Always amazed by the fast shipping and the fact that it's FREE! So many to choose from, and the item cost is also very affordable, when compared with local stores for example. Always delivered in excellent condition! Already my number 1 place to order books from!

Good price, delivery as promised. The main benefit is the shipping. Getting books to New Zealand can be expensive with the freight cost often exceeding the purchase price. Not so with Book Depository.

I have ordered a reasonable ammount of books and they always come within the expected time. There is a problem though: there is no tracking for most countries and the company should have protocols with local mails in case they don't have tracking themselves, hence the 4 star-review.

We must question everything we had been educated to believe. We just need open minds and the raw data.

After 9 months of waiting for a book, and asking to be refunded 3 times, they finally said they would refund and that it would be back in my account in 1-3 days. That was 3 weeks ago and no refund ever arrived.
Customer service were very dismissive and are obviously just there to collect a pay check. They don't care about customers at all.

Have ordered many many books from Book Depository over the years, and always found the service first rate, and quick to fix an issue.

Incidentally, I have noticed that overall the quality of soft cover books (which only make up maybe 30% of my purchases, and is not the fault of BD nor is specific to them) has decreased. Bit of a Shame, as in my last purchase of Rushdie's latest...

The price is cheap. :)

You have not sent me the book I ordered ( Hamlets Mill) .
I have tried to email you and tell the problem I have and return email said I am using the wrong email. The book I received is Italian
And all I requested was a straight swap for the correct one.

The book was ordered on 15 January but did not arrive until today, 1 March. The answer of Book Depository: Orders are shipped by Royal Mail priority airmail and will be delivered by your local mail network. We do not provide any code or confirmation that the book was sent.

I ordered several books in the last year. My last order around Christmas time saw many books not delivered, when I contacted Book Depository they sent me replacement books. Two where held by Danish customs, they asked me to pay taxes on them. I refused and assumed the books would just be returned to BD, but somehow they appeared at my post office ready for me to pick them up. Mystery! I will continue to order from BD because they have good prices and even if delivery is slow they will actively fix any problems that arise in the order.

Customer service is pathetic. I am quite sure I was not emailing a real person. The answers had no human touch and just seemed pretty standard cut and paste. They take no responsibility for books that don't arrive and I was actually asked to look around the neighborhood in case the delivery partner had dropped it somewhere else. I have used BD for a long time but I think it is time to switch.

Cheap buy, fast delivery, no shipping costs, even got a coupon. Great experience, I love Book Depository! Especially for those books that don’t seem to exist here in Switzerland. :)

I have never received the book (withheld by the Danish custom authorities due to your failure to pre-pay Danish 25% VAT as per your sales terms), it’s your breach of contract which caused this total misery. I have comments on Trustpilot as well which I will continue to update with respect to your actions.

I already notified you I will continue with proceedings unless you refund my payment latest 23 February 2023, you failed to do so.

I obviously refused to pay your NON paid advance VAT to the Danish Customs, it was prepaid to your crappy lousy company in advance based on your invoice, I will continue my story on a daily basis on Trustpilot until I get a full refund.

Please reply to my clear question about your UK company registry details/address for legal proceedings. Is this correct copy cc Trustpilot.

Fantastic selection of books at affordable prices. From ordering to delivering I was kept informed all the way. Their customer service is also extremely helpful and easy to contact.

I live in Norway and have 2 book-loving grandchildren in Canada. They tell me what books they want , I order them at Book Depository and they send them to Canada - free of charge. The selection of books is excellent and so are the prices. Its a fantastic way to give my grandchildren great reading experiences.

Fast effecient delivery.

Books arrived safely. Well packaged and properly addressed. A bit slow, but still an excellent service.
