Been with boomerang for probably 10 years or so. Joined them after love film stopped doing game rentals. Not quite as good as love film was, but never really had a problem with them. Sometimes have to wait a while for a game but have always got it eventually. Saved me 1000s in buying games. Some I sent back straight away because there were s%!t some Iv kept for months. The one thing I don’t understand is why haven’t they done an app to make it easier and faster 🤷♂️

Just not the same anymore
Having previously left a 5 star review 4 years ago my experience over the past 6 month feels like the boomerang experience is coming to an end.
I have reached out to them and asked for certain information regards to stock which they couldn’t answer . This left me feeling disappointed as the info I requested they were unable to share. The games are drying up over 100 games on long wait most have been on long wait for the past 2 years hence my enquiry.
I’ll claim my free month which I’ll be due later this month but I’m afraid you’ve lost a customer after that . Boomerang is no longer value for money for me which is a shame

Quality service over the years.
I’ve been subscribed for years and never had a single issue. Sure there might be a wait on brand new titles if you’re not lucky and first in line, but even then it’s not that long and you earn points on waiting. I’ve used these to buy titles too. Also their responsiveness on X is amazing.

We post all of our games our using First Class Delivery and expect our games to arrive within 1-3 days, however although it is very rare, any delayed games will normally arrive with 10 days.
By obtaining a Proof of Postage receipt, your giving yourself peace of mind that in the unlikely event there are any delays to the delivery, we can remove the game from the account with no additional costs. Once we remove a game from the account, we can get another despatched to you straight away.
We will then also notify you when a delayed game does arrive back with us.
We will always be on hand to help if issues such as this do arise, and less than 1% of our games go missing each year, so you shouldn't experience these issues moving forward.

A Year on and still fantastic service
Been with bommerang for a year now and i think their awesome.
The value you get from renting is great, only need to rent few games a year to save money compaired to buying them yourself.
No fees, no time limits, free returns. Enjoy the game and pop in it post box, hassle free. Ive uses live chat a number of times and are always helpful, imformative. Joey does a great customer service.
Wouldnt be fair without a negative feedback tho very minor.
Brand new releases/popular titles can be hard to get as for the long waits (but theres always other titles that be dispatched quickly)
Website could do with updated, be neice if there was a app. Buts its useable. The coming soon games could be updated more often.
Also to note you can bulk buy subscribtion to save even more and theres also a points to earn if dispatching takes a while that can be spent on bonus games/ free month or money off buying a game.

I’ve had 1 game in 2.5 months
3rd review I’ve written for these guys, like all the good reviews written on here the 5 star reviews are all from new customers or paid reviews I’ve been a customer for years and I was looking through their extremely dated website and you can see your rental history well with the chaotic Xmas period I’ve not noticed but I’ve actually had 1 game since November 1. How on earth is that ok with them to a loyal customer I pay 16.99 per month and I’ve had 1 game since November 2023 it’s now coming up to February. The company email comms are great and they know what to say “so sorry we will arrange your top 3 games to a higher priority” and all that nonsense I will keep writing reviews to try save people the money you will not get your moneys worth in the end I promise you they say you save thousands that’s only because they put all rrp’s at £70 lol

Just found out that if you claim a month on points and nothing gets sent you don’t get the points back . So you get a month when your games you want don’t get sent , claim the month and get the same thing happen then there goes your so called points guarantee. With so many games taking ages this is bad.

I have been with Boomerang Rentals for…
I have been with Boomerang Rentals for many years now, and am still amazed at the price I pay for a year's subscription letting me play all of the latest games without the need to buy - have saved thousands!
Problems with postage (which is not their fault) has been resolved whenever I've reported, and appropriate credit has been added to my account which has allowed me to take out bonus games in addition to the current ones on rent.
Have recommended this service to many friends and family over the years, and I really hope they continue as I'd be lost without them!

Faulty game received, emails being ignored
I bought an Xbox game from boomerang but it wouldn’t install. Asked to return it and was twice told that they’d send me a return slip but I haven’t received it. They’ve now ignored my last message too. Won’t be buying from them again

Recently signed up can't login to my account at all tried to reset and been waiting over a day for a reset email this shouldn't really be that hard considering contacting my bank to block future transactions as I can't access my account
