They don't clean effectively at all in fitness pool area, just lazy!! …
They don't clean the cubicle changing rooms at all! except maybe the floor, come and see the residue all over the cubical walls of god knows what 🤮. Also today the sides of the swimming pool drains in the fitnees pool have a faint smell of urine 🤮 ,when resting you have to breath it in which makes me question the quality of the water all round 🧐 . I mean cleaning effectively is just basics instead of dosing on the job all day in a leasurely fashion let's face it there's laid back and then there's Laid back! . Diabilcal most of them talk to much anyway, too much talking not enough doing .I guess its the perks of the job 🤔LAZY!

Alex has been great at introducing me to using the gym for fitness, weight loss and improving my blood pressure. His kindness and encouragement have made me feel confident about exercising for the first time in years. Helpful staff but not all equipment suitable for Disabled users
Very helpful & friendly staff inside the gym and really appreciate the inclusive discount membership which allows me to go regularly to strengthen my upper & lower limbs after having a stroke.
It's a shame that some of the equipment is not accessible for all disabled users such as some of the exercise bikes due to the position of the pedals and the hand rotator doesn't have a straight handle and a curved handle is difficult to grip.

Alex diligently showed me how to use the machines at wavelength leisure centre. He made appointments, sent me reminders and carried out my vital signs. He continually advised me on how to manage my weight and in effect manage my blood pressure. He encouraged me to take it easy and would gradually move to weight lifting sessions at the right time. I am enjoying the gym now, the facility is clean, good music and supporting staff. It is also easy to book appointments online. I wish I have enough time to come to the gym

Sent a complaint about swimming lessons 3 weeks ago about how unorganised they had become and
I have had no response from them at all, not even an acknowledgement. Just an update to my child’s account with no explanation as to why it was left so long. Planning on leaving.

Cardio Rehab 12 week course
I completed a Cardio Rehab 12 week course at the Better Gym Wavelengths in Deptford and it was very well run. I feel great and the course was run by Alex who monitored everyone to ensure they got the best out of the course. I have joined the gym to continue the good work. I would definitely recommend it!

Cardio Rehab course
After the initial 12 weeks session where recovery from a cardio procedure I had was monitored I have continued my membership for the last two years at Better, mainly at the Wavelengths centre Deptford. The gym has sufficient equipment and is well-run but Alex with his knowledge, personal support and cheerfulness is the key to making this a valuable experience (as well as maintaining a healthy heart). It gives one confidence to be able to talk to someone trained in fitness and cardio.

From Aqua Queen to Student Swimmer with Hannah O'Brien
It all started with Angella (spelt with two ll's) my Aqua Aerobics Teacher who recommend I take swimming lessons with the Swim Doctor - Hannah O'Brien.
Hannah is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING, patient, funny, understanding and totally encouraging. It wasn't a fear of the water, more a 'what happens when my feet don't touch the ground' :-)! However that was all about to change under the tutorage of Hannah.
I was taught swimming at school briefly however now my swimming is at a whole new level, if you had said to me I would be jumping in the deep end, treading water, able to do breast stroke within months of being in her class, I would probably have been a bit sceptical and now...!
I am going onto learning other swimming strokes which I am loving, and I have encouraged others to take her class as Angella encouraged me to do so.
Thanks ever so much Angella for your constant encouragement and recommendation to the Swim Doctor as I attended your fantastic Aqua Aerobics classes. You were right the difference it makes is amazing.

I visited today with my partner and son for swimming the pool is lovely and clean and the best pool in the area considering it is heated so always makes the experience better, reception staff were friendly and helpful but the only downside side was the changing rooms floors and cubicles were dirty and in every family changing room the bins were overflowing with swimming nappies that you could not even shut them and nappies were on top of the bins and also in women’s toilets all wet tissue over floor in all toilets c

I had a great experience at Wavelegnths recently I was welcomed very well by Michael my Instructor after i had been reffered by by GP for a 12 week exercise and gym training to help with my Health. I was shown around and Inducted on how to use the weekend and felt very welcomed this gave the confidence to make sure i attend the centre as much as i can.
