The customer service is good
The customer service is good, the games it's self hit and miss. The problem is getting hold of the games that you would like in the first place, my list of games are all mainly in the red long wait. They could do with investing in more games to be able to supply. I will be cancelling my subscription as it does work out expensive each month when you don't get the games you are truly after.

Looking at your Account its great to see that of the 8 games you rented from your Top Choice spot, you only found yourself waiting for one of them to be despatched, with this only being a wait time of 3 days.
With games that are in demand, we will always look to get further stock into meet this, we're sorry to hear that the games you were looking to rent had a long wait time.

Awful Service.
What can I say? I signed up to Boomerang as a new customer and was let down massively. After paying £11.99, it took over a week for one game to be sent out from my list, 28th May the game was supposedly "dispatched" the game never showed up and went "missing". customer support then blamed Royal Mail for this, when really they probably never actually sent the game out as the email stated. They sent out a "test game" after I contacted them, never actually showed up, had to chase them up again in regards to this and the imaginary "lost game form" they'd sent out in the post in regards to the missing game. After contacting them again, they emailed the lost game form, and magically Royal Mail delivered the test game. They responded straight away to my email saying they'd have my game sent out ASAP once they'd receive the test game / lost form back via email. 18th June, I received an email saying the test post game had been received. 23rd June, was still waiting for my game to be dispatched after nearly a MONTH, of waiting for an actual game and being told by customer service they'd make it a priority.
I was giving multiple false promises in regards to an extra game rental, payment delay and "prioritising getting a game to me", all of this never happened and the amount of times I've had to contact them in regards to this is appalling for a paid service where I received nothing at all.
Stay clear as you'll only be let down by massive wait times on game rentals, "missing games", customer support giving false promises to make good of a service I never actually received anything from, in what ended up being nearly a month of no game showing up at all.
After massive amounts of patience, giving them plenty of time and goodwill to actually receive something I've paid for, I called it a day and just cancelled, waste of money and time. Save yourself the time of waiting on them and most importantly your hard earned money.
I have never felt the need to leave a review for a company, but with how this turned out, I felt the need of this having to be made known after what I experienced.

We're sorry to hear that you had a bad experience with a delay in having your first game despatched out to you, we will always get your next game out to you as soon as possible.
Looking at your Account I can see that you joined us on the 25th May which was a Sunday, with the following day a Bank Holiday and then your first game despatched out on the Wednesday!
It does appear that there was an issues with Royal Mail delivery to your address.
All of our games are always despatched out on the date that they are allocated with no exceptions.
This is the same for any Test Games and Lost Game Forms, with them despatched out either that day, or the next working day depending on the time of day.
In the event that a game is lost, this is indicative that there may be a delay in the Royal Mail Service, which is why a Test Game may be requested along with a Lost Game Form to account for the missing game.
Royal Mail quote us 1-3 days for delivery but delays do occasionally occur, we're sorry that you experienced one.
I have requested information from you, please get back in touch so we can resolve this for you. We look forward to receiving your response.

They take your money but games you chose are not available for months. Just buy ps plus. I didn't receive any game in almost 2 months. Cancelled off course

When this game arrived back with us shortly before a Bank Holiday, your next rental was then despatched only three days later.
When this second rental arrived back with us, your next monthly subscription was due on the same day, when this payment was not made it prevented us from being able to send out any further games to you until the payment was made.
Following the payment being made at the end of last week, your Account was set back Live and your next game would have been despatched out to you shortly, it appears that you cancelled on the same day that this happend however.

Hi, I have been using boomerangrentals for about 5 months and I find that for £17.99 a month I'm getting about 2 games if I'm lucky! it's bad very bad! I message them every few weeks waiting for games on my list to come through the post but nothing comes! when i message them always the same excuse.. If anyone is thinking about this company don't you will be wasting your money...

I been with boomerangrentals since day one it opened the service was excellent no more i got 14 games on my list every time I have to speak to them an ask when am I getting my games on my list I have two discs at a time I get my game are old it harder to send out yes because I have to wait a long time for you to send my games out because new customers come first I can't remember the last time I got a new release this company as gone down hill big time i shouldn't be asking everytime when am I get my games on the list same excuse different day every time i speak to them it getting that bad I will stop using this company

Awful never got any games in stock also takes make out they have sent you games out but it takes 2 weeks to arrive and blames Royal Mail

Over the Christmas Period, we do experience delays in delivery due to the increased post volume that comes with the time of year. We usually find that any delayed games falling out of the 1-3 days quoted by Royal Mail for First Class delivery do arrive within 10 days which is why we request this wait.
If you are ever waiting longer than the displayed approximate wait time, please do not hesitate to get in touch and we will see what we can do to help. I am sorry to hear about the issues that you have experienced with our Customer Support team and this has been raised for you.
We do have 100s of Switch Games available to despatch daily and would gladly provide you with a list of them.
Following our request for information from you, it was great to hear that your games had arrived with you and the other issues were resolved! We hope that you enjoy them!
Great value for money but not perfect for Switch.
Great value for money and super quick turn around of in stock games. Only reason I'm not giving 5 stars at this time is it appears that their stock of switch games is quite limited, with my experience being that the vast majority of titles show a 'long wait'.

I definitely recommend!
I have just finished my free trial and I can honestly say that their service is second to none. Whilst quite a few of the games on my list show as a Long Wait, there are tons of games that are available immediately that I have enjoyed over the last 3 weeks. They have responded to any queries I had really quickly.
The only thing I will say is that I feel the website is due for an overhaul, the functionality is a little lacking and it feels a little dated and archaic. However this doesn't take away from the overall experience.
In summary, if you're on the fence about trying this service, definitely do the free trial, you'll be convinced like me

Great for students and gamers on a budget !
As a uni student I have to budget and when big games on the PS5 that cost £70+ on release it’s hard to justify that price tag especially if I know I’m only going to play the game once.
Boomerang is great for me because I can rent new games on release, play them for as long as I like and return them when I like all for £11.99 a month which to me is a great deal it’s much better than me spending £70 and then selling it onwards which just makes me lose out on even more money. Another great perk of renting out is if I don’t like the game I can just send it back whereas I wouldn’t be able to do that if I bought the game from a regular retailer.
If there’s periods where games aren’t coming out I can just cancel my boomerang subscription and start it back up again whenever I want. The whole process is super simple and it’s an easy recommendation to any gamer on a budget.
I must also mention that the customer service is amazing, they get back to you quickly and with every issue I’ve ever had they’ve always been so helpful.
