Some of the staff seem unfriendly, disinterested or avoid interaction with members, sometimes chatting amongst themselves rather than attending to members

On a day when there are 79/80 free slots in the gym upto 30minutes before going, I get delayed on the train and get marked as a "NO SHOW" then charged £3 with the excuse "I prevented others being able to book in by taking a slot"...what utter BullS.
The amount of times the gates are open and people stroll in, yet I can't make it and I get charged.
I had not booked a class, session, court...nothing it was a simple gym session, in somewhere that insanely still stipulates COVID style booking.
To say in the terms the window is 4hrs before is idiotic, if you cant make it you are unlikely to know 4hrs!!!!! before.
Well Done on losing an Any Time Membership!
REPLY: Pathetic reply. 79 FREE slots for a solo gym session and NOT A CLASS is NOT preventing anyone using or attending.

I took my child to a swimming lesson today. I was unable to use a changing rooms after swimming due to people leaving all there cloths in the cubicles instead of a locker. I used one with clothes in as I had no choice however, someone was banging on the door that led to an exchange of words when I opened the cubicle door once I had finished changing my daughter. I pointed out the sign that says "Don't leave clothes in the cubicle or they will be removed". A guy with glasses got involved who I should have punch his glasses into his face. Maybe Lisa the general manager of the centre should adhere to their policy and start removing clothes and this would sort the frustration out and any further incidents.

The cost value and experience far outweigh that of similar setups. There's a lot on offer under the one roof, all available with an affordable monthly subscription.

The water in the pools is heavily chlorinated, there were classes were people exited the pools because they couldn`t breathe and the eyes were hurting, so if you can actually investigate and ensure the proper levels of chlorine is used that would be fantastic. It`s also overly cold I noticed, I am a member and have been on and off, noticed recently that is very cold everywhere and not very clean, I could see this difference between September 2025 to December 2025, don`t remember the exact date and don`t have the time to look up.

Freezing a membership here is an absolute nightmare. I am four months postpartum and accidentally overdid it, so I needed to pause my membership for a month to recover. Instead, the app asked for a medical note which most GPs only issue for employers, not gyms. Because of this, I ended up having to cancel and was still charged for the month since I did not provide 20 days notice. Completely unreasonable.
I even emailed them because I would have preferred to keep my membership, but I received no response at all.
You would think they would allow at least one courtesy freeze, especially for situations like postpartum recovery or unexpected injuries. Now, if I want to rejoin, I have to pay the additional joining fee on top of everything else. Customer service emails go unanswered which only adds to the frustration.
It is a shame because the staff and facilities themselves are actually very good, but the membership policies and customer service are severely lacking.

Sophie the member of staff I met at the reception was very helpful and professional. Also the foundation stage teachers were patient with my child for her first lesson. They went above and beyond to engage and support my child. I am glad I chose The Queen's diamond jubilee, Rugby for the swimming lessons. Please extend my thanks to these amazing staff.

I'm new to Better (third week into my membership) but I'm really impressed so far. Great activities and services at my local gym in Rugby with expert trainers and high quality activities. The app can be difficult to access at peak times, when new activities are listed, but apart from this I'm having really great experience. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Perfect for adult membership. Junior membership poor value - short gym times that do not align to parental working hours. No junior fitness classes and unable to attend swim for fitness without paying.

I have motor neuron disease, and swimming is the best way for me to use my arms and legs. Therefore, we became members of the Queen Elizabeth Diamond Jubilee Leisure Centre, Rugby.
For comfortable swimming, I use a front-mounted snorkel. However, I was informed that snorkels are not allowed in the main pool due to safety reasons. Unfortunately, I am unable to swim without it. The manager suggested that I use the studio pool during "access sessions," which are shared by individuals with various needs. Unfortunately, these sessions do not allow for lane swimming.

We approached a lovely young lady at the desk and we asked about membership for my son who receives pip for a number of conditions and me as his full time carer. She was very patient with my son whilst he downloaded the app, she than assisted him in completing his membership and uploading his documentation. She than explained how it works, setting me up with a membership and processing both our fees and talked us through the process. My son isn't good at coping with strangers but she was so lovely, non patronising to either of us and explained everything very clearly. Not only was she polite, respectful but really kind and helpful and didnt make us feel like we were a hinderence, especially as she had to deal with several other people whilst we were there, I apologised for taking her time but she stressed she really didnt mind at all. She was lovely.
