We visited the Camberley branch with…
We visited the Camberley branch with the intention of purchasing a vehicle. Upon our arrival for a scheduled appointment, we were met by a notably young, discourteous, and arrogant member of staff. Despite informing them of our appointment, we were seated and subsequently waited for an hour without any communication regarding the salesperson's whereabouts, estimated arrival time, or an offer of refreshments.
When the salesperson eventually arrived, we proceeded to view the vehicle, which was satisfactory; however, it lacked a charged battery, precluding a test drive. We initially departed, but after further consideration, we determined that the subpar customer service should not deter our purchase. Consequently, we reserved the vehicle online.
The following day, we attempted to pay a deposit to secure the transaction. After five phone calls and several hours of awaiting a return call that never materialized, we initiated contact again and successfully paid the deposit. An appointment was then scheduled for the subsequent weekend.
We did not receive confirmation of the car purchase or an order form. Following numerous phone calls, we managed to arrange the collection of the vehicle. Upon our return to the dealership, we encountered the same unsatisfactory service. The salesperson demonstrated a lack of product knowledge, providing no information about the vehicle or the location of the logbook. The only detail provided was that a spare key was located at another branch, with the caveat that we would likely not receive it.
After taking possession of the vehicle, we contacted the aforementioned branch. They confirmed possession of the spare key, logbook, and service records for the car, and committed to dispatching them promptly. In summary, the service received was exceptionally poor, characterised by a lack of product knowledge and attempts to sell an overpriced warranty. We would unequivocally not consider making another purchase from this establishment.

Worst sales people ever, Avoid
Most frustrating shopping experience ever. The place is nice, the cars are varied and there are lots to look at, the staff are absolutely awful. The customer service is non existent with the exception of the ladies at reception who check you in and offer drinks. The sales staff are the most useless I have ever met in my life. 2 hour wait to test drive a car we paid to have brought in from another branch, even though we had an appointment booked at 4pm, there were 4 other people also booked for 4pm but we were told they were running behind when we turned up. (Two people walked out without test driving).
Went back the following day to pay and pick up the car, after being seated and greeted it then took 2 and a half hours for them to come and take payment, I queried the wait and was told that they were producing an invoice, I queried why that would take so long to be told that it's a big purchase. I don't know what that means and also, I never got an invoice!
I pleaded with them to bring me a card machine or give me bank details but was constantly told that it takes time. I have never had to work so hard to give someone money. At one point we took a picture of 15 sales staff standing chatting to each other. Its a wonder they make any money at all.
My honest opinion is if you don't value your time at all, they are worth a try, if you do value your time shop elsewhere.

Not impressed
Not impressed. The car was missing a parcel shelf (not pictured or disclosed in the advert), it did not have both charging cables, and smelt of dog. The test drive was too short, the car lit up with warning messages and it was explained away as ‘not a problem’. Total waste of time due to the advert not disclosing an accurate description of the state of the vehicle.

I recently purchased a new car from the Camberley branch. I had the pleasure of being looked after by Adrian. As a woman buying a car on my own for the very first time, I was naturally a little apprehensive, but Adrian made the entire experience enjoyable, comfortable, and completely stress-free.
From the moment I arrived, he took the time to explain everything clearly and thoroughly, answering all of my questions with patience and professionalism. At no point did I feel under any pressure, even when discussing additional services and options for the car. Instead, Adrian offered honest advice and guidance, helping me make informed decisions that were right for me.
His knowledge, friendly approach, and genuine willingness to help made a real difference. I felt respected, valued, and confident throughout the whole process.
I am absolutely delighted with my new car and couldn’t be happier with the service I received from the staff. Adrian is a credit to the dealership, and I cannot recommend him highly enough. Thank you so much for making my first solo car-buying experience such a positive one.

Aneesah was great and very helpful for the whole process, just went in, find the car, she sorted out everything for us and we just had to sign paperwork, pay and drive away. Very smooth process, thank you so much.

If I could rate this zero I would
If I could rate this zero I would. And I would really think twice before ever stepping foot in big motoring world and buying from them!
11 days after purchasing from big motoring world I started noticing issues with the car, this was in March- now in May I took it to the garage they booked me into which had stated the issues would of been there before I purchased the car and also how big motoring world knew of this as they was trying to cover things up with thick grease in certain areas of car to hide certain faults. Terrible.
Consumer rights act which I am well within and have been advised to take legal action as they actually won’t have a leg to stand on!
Good luck to anyone that buys a car from this company, there a con. They need to be seriously looked into and from the advice I have been given there are lots of people taking steps of action! So fingers crossed everyone who is!

After purchasing the car i found out…
After purchasing the car i found out the passenger door handle lights don't work. I reported it the next day only for them to take 3 weeks to book me in for a diagnostics to a garage that doesn't even work for them and hasn't for the last 6 months so, i didn't actually have an appointment. They keep fobbing me off every time i speak to them saying i need to get diagnostics done and they would pay £100 inc VAT but i cant take it to any garage as they charge more than that. There was also a dent on the door i didn't notice as when i saw the car it was sandwiched in between others and when i did get it out and take it back into the show room to have a look i was rushed due to a fire alarm. I brought this up with them and they are refusing to help with that and also not getting any resolution on the handles. I've also noticed the passenger door speaker has blown and a horrible squeaking noise from the drivers side wheel. Clearly no checks done. the car was not cleaned properly on collection either. I've rejected the car which I'm within my rights to do so and I'm still waiting to get it sorted but no one will speak to me after multiple phone calls and emails but I've kept the emails and now opened a case with the motor ombudsman who are now going to look into my case. AVIOD this company at all cost as the aftercare and customer service is awful.

It was going quite nicely until all the upsells started (over-priced warranties, paint, wheels) you name it. They low-balled me on part-exchanging my beloved Passat. And don’t negotiate on the price, even when there are clear defects with their vehicles.
Unfortunately the car I was looking at had awful scratches as a result of going through a cheap car wash, with swirls and deeper scratches on every panel. When I pointed out that it would cost a significant amount to have a full valet/polish that’s when the real fun started.
They wheeled out the “manager” to negotiate with me.
I honestly feel like having a cold shower. He was incredibly patronising. Leaning on emotions implying I was basically an idiot not to buy the £3,600 warranty upsell on a £20k car.
So they’ll upsell you ridiculously overpriced warranties but don’t negotiate on the price of the car and then imply you’re an idiot for not buying it (we all know that’s how they earn their commissions).
Frankly if this is how they treat people during the sales process, I can’t imagine what the aftercare is like if something goes wrong.
I’d rather eat my very hard earned money than hand it over to a company I’ve this.
I should add, while I was waiting, there’s were several other sales assistants lolling around in the empty showroom comparing how many “units” each of them had sold, laughing and joking about what they’d spend their bonuses on. With one of them trying to persuade his female colleague to go on a date with him. Amongst other totally inappropriate topics with a customer in earshot.
Avoid avoid avoid.
