I went to get some hiking boots for my trip to Scotland and the customer service was excellent. In particular, Finn was very helpful and friendly.

Ann was very helpful in the store. Very knowledgeable and pleasant. Lovely to deal with her.

We visited the Blacks store today to buy camping gear for my daughter's trip, and we had a fantastic customer service experience from Alex and Trina.

Both were incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to answer all our questions patiently. Trina was especially lovely with our youngest daughter, who was quite bored during the shopping trip, and she kept her engaged, which made things much easier for us.

Visited Blacks as I was looking for a new thermal coat, for days where it’s cold but there is no chance of rain. I spoke to Jack F and he quickly took me to the correct section of the shop and went through a few different options. I left with a new Peter Storm jacket which has been perfect so far! Thanks to Jack F & the team!

I went to look for some walking boots. I asked Michael for advice and he was very helpful. He knew his stuff and was not pushy in any way. I got exactly what I wanted and feel he guided rather than pushed me in any way.

We popped in to check walking trousers, and purchased a few travel-related items as well. We were concerned to see how many anti-theft measures were in place - a sign of the times, alas. However, stock was plentiful, the shop was clean and tidy, and Michael (our salesman) was courteous, helpful and a pleasure to be served by.

Bought a pair of walking boots but when I got home and fitted my custom insoles they were too tight. Took them back the next day under their 28 day exchange guarantee and exchanged them for 1 size bigger. The exchange process was sooo easy and utterly painless.

Trina was really friendly and helpful with managing a return and finding the right walking boots for me. She clearly knows her stuff and explained how to take care of them properly. And the store’s dog friendly policy is much appreciated as it makes shopping so much easier when you have a dog that can’t be left at home alone.

Fantastic service today from Trina ! Really engaging and good fun! She assistant my 4 year old son with some clothes. When we left the shop and got into the car my boy turned to me and said, “that lady in the shop was really cool!” She defiantly made a good impression ! A pay rise must be due!

Jack was very helpful with advice on which fleece to buy and was overall lovely to chat to. Will come again for all outdoor needs
