I was very grateful to Zak especially and Trina at the Newbury store when I was in urgent need of hiking shoes. Their knowledge of the products was impressive and needed as I was clueless. Thankfully they were able to help me with everything I needed. ✨

Came in looking for boots for our Norway trip, Zak in Newbury was really helpful, explaining the type of thing we'd need, and whilst my partner didn't have time to find the ones he wanted, I got a pair and Zak definitely pointed us in the right direction

I went in today to look for hiking boots, it was very busy, but I was assisted by Michael, who calmly listened to my requirements and made valid suggestions. I left with some great boots, which are comfortable. He also asked if I was part of the National trust as that would receive a discount.

Thank you to Ann, who listened to what kind of walking trainer I was looking for and brought out a selection in my size for me to try. I found the right ones.
And to Michael for serving me at the till and generously putting Ann’s name on my receipt as she’d had to leave. Great service!

A nice gentleman by the name of Michael was very talkative and very well informed about the walking boots and very welcoming. He also mentioned a discount and even a veterans discount. He served us and told us to have a good day, grateful Michael served us!

I had the misfortune of exchanging a faulty garment at newbury store this morning. The garment was 3 months old and the stitching had come away and it was clear it was a manufacturing fault. The manager started to examine it forensically and when i asked her why she was making a drama out of a simple exchange she proceeded to berate me in a loud voice - rather than get into an argument i ignored her verbal onslaught. She has zero customer service skills and rather than treating my exchange as a scam her starting point should be that it is genuine - bloody fuming at her attitude

I had a brilliant experience shopping for hiking boots today. Hiking is completely new to me, so I had no idea what I was looking for – until I met Will at the Newbury branch. He was fantastic – a real credit to the company and clearly knows his stuff. He guided me through everything without any pressure, and I genuinely felt in control of the whole process. I left the shop with a big smile on my face and a great pair of boots. Highly recommend popping in and speaking to the team – it’s worth it for the personal touch and the passion they bring to what they do.

Great advice from sales assistant Michael. I purchased walking shoes for a holiday in Scotland. The shoes were perfect!
