I ordered a book from this company, which was advertised as having ten copies in stock.
It was then listed on my account as "shipped".
I contacted them for a tracking number and discovered that not only had the book NOT been shipped, but they didn't actually have any copies in stock and it was "on order".
I am now involved in the lengthy and frustrating business of trying to get a refund from this disreputable and dishonest company.
They have repeatedly claimed to have processed a refund, but my Abebooks account shows no evidence of this and they refuse to provide proof of any kind, just a vague claim that they have initiated a refund.
This is not a real company, it is a criminal enterprise.
Please do not order from these people, they are thoroughly untrustworthy and will do all they can to avoid refunding you once they have scammed you.
Book Depository is an absolute nightmare, arguably the worst book seller I have ever encountered.
Update:
I contacted the publishers and the release date of the book has been delayed until the end of March. Despite this Book Depository still have it advertised on AbeBooks and are still claiming not only to have ten copies of it, but forecasting that any copies ordered will arrive four days before the publishers estimate it will be released.
This, I think, firmly cements their reputation as the worst book seller in the UK. Quite an achievement given how uniformly awful the UK’s corporate book sellers seem to be.
If Book Depository has one positive point it is that they have convinced me that I should only buy books from small independent booksellers in future. One misses out on the discounts available from bulk sellers, but the benefits are more than worth the notional surcharge one incurs.
I would rather pay the extra money for the arguably more human experiencing of buying a book from a bookshop than continue to support faceless corporate bookmongers like Book Depository, they and their ilk have lost my custom for good.

It has been four months since I orders some books. I have exchanged dozen of emails and still I am missing one book, untraceable, clearly sent by non priority mail and all their customer service has to say is just look for it. They gave me a tracking number that leads nowhere and keep mocking me for months now with emails that only 10year olds are possible to send. Zero intelligence zero competence zero effort zero service. What a dreadful mistake. If you can’t do it, just don’t.

The delivery was prompt . The book was easily available.

I have been buying books from Book Depository for several years. This latest delivery continues the pattern of well-priced books, delivered in good condition and within the date range predicted. I am very happy with my dealings with Book Depository.

As a customer of many years, I have come to rely on Book Depository for nearly all book purchases, the pricing being fair and delivery within quoted parameters. In this case my purchase was Nigel Biggar, 'Colonialism', a serious analysis of a controversial topic.
At first I had to learn the distinction between British and American publishers for books that have the spelling most often used in Canada (mainly British spelling), but once understood, that is no longer an issue.

Though delivery took 3weeks, my book came perfect. I've searched everywhere for this book in SG. Storyline is something I can relate to. The website has a wide selection. Will be using it again for sure.

I still do not have have books I ordered. They were sent to two different pick-up points, both far from where I live. I requested the delivery company to put them together and send them to the closer location and have been told I would receive an SMS on their delivery. I am still waiting.

Bought the large print Oxford dictionary for my father in law. He loves it!!! The print is large enough for him (He's 83 years old) and the quality is very good
