Follow up to my previous post: “still no bike”
Follow up to my previous situation. While I never did receive my new bike, Griffin at the Bike Exchange worked to make things right. Recognizing that most of the issue was the poor communication on the shipper’s (FedEx) part, he nonetheless offered several possible solutions including offering full refund of the purchase. While I missed out on key events this summer on my new bike, the apology was sincere and the solution was fair.

On Monday, July 28th, FedEx attempted to deliver your bike but you were not home to sign for your package. It appears they have attempted to deliver your bike every day this week and have not been able to reach you for a signature. Due to the high-value nature of our products, we require signatures on deliveries to avoid theft.

The process worked pretty well. I think BE should provide more information on what to expect on the front end for folks buying through them via an external vendor for the first time. Other than that though, the bike arrived pretty quickly and was in perfect condition, packed well, and has been a blast to ride so far. No complaints here.
