Mayla and Anna Maria was absolutely incredible, Mayla faced some challenges due to my situation and overcome them with so much ease and professionalism, kept me up to date with every step of my purchase, I have never received such first class customer service, absolute star, the whole experience of everyone I interacted with at Big Motoring world was just amazing, such good energy, highly recommend, this is the place to go, if you are looking for a car and want to be in safe hands, they offer a lovely strawberry milkshake too!
Thank you Mayla for everything, you are a diamond, going above and beyond for me, so very happy and grateful for your hard work.

This review isn’t aimed at the staff, but more at the car that was sold to me. The company advertises discounts, but it feels like they rely on the small print to avoid actually honouring them.
This was the second car I bought from them. The first one has been absolutely fine so far.
Unfortunately, after driving the second car for around 50 miles, it broke down on the motorway. Even though it came with a three-month warranty, things became a lot more stressful once the warranty company got involved.
I ended up waiting over 30 hours for the car to be recovered from the motorway services and taken to an approved RAC garage. After that, it took several more days before the garage could even look at the issue, because the repairs had to be handled by an authorised RAC technician. I understand that cars can develop faults unexpectedly, but the after-sales support once the payment had gone through was really disappointing.
Overall, it was a very frustrating experience, especially after spending a lot of money on a car that failed almost straight away. As a result, I’ve been left without reliable transport for work and dealing with a lot of unnecessary stress and inconvenience.
I’d also recommend that anyone buying a car makes sure it’s properly warmed up and driven until it reaches full operating temperature before purchasing, even if there’s only a small amount of fuel in it. I understand that many dealers don’t keep much fuel in their cars, but it’s still important to make sure the vehicle has been properly checked and is running as it should once warmed up. Top up the fuel yourself if needed so you can properly test the car before committing to the purchase.

We were served by Thali today, we were beyond satisfied with his service- he was approachable, friendly and took his time answering all of our questions and putting our mind at ease. If you’re considering purchasing a car from here, I would highly recommend seeking Thali’s advice. We’ve never experienced such accommodating service and are extremely grateful for his help. Thank you Thali!

Car buying doesn’t have to be like this. Long story short, I went to three branches and can confirm the sales people have awful product knowledge because their training appears to be simply to keep asking if you want the car and pushing finance. BUT … most importantly their company policy is to disallow any portion of payment by credit card so that you don’t have access to the associated customer rights. I walked away and found a better deal elsewhere. Suggest you do to

Went in to view a car and came back to ask for a test drive. Waited for a salesperson for 45 minutes, kept being told someone would be around 10 minutes but this never changed so I gave up and left.

I will be taking legal action against this company for miselling a vehcile to me! They sold me a car with an issue they told me on the day I test drove when the engine management light came on that they had it fixed the other week and it was coming up wrongly. I brought the car when they reassured me it had been fixed and then 2 days later when I picked up the car it came up again and has been in the garage for a week now. My warranty they missold me through them won't cover as it's the garages liability and now I am awaiting them to pay the garage to repair the car. I will be taking it straight back to the garage for a full refund on the car and warranty. I will also be taking further for compensation for the fact I have not had a car now for almost 2 weeks and put a full tank of petrol in the car and paid for insurance etc.

I paid £129 to move a car from the Norwich branch to the Wimbledon Branch. Upon going to inspect the car the engine was making a really concerning noise which was clear that there was an issue with the timing chain. Upon discussing the problem with the sales rep he said they weren't going to do anything to work with me and said they would simply sell the car to someone else if I wasn't interested. They weren't prepared to get the car re-inspected by a mechanic or consider investigating further, only wanted to shift the car. Took a video of the issue, showed my mechanic and said the car isn't retail ready. Shock horror the car is still available.... Have enquired by various methods to get a refund on this payment but haven't received anything from the company.

Firstly, the reception in Wimbledon has no manner. He began serving a customer that arrive after us, and then once I stepped in to say I was next, his response was "it doesn't matter". He needs more training, or a new job.
Secondly, I bought a DS3 Crossback 2019, which looked brilliant on paper, with their 200 point inspection, full service history, and MOT passed every year with no issues or advisories. However, I noticed a noise in the gearbox when shifting and a lot of vibration on the selector during driving. I took it to one of their RAC approved garages, and the lady mentioned there was a gearbox leak that had been present for a while (I'd had the car ten days at this point). They also said, there may be swarf (debris, metal shavings etc) in the oil and a gearbox replacement could be necessary. This could cost thousands. Warranty refused to pay for the initial diagnostic, and also refused to pay for the additional in depth gearbox inspection.
I've now called to reject the vehicle and receive a refund as they've sold me a faulty car, however, the process is horrible. You call or email, they put a note on your file and you wait until "their rejections team" decide to give you a call to arrange the return of the faulty vehicle. Now how long must I wait with this car before I get my money back??
As big a company as Big Motoring World is, I'd of thought their technicians/engineers would've been able to find a gearbox leak before sale. The independent garaged agreed this isn't a fault they should've been able to overlook.
TL;DR - Warranty didn't come through at all, they sold a faulty car and refund process is a waiting game.
Save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere
One thing I will say, the salesmen and the gentleman who work in the collections department were very helpful during the day. Had the car not been faulty, I'd have been happy with the experience overall (with the exception of the reception).

DO NOT purchase from Big Motoring World.
I’m not a regular reviewer - I have the innately British flaw of hating conflict and saying ‘that’s great!’ even when it is distinctly not.
However, in this case it is more upset that leads me to hope that people see this and aren’t put in the same position that we now are. We purchased a family vehicle from Big Motoring World (Wimbledon) last summer, when we found out that I was pregnant. A relative had died and we were very kindly left just enough to buy a second hand car. The sales associate was kind and helpful, but encouraged us to get a warranty with our purchase which we added on with our own money, thinking that this was very sensible parent behaviour. Stupidly, we thought we’d be covered and safe when baby arrived and never be without a car - we have no family nearby, so the car gets me and baby to my mum when needed and is quite a lifeline.
Firstly, the clutch went when I was on the dual carriageway - I was staying with my mum at the time and thankfully, unusually, my daughter wasn’t in the car.
Secondly, when we went to claim on our warranty that we had paid for fully for 2 years, we were told we didn’t have a warranty. They had taken the money but never given us our cover. We managed to provide proof from our end that we did buy it so they begrudgingly activated it.
Thirdly, despite only driving 2000 miles in the time we have had the car (10 months) and the garage discovering that the clutch had been poorly replaced once before and this led to the fault, the warranty company have denied our claim. We are left baffled as to what could possibly be covered in the warranty at all if not a faulty part fitted prior to our ownership?
We are now scraping together what little we have while I’m on maternity pay to get the car back out of our own pocket, as we have no way of getting to family and being based in London we live in a postage stamp sized flat so have no support without travelling a few hours to family.
We sincerely wish we had never ever bought it and instead sought a more reputable, stable, transparent company for what was a huge purchase for us in our current circumstances. We will be fine, thankfully, but I know there are people who would not be able to manage in this situation, so if you’re able to look elsewhere and put your money somewhere better then definitely do!
