I finally took the plunge and went on Isotretinoin via Botonics after a decade of being so distressed and frustrated with my skin. I had very mild acne when I first started but it never fully went away despite years of trying different products, diets, supplements, etc. So when I got engaged and with my wedding coming up next year I started looking for more serious, long term solutions and credible doctors to help me. Overall the only regret is not doing it sooner before my acne could create scars. But now that I’m finished I’m so relieved and glad I trusted my gut and the process. It’s made such a huge difference to my confidence and overall health to not be constantly stressed about my skin.

I have a much more “normal” skin type now and feel like I can go about my life without ever thinking about my skin which before Isotretinoin felt impossible.

Having been on roaccutane before via the NHS for adult acne, I thought I knew what I was in for, but that couldn’t be further from the truth, this process was so much better.

7 years on from my first treatment, my acne was back and worse than ever. After multiple attempts via NHS and months later, I was still no where near the getting the treatment I desperately needed. And was advised the wait list was almost one year. Not an option for me, working in a customer facing role. My confidence was at an all time low.

I found Botonics online and quickly read all the reviews and submitted a query. I was contacted straight away by way of phone and email. The customer service was second to none, no pushy sales people, just a friendly, understanding voice who talked me through the process.

My consultation with the doctor was amazing, i instantly knew she generally wanted to help. And her knowledge was great. I have been on roaccutane once before about 6 years ago for acane around my chin cheek area. I paid privately at that time due to the dermatology wait time in the NHS and it worked really well for me.

In January this year I noticed I was starting to get more spots on my chin cheek area again. I would always get the odd one but it had started to increase and I started to panic. I tried all the different treatments and home remedies last time and was trying the same. Nothing was working again. I did have private healthcare but due to acne being a long term issue I had to go through a different process and it was going to take a couple of months and it wouldn’t fund it all. I initially contacted Botonics when I was in a very vulnerable place with my acne, the NHS offered no solutions after waiting 9 months to be seen.
My initial consultation with Dr Maria took place very quickly due to excellent availability for appointments via video call at the clinic. Dr Maria was kind and showed great empathy for my condition which was a stark contrast to how I had been treated by the NHS!
I felt confident after our call that we could get my skin back on track.
After our initial chat everything moved very efficiently. I had my postal blood test delivered and returned within 1 week of my consultation and my medication delivered and started within 2 weeks.

Having suffered from acne for years, I felt roaccutane treatment was the only option left. I decided to go with botonics as I had tried many other treatments, including two different antibiotics and over the counter products. None of these had provided a permanent solution and my acne was still really bad. I needed to have the treatment done by a certain time, and the NHS wait list was too long.

Therefore I decided to give them a call and see what their offers were. There was a free online consultation and then I decided to go for it. Soon after the free consultation- which makes botonics better than othee private options in my opinion- and the blood test, they had sent out the roaccutane (all in one go) to my address. I found this really helpful as I knew I had it all there and it almost acted as a countdown till the end of the treatment.

In my course I had 3-4 video calls and 2 blood tests included in the price. The video calls were a chance to check progress, and taking pictures before those calls made sure that progress check was easy. Therefore I would say that although it's not free like the NHS, you get the speed and quality care that you pay for and that I needed.

I was unable to get Roaccutane on the NHS and came across botonics through searching online. I had taken the medication previously so felt positive about the results I would get from this, and as my skin had started to get slightly worse again I was keen to take a medication that I knew would be effective for me. I decided to go to botonics as there were lots of positive reviews and I was able to get an appointment easily.

I requested treatment for Migraines and discovered that Botox injections could resolve a huge medical issue that i had suffered my entire life. The pain of the migraine struck full inability to myself and had enough.

When attending the appointment, all I had were a couple jabs in the top half of my head and left with no side effects at all.

Botonics changed my life, for the better.
The reception was very welcoming as were the busy reception staff. The waiting area is spacious and comfortable with a TV to keep you occupied should you need it.
I’d previously had a free consultation with specialist Naruschka Henriques. She came over as extremely knowledgeable and put me at ease. She listened to my symptoms and explained the procedure to me carefully tailoring my treatment personally for my condition, Bruxism. I had been sent all the information and advice leading up to the appointment, like what to take and use on the treatment area. This would help my recovery and limit bruising from the Botox injections.

Once in the treatment room I couldn’t help but have confidence in Naruschka she was very calming as she marked the areas that needed the treatment making sure she hit the maximum areas that needed the most help, explaining what she was doing as she worked. As she injected the Botox in, I had to have quite a few, on both sides of my face, I can honestly say all but three didn’t hurt at all. The three that did hurt, it was over quick as the injection. I was bound to feel some as my condition was chronic, I needed deep injections in some very sore places.

I hadn’t heard of Bruxism treatments before this and I wish I had known about them before I’d lost so many teeth due to grinding and clenching my jaw. I have fibromyalgia so am in a lot of pain on a daily basis and to have pain in my head, headaches every day tooth ache which can’t be relieved it made my coping with fibromyalgia worse. After the treatment I had very little pain in my jaw and the headaches stopped. A minimal amount of bruising showed on my face on both sides, which faded quickly due to my following the instructions given to me. As the days went on, in total I had about five weeks of no pain, no grinding or clenching, no daily tension headaches and more of a surprise, no jaw spasms! I used to get at least one daily when my jaw would jerk shut unexpectedly and I’d bite my tongue making it bleed. Since the first treatment 8-9 weeks ago I have had only three spasms! To me that’s a miracle and the lack of pain in my head and teeth has also helped my fibromyalgia. I’m calmer more relaxed and not tense all the time.The old me again. I went back for my follow up appointment last week and was given some more Botox injections to see off any returning problems. I had started clenching my jaw more around week 7 and the headaches were just starting to return. So this second treatment should help stop the symptoms returning if not just for a while longer.
My condition went from Chronic to minimal with one days treatment! I would recommend Botonics for the treatment of Bruxism , Naruschka is very knowledgeable. The staff are friendly, you have a private comfortable treatment room and their prices are transparent on their website too. I wasn’t pressured by anyone trying to sell me more treatments or further consultations either. No emails, texts or calls since just honest, professional treatment.

