Logging in to my account was a nightmare. Apparently I'd been given two membership numbers (?!!!), I was using the first which worked sporadically on the website & not at all on the app (I wouldn't normally use the app - too small for my eyesight - but I was told I needed to use it for admission). The second seems more reliable, but still haven't been able to use it to gain admission. It's also hard to book classes - they seem to fill up almost instantly on release

We are sorry to hear about your recent experience with us.
Upon looking at your memberships, I can see this has been amended and you have one membership linked to your email address. When logged in to the App, this has your member card linked to it, which will allow you to gain entrance to the centre.
All classes are available 5-7 days before taking place, allowing all members an equal opportunity to book the classes they enjoy. Both the App and website can be used to make bookings for classes and swim sessions, the gym does not need to be booked.
An email has also been sent to you directly, please reply to this if you require further assistance.

Fantastic Lessons for SEND Children
My 5 year old is blind and was very nervous about swimming for lots of reasons. I enrolled her in the Foundation SEND class at Chingford Leisure centre and she loved it from the get go! The teacher - Georgina - was very gentle and patient with my child as she battled her nerves, and with Georgina’s encouragement, she soon entered the water with 3 noodles tied round her middle to keep her afloat. Thanks to Georgina's patience and kindness, my child is counting the days to her next lesson. Thank you to everyone at Chingford Leisure Centre - especially Georgina for making my child’s first time swimming such a pleasure!

I really recommend Better
I really recommend Better. I think they are a very inclusive, great company. I just had a hip replacement and they have frozen my account for two months and quickly unfrozen now I am able to return. I have senior membership as I am over 60 and I think this is great value for money.

We had a misunderstanding at one of your centres and I contacted customer support. Danielle was out liaison - throughout the whole process she was friendly, polite, professional and efficient - an exemplary staff member! Danielle remained in constant contact, liaised with with centre which was then followed up by the centre manager (Tomasz) who was equally helpful and professional. So while our initial experience was somewhat tainted, the overall outcome was one which left us feeling listened to and assisted and everything was resolved to our complete satisfaction.

Generally a really nice pool with great…
Generally a really nice pool with great staff ( except for the constant baby poop smell in the afternoons in the changing rooms, but then there are a lot of babies, so...). But what I dislike: When I am paying full price for SWIM for FITNESS, they have to make sure to offer slow, medium and fast lanes at those times, not just slow and medium, which effectively results in: Two slow lanes. There is nowhere to swim for faster swimmers, yet you are charging them. I am afraid, that is not okay. Also, please make it known, when you have fast lanes available to the paying public. Thank you.

The swimming pool is not warm enough
The swimming pool is not warm enough, you get out of it freezing. The changing room is the same, it's cold. I've been there years ago and I couldn't find the same issue, the water was warmer and the changing room was warmer than now.

Easy enough for me to book online but wonder how people without a smartphone would get on (or those not comfortable using computers etc) as have been told this is the only way to book?

Place stinks of wee smell... Disgusting
There was a stinking smell of wee in the changing rooms coming from the toilets. Told staff and they said toilets will only get cleaned at designated times!!!! Zero hygiene
