bug with the online shop but willing-to-help team

My girlfriend ordered a downjacket for around 200€, it all went normally except that the website didn't finalise the purchase but still she got the payment debited from her bank account. The team contacted me rapidly for solving the issue after I posted a review, assuring me they were working on this bug and offered to reimburse or send the jacket. The jacket has been sent the next day via express delivery. The team has been really quick and willing to solve it for the better.

Poor show.

Delivery was good, but the company debited the purchase price twice from my credit card. Despite their promise to respond within 5 days, I have not had a response in almost 2 weeks despite repeated attempts from me to resolve. They do not answer their customer service telephone line.
Update. Issue finally resolved, but only after I posted the above review.

I ordered 2 pairs of Scarpa F1 Evo from…

I ordered 2 pairs of Scarpa F1 Evo from them. I had tested the boot in size 27 in Zermatt and I loved it. So, I ordered one size smaller 26 and 1/2 to check if it was good enough. It turned out to be too small and I ordered a 27. Which for some reason also turned out to be too small. Luckily I contacted them and it was no problem at all to return the two pairs. The delivery has been done from Germany to Switzerland in only 2 days. And the return was practically cost free. About 18 Swiss Francs.

Paid €8.40 to return an item that Bergzeit misrepresented.

I bought an item that did not have the advertised properties. Customer service was extremely slow and did not help get me a free return. In short, I had to send back an item due to their mistake but at my own expense. This is not the present standard for quality among webshops.
Do yourself a favor - go to the competition.
EDIT: Following this review, Bergzeit has contacted me and has offered a satisfactory solution.

What a terrible experience!

What a terrible experience!
This was by far the worst online shopping experience I have had!
- The order confirmation never arrived.
- They charged me more money than they should have.
- When I wanted to return the item, they gave me a wrong label.
- I never received my money back, so I had to threaten them with the Europen Protection Agency and only then did they send the money with the pretext, that the transfer got lost in the system (of course).

I am very happy with Bergzeit

I am very happy with Bergzeit: I called them to ask them about the returns (as I ordered from the Netherlands) and they said that I would have to pay for the return. It is also stated on their website.

The parcel arrived when promised, it was well packaged and I did have to return it as it did not fit well. Bergzeit returned money a day after they received the parcel. Also, customer service responded relatively quickly to all inquiries and you can call them - there is actual person that you can talk to. So - this is a very good webshop from my experience.

Terrible experience with returns - no money back!

I returned an item more than a week ago and I haven't received any news yet. Apparently, the item arrived 7 days ago but no one was there to pick it up and they have not picked it up yet.
I tried to contact Bergzeit by telephone several times but no one picks up the phone neither.
Through the form, I sent already two too. No one has replied.

AVOID BUYING HERE !!

In case you - Bergzeit - are reading this, my order number is 2066402, and I want my money back.

Don't be fooled by the .co.uk website!

I order some avalanche equipment from their bergzeit.co.uk website - It arrived 8 days later than they had stated and the transceiver was in a poor state - scratched and even had a dent in the top of it.

I tried to ring their customer service number (a German number), but kept getting through to an automated message in German - I.e. a language I don't speak sadly!

I emailed their customer service, stating that I needed a quick resolution to my problem as I needed to use the equipment very soon. They took over a week to reply to each message I sent them.

I eventually gave up with the emails and kept trying on the phone until I got through. I have now been promised some money off, over a month after I ordered.

Today I received my phone bill with an extra £18 on top for phoning Germany! Massive waste of my time to be followed up by me paying more on my phone bill.

Don't be fooled by the .co.uk website!

Climbing shoes "in stock", 4 days later not sent yet. Can't cancel order.

I bought a pair of Climbing shoes on Bergzeit.de which were "auf lager", so in stock and estimated delivery time "1-3 days".

4 days later the shoes weren't shipped yet so I tried to cancel the order and get my money back. However, it's not possible to cancel an order on the website (!!) so now I have to wait for Monday and hope they will cancel it.

This shop feels like a scam, I don't believe they had the shoes in stock and they don't really care about letting me know what's happening or why they didn't send the items I already paid for.

If you were lucky than me and read these reviews before ordering, please don't order from Bergzeit! That's the best advice I can give.

Friendly and swift service

Ordered by mistake the wrong size ski boots. I cancelled the order by telephone - very friendly service - and the money returned immediately (PayPal). The right size ski boots arrived in Denmark within two weeks and was 130 euro cheaper than the second cheapest I could find

Terrible experience - do not recommend to anyone

On 28/10 I bought a jacket on their website and it has still not been shipped. I paid 350 CHF to them and I am sure they got the money as I paid by credit card. I contacted them twice via contact form on the website and wrote them an email directly. No answer, nothing. I wish I read the reviews before I made the purchase because everywhere on the internet you see the same experience of people with them: you give them your money but they won't give you the stuff you paid for. You write them but they don't write back. I do not really see a reason why a serious company would do such things...I don't recommend this shop to anyone as this is unimaginable behaviour in 2017. So dear Bergzeit, if you read this, this is my order: 1960307. Please, act on it.

Items not shipped in time and lies from their support

I ordered two set of skis from them. All items were in stock and had 3-5 day delivery time indicated on their web site. When the order was not even shipped after a week, I contacted them by chat. They said the items are already packed and will ship the same morning.

Well, that didn't happen. So I contacted them again after the weekend and got a different answer. It turned out that they had lied when they earlier told the items were already packed. This time the answer was that the items will be packed and shipped that morning.

I didn't believe their explanations any more and decided to cancel my order.

Sells you stuff they don't have.

Tried to buy a jacket. Was in stock, however a couple of days afterwards they emailed me that it was unavailable. Apparantly this regularly happens as they send automatic emails about it right after ordering.
Did get a refund.
