I am very sorry to hear that your swimming lesson was cancelled without any notification from the centre. The centres are required to text or call customers if a swimming lesson is cancelled so please accept our sincere apologies if this was not done. I will pass on your comments for the attention of the centre so they can update all customers in the future if lessons are cancelled.

Dangerous lack of staff in the gym
£40 a month is far from being a free service, but even so the instructor who supposedly should be in the gym to guide and care for the users is almost invisible, few minutes you see then, when that much. It seems that you only have guidance if you contract a personal trainer, a very expensive deal. Anyway, it is undoubtedly a very dangerous situation to leave users on their own in an environment where you have equipment able to cause injuries if badly used.

We are very sorry to hear that a Fitness Instructor is not available on the Gym floor when you attend the centre. The Fitnbess Instructor should be on the Gym floor to ensure the customers are using the equipment correctly so they do not harm themselves and to also be on hand to assist with any help customers may require. The gym is clean, the equipment is all working and there is a positive vibe with decent music playing.

Gym induction
Went for my gym induction at Morden and receptionist took me up there. Then to be told the instructor had a class to teach in 15mins when my app should have been an hour long. Was shown the exercise machines i wanted to use in that time but don’t think i should have had to pay for £20 for what I did receive! Not instructors fault however as he kept being booked on to do both.

I really love the Morden Better Leisure BUT…
I really love the Morden Better Leisure Centre - staff are fantastic and it is a brilliant space. Light and airy.
The reason it only gets 3 stars is that there are so few swimming sessions & even worse - so few classes. They book up in minutes and it is very frustrating!
This could be a truly excellent resource but they need to sort out more classes and extra swimming sessions. I would like to come swimming without having to prebook.
