Firstly when I booked a slot,don't know why but the time I booked was not the one was given to.me,this was sorted out but when I arrived there I had hone trough an uncomfortable moment as they don't give me the pass to enter or exit my son so when I was going to pick up my son and could go inside it creates a difficult moment for me.

Friendly quiet gym

Need clear information
We joined the SEND swimming lessons and it was not clearly said in the information given that an adult should be in the pool with the child. The idea we got was just to stay there with the child. So my child was not allowed to do the lesson as the parent was not ready to be in the water with him. It was heartbreaking for a child with needs.
Please don't let this happen and be clear with information.

Clean, friendly, well equipped!
The gym is very clean, well equipped, and has a very friendly vibe. While I haven't yet interacted with the staff, I've seen them interacting with many members positively.

Perfect location
Very clean environment, friendly staffs and the locaton is easy to access. I would be happy to recommand it everyone is looking to start swimming as a part of a life style or swimming lessons for children or Adults .

The booking system is a total nuisance
The booking system is a total nuisance. It is the worst I have ever used - too complicated, with double registration, unclear user interface and some steps to take that are not obvious. It took me 2 weeks to book a class - I had to start over and over again and couldn’t finish the booking. When the payment was finally withdrawn and direct debit confirmed, I didn’t get any confirmation that the class was booked. A week later the class was cancelled due to the absence of the trainer, without any prior notice. That made my experience with Better even worse, definitely not better.

Facilities are okay but with some…
Facilities are okay but with some issues. Running machines are alway off, you can really use the swimming pool on your convenience time as they are alway privet lessons. Staff are not well prepared and also gym instructors are never available to help. I book a gym induction las week, hopping for some advice and help with a programe routine but the instructor took 10 minutes to write some stuff I can do but never explain how to do it, or how often, or how to do it properly so I don’t get injured. In my gym expierience with different brands, always had and induction and a personalised program to follow. Thing like that make me Look to switch as soon as posible.

Should a customer desire a more extensive induction, they have the option to request a Total Induction, which incurs an additional fee due to its hour-long duration.
Regarding your personalised program, we encourage you to revisit the Fitness Team at the centre for guidance on performing the exercises correctly and to receive further assistance. Your feedback regarding the availability of the Fitness Team at the gym has been duly noted. Staff and TV’s
Morden Leisure Centre is a lovely place to swim/use the gym but the staff are not friendly at all, especially the man who serves at the refreshment counter. The reception staff are never at their desk, one has to ring a bell then wait and wait.
The tv’s in the gym area are faulty in that the screen is almost black which means I cannot read the subtitles. I have raised it twice, via comment form which has been ignored and a staff member in the gym (finally made an appearance after weeks!)
Please can something be done about the tv’s - pixels are almost gone. It’s been like this since I rejoined about 2 months ago.

The swimming facilities are great
The swimming facilities are great; the centre, changing and pool areas are always clean, well organised and accessible. I appreciate the booking system that means the pool is never too crowded, I love the app, the staff are always polite, friendly and helpful and the little coffee shop is perfect post swim!

I disagree to pay the penalties if I…
I disagree to pay the penalties if I miss the lesson. I deleted the class half an hour before to start and I didn't know that I have to pay for that. When I paid the subscription it was not mentioned. I'm really disappointed. You should inform your customers before the joining the gym.

Please be advised that members are required to cancel activities at least 4 hours before the start time of the activity to not receive a penalty charge. This information is stated in our terms and conditions of membership which all members are required to read before joining. If you still have a penalty fee associated to your membership you will need to speak to the staff at the centre to see if they are happy to remove this on your behalf as a goodwill gesture. All future penalties will be required to be paid if the activity is not cancelled within the specified timeframe.

Started swimming at 8 months pregnant... everything is amazing at better. the staff is super kind and gentle, and ready to respond to any questions I have. Love the attention in Morden Leisure centre, where you can't get in the changing room with your shoes on. Of all the other better I have been, Morden Leisure centre is the best also for showering after swimming, where you get lockable cubicles, with plenty of space to hang your towel.
