I found there was no sales pitch to…

I found there was no sales pitch to sell me hearing aids, I was advised of the prices and different advantages of each aid . The tester then left the room while my partner and I could discuss which hearing aid would suit my needs and budget .

I will move to Spec savers or back to NHS.

I have moved from the NHS, for free, to £3000 hearing aids from Boots. My understanding is that they are the latest hearing aids and smaller and therefore more discreet.
Once one broke it’s been a nightmare. They send it off. You wait 10 days plus with no substitute (think driving without prescription glasses) your professsional and private life is impacted. The hearing aid is eventually back having been ‘repaired’ no history of the problem’ or the remedy and it comes back worse. You take it back. You wait. They lose it. They find it. They ‘tweak’ it. Now 15 days later it’s worse and no idea how they propose to remedy this. May cancel my payments for these hearing aids. Maybe then someone will sit up and listen? Am told spec savers better. Chose with care. Boots don’t.

I have a pair of Phonak hearing aids from Boots one of them has been faulty since I got it, randomly turning itself off. The follow up has been very good and as we can not resolve this problem it is being replaced. I am very happy with the service I have received.