Update, it’s now June 12th 2024 and I’ve had no jaw spasms rarely a headache and the jaw clenching I hardly notice it. It’s happening so much less now.

I’m currently 3 months into my Roaccutane journey with Botonics and so far I’ve been really happy with the service received. All the staff have been so helpful and everyone responds to emails/ phone calls super quickly. I live at the other end of the country so everything has been done remotely which I was a bit anxious about, but the contact and video consultations have been great.

I tried for years to get help from the NHS but unfortunately nobody took my skin problems seriously. Botonics listened and acknowledged my feelings and understood my concerns, then started the process right away. From initial consultation, to postal blood test and first tablet, it was all done within weeks. It was great to get started after waiting years of being unhappy with my skin.

As I’ve not finished my treatment yet, I can’t comment on the final results but I am amazed at the difference in the skin 3 months in. I’m so excited to see it after month 6. I’m sure most know the side effects and process you have to to through with your skin, from initial breakouts to dryness etc. For me, I had dry skin, lips and a little bit of breaking out initially (nothing that made my acne worse than it was to be honest, just like normal spots I’d get anyway). I knew I wanted to get onto Roaccutane because I tried so many things over the years. I've had cystic acne since I was 16 [I'm 23 now] and I was utterly tired of it. I've tried things from benzoyl peroxide, to doxycycline and even tretinoin. None of it worked, and I didn't want to go on to the NHS because the waiting times were excruciating. So I was so glad that I found Botonics to start my Roaccutane journey.

The onboarding process was very quick and simple. I was able to get Dr Divya on the phone within days of sending in the sign-up form filled with my relevant information [i.e. weight] and it was totally free of charge. She was meticulous throughout the call, questioning me on my history of acne and the medication I used. She was also non-judgemental and was open to answering any questions I had.

I was able to get my first prescription tablets very quickly [within the first week, I think] and I was sent super detailed instructions by the Botonics team ranging from usage to how to care for my skin during the period I was taking the tablets. Over the years I’d tried over-the-counter remedies, changing up my skincare and any antibiotics available but nothing worked.

From consultation to my first isotretinoin tablet, Botonics ensured a seamless process. From when I decided to go ahead with the treatment I received the isotretinoin tablets the same week! As for the treatment itself, I experienced only a minor side-effect of dryness and was lucky to not experience any purging, or any other side-effects at all. Within just a couple of months, my skin started to clear, and the transformation was astounding! I never thought my skin could look like this!! Due to my skin looking so good, I became a little bit apprehensive about coming off the isotretinoin and the potential of my acne returning. The Dr was so reassuring and provided a really clear and thorough after care consultation so I knew exactly how to continue after coming off isotretinoin to keep my acne at bay for good.
Now, having completed the treatment, I can confidently say it was one of the best decisions I've ever made. My skin looks and feels amazing, and the boost to my self-confidence is immeasurable. I came across Botonics at the end of December after trying many many different options to get effective results to clear up my acne which I have battled with for many years. After spending thousands on different treatment options and with my wedding coming up in July, I decided to go ahead with Roaccutane treatment with Botonics which after almost 3 months in, has been a stress - free & smooth experience so far. At the time I looked around at different options available and really appreciated that Botonics had no hidden costs which made me feel a lot more at ease going into the process and helped me to plan in advance.

After my initial consultation with Dr Maria who has been so friendly and professional throughout, I was able to start the treatment within around 2 weeks which was fuss - free and very well organised. The blood test kit at home was dispatched almost immediately and in itself was very user friendly and easy to administer which saved me the hassle of attending a clinic in person. All admin is taken care of very promptly and email instructions are so clear which had made the process a lot less stressful. It has definitely been handy alongside working full time and being able to schedule evening virtual appointments which fit into a busy lifestyle really well.

My symptoms on Accutane so far have primarily only consisted of dry skin and very dry lips but if managed well, have not been too much of an issue. The advice I have been given alongside the treatment to help cope with side effects is also very beneficial and has helped massively. Aquaphor for the dry lips has most definitely been my saving grace, as is keeping hydrated all throughout the day. I am now almost three months into treatment and can definitely see a huge improvement in my skin overall. I have very few breakouts now and can see an overall improvement in the redness of my skin. Currently I still have another three months to go so I am definitely looking forward to seeing what the end results will look like. My one regret is just that I didn’t do it sooner and would recommend accutane to anyone who is struggling with severe acne

I sought out this treatment because my acne had been progressively getting worse and not resolving no matter what I tried. Botonics was super accessible and reasonably priced. From the outset they walked me through the process and were very easy to get in touch with if I ever had any questions. From the initial consultation, I was able to have the medication very quickly (within a couple weeks) which was great because I was very keen to get started. Throughout the course of treatment, the regular checkups were really useful for me to ask questions and get advice on how to manage the side effects. However, I was very lucky to not get many.
