The item I ordered was taken but then not in stock
The item I ordered was taken , but then afterwards I was informed that the delivery cost was £60. If I had known this at time of order I would not have proceeded. A refund was made , but what a waste of everyone's time.
In the good old days you could buy from a shop and take it home yourself.

We ordered a free standing Marflow bath filler and on examination of it we were not happy with the quality, in particular the shower handset had visible moulding lines and dimples showing through the chrome finish. We therefore returned the product at a personal cost of £18. We got an email from BHS advising the item refund would be reduced by a massive 25% as we had opened the box. This has been a very costly mistake and in future we will make our purchases from other companies who offer a full refund if items are found to be unsatisfactory when examined.

However as you were unhappy with the product we organised collection of the item from you and issued a refund on the product only which you agreed were happy with. Having looked at your order I can see that you ordered with us on 30th December and unfortunately our next delivery in from the selected supplier was Monday 10th January which is why there was a slightly longer delivery than usual. We do send out a generic email to ask if you require anything else and apologies this caused grievance. Our normal delivery timescale is 5-7 working days.

Will never order from them again.
If I had not sent an email about my consumer rights (from 'Which' if anyone else has problems with deliveries) then I would not have received a replacement or refund for damaged goods. As it was I still had to pay return delivery for item even though I emailed them a picture of smashed item. Will never order anything from this company again.

We do understand your frustration however I would just like to advise that our offer to exchange/refund the damaged product was done as a gesture of goodwill and was nothing to do with the consumer rights as we always act within these rights. We give all customers 48 hours to report any damages/shortages, unfortunately you had the product in your possession for 5 days before notifying us of the damage. I would like to point out the actual product was smashed into 2 pieces and the damage would of been obvious at point of delivery.
