Hatfield pool is filthy, changing rooms are disgusting. Also wish they would put better music in the gym ( travellers lane ) in the mornings.

Hatfield swimming pool
Had a disappointing swimming experience today. The free swim area was overcrowded with around 10 people in a 5x4 meter space. Meanwhile, the rest of the pool was taken up with swimming lessons, with only 2 people per lesson. The lane swim was also closed off for lessons with just 2 people. It felt like the pool was more focused on lessons than accommodating general swimmers. Hopefully, you can review the pool's capacity and scheduling to provide a better experience for all.

Great class by instructor Andy really enjoyed his pilates and aqua fit. Great staff in general at the centre. Temperature in the changing rooms need attention and smell in the shower area unpleasant.

The facilities are nice
The facilities are nice, offer many opportunities, nice staff. The water in the pool is often too warm for swimming. There is a lack of organization of swimmers in the pool, some swimmers limit the swimmers in the fast line with their slow swimming. The lifeguards are indifferent to the swimmers' complaints.

I try to swim at least 3 times a week. The changing rooms, showers and pool area are clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. However, it would be nice if the pool was a little bit warmer but that is just personal preference

Went to the Hatfield swim centre to try…
Went to the Hatfield swim centre to try the diving with the kids. The staff there were great. They took the time to sort out some issues rather than say a blanket no (which would have been easier for them).
Great service.

Swimbies with tony
My son does the swimbies with tony every friday morning and he absolutely loves it! My son was scared of water touching his face before coming to the sessions now he splashes and jumps in. Tony sings nursery rhymes with the children and is in the pool with the children which helps their experience. My son always has a happy smile on his face while swimming. Tony is brilliant he laughs with the children sings with them and helps them.

staff are professional and informative
staff are professional and informative. my granddaughter takes swimming lessons, she has progressed very quickly, thanks to the patience and excellent standards of teaching by the instructors.
the only thing i find to be annoying is, that other pool users claim family changing rooms by leaving their clothes in the cubicles.

A Swimming Success and Very Impressed
I’ve been really impressed with the swimming lessons my daughter has been taking at Hatfield swimming centre she has autism and struggle to communicate and understand instructions In just over a month, she’s made amazing progress! Lily, her instructor, has a wonderful approach, making everything calm and playful. The use of floats, pool noodles, and fun little games really keeps the lessons engaging. My daughter looks forward to every session, and I can see her confidence growing in the water. Highly recommend these lessons for anyone looking to help their child learn to swim in a fun and supportive environment!.

Great customer service and great centre
Great receptionist with glasses (didn't catch her name) made us feel welcomed while we visited on holidays. The centre catered to all our needs and we will definitely be back again !
