You would not expect such an unprofessional behaviour from the company that deals with your money. But apparently, for bitwage it's normal to change their own decisions at the snap of a finger, charge for the services that were never provided and patronize a witch-hunt against Russian nationals.

I'm a russian national with a permanent European residence and have been living in Europe for the last 7 years. I've decided to give this company a try.
I've submitted all documents, paid for the premium subscription and my application was approved. The whole process took only a couple of hours and I was happy, but not for long.
In a couple of days, they RETROACTIVELY denied my application without even emailing me and didn't refund for the service I've never received.

As per them, the government and banks put "pressure" on them.

Please, bitwage, show me this law I am eager to read this.

For all EU/US companies, your nationality doesn't matter. What matters is where you currently reside.

After been ghosted for a week, (looks like they only have one person in support)
I've requested to escalate my request to the supervisor or a senior leadership team but my request was also ignored.
It it a shame seeing US and European companies patronize racism and foment a witch-hunt against Russian nationals.
It's already a shame being Russian and I did everything in my power to move myself out of that country 7 years before the war started. Punishing ALL Russian nationals for the actions of ONE man is not okay.

Great service.
It took me a while to get my payment delivered (due to miscommunication with MY employer, not bitwage's fault) and I got excellent support by Ramiro Raposo in their slack channel.
I finally got my payment as expected.
The only thing to improve for me would be the spread - fee scheme.
My wage is in Euros, I got payed by bitwage in cUSD (CELO), and the exchange rate was a bit away from optimal (2,5% spread + 2% fee = 4,5%).
I would like to see cEUR implemented as a distribution option since that would diminish the spread loss.

It works great for me and some coworkers, and it really simplifies our payments.
