If you are thinking about going on Isotretinoin, please just do it. Dr Divya at Botonics has been great over the past 7 months of my Isotretinoin journey and I would not hesitate to recommend their service.

I reached out to Botonics in January after suffering with bad adult acne since coming off of the pill in 2019. I felt like I had tried all sorts of over-the-counter medication and antibiotics etc and nothing worked. I was awaiting a referral on the NHS but this would have taken well over a year. The free consultation offered by Botanics was the main reason I chose to go with them, most other clinics charged upwards of £150 for a consultation! The consultation was done over the phone which meant it happened within a few days of me reaching out. I started the treatment within two weeks of my consultation (following the easy postal blood test).

I was hesitant to try Isotretinoin because of all the horror stories you hear about it, but my experience could not have been better. Please don’t let people put you off, it is so so worth it. I only wish I had started sooner. Although it will vary for everyone, I only had very minor side effects including dry lips (nothing a bit of Aquaphor couldn’t sort out), dry arms for a couple of weeks and some minor joint aches (only for a couple of weeks as my body got used to the medication). My skin cleared up within 3 months. My confidence has shot up as a result of the treatment, something I think the few months of potential side effects and the price of going private is well worth. Dr Divya always gave advice and recommended products to help with the side-effects.

I came across Naruschka Henriques in 2015, when I was looking for somebody to perform a non-surgical nose job to fill in the bridge and straighten my nose. From the moment I met her, I knew I was in safe hands. Naruschka takes the time to meet with you, and explain the procedure throughly, so that you are comfortable and understand. The procedure itself is carried out with minimal discomfort, is quick, and the results are amazing.

I booked an appointment with Naruschka Henriques for nose filler after being recommended by family. My nose is something I have always been paranoid about and I wanted something to fix it without the option of surgery. I can honestly say that my experience with Botonics was phenomenal, from the moment I booked the appointment and discussed things with Bill, to the consultation and treatment with Naruschka.

Naruschka was extremely understanding and reassuring as I was quite nervous about the whole procedure. She listened attentively and took on board everything I said. By just sitting and speaking to Naruschka, I could tell how knowledgeable she was and it put me at ease. It actually felt like I had known Naruschka for a long time.

Naruschka took time to analyse my nose, take pictures and discuss exactly what she thought I would need. I told her I wanted something that made a difference but still looked very natural and subtle. Naruschka did exactly that and I still looked like myself.

The procedure itself took around 7 -10 minutes. Naruschka applied numbing cream and let it sit for a while. I didn’t feel much pain on the bridge of the nose, just the tip of the nose was slightly uncomfortable. Naruschka took her time and made me feel very relaxed so it felt as pain free as possible.

Looking at the after pictures, I could see how it had changed but without it altering my appearance. I said this to Naruschka and i’ll say it again… She is a wizard!

She gave me a list of things to do to ensure that my aftercare is also as smooth as the procedure and reassured me that I could call anytime if I have any concerns.

I was with Botonics for my Roacctuane treatment for 6 months, I can easily say the whole process has been totally faultless. The team have been so supportive throughout the whole process . I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again for any other treatment I wanted in the future.

It started when I decided I wanted to go onto the medication but the NHS waitlist was far too long, I had tried other prescribed medications from my GP and antibiotics but nothing sorted my skin, my confidence was very low and decided enough was enough, so started to research ways to do it privately, botonics looked by far the best in my opinion after researching many other clinics and service providers.

After feeling rubbish about my skin after my acne returned after my pregnancy, I was on the wait list for over a year on the NHS. So I decided to go private and I am so happy I went with botonics for my acne treatment. My skin is now completely clear and blemish free, after it felt and looked like sandpaper of spots and inflammation.

The service was straightforward and quick and the package of treatment was affordable/manageable. The team were responsive by phone and email with any queries I may have and to coordinate the treatment (and receiving the medication which I bought via botonics rather than the hassle of purchasing it myself), and I had regular catch-ups with the doctor via telephone to review my progress. My doctor was knowledgable and personable and my treatment regime was adapted based on how I was managing the side effects.

I experienced some purging at the start of the treatment which was actually reassuring to know that it was working in getting rid of blemishes (and blackheads on my nose). My skin also went quite red at first so I purchased some of the recommended barrier cream which helped and aquaphor for my dry lips. Otherwise I had no adverse side effects and I feel these are worth it in the short term for the longer term benefits of clear skin (it’s also quite nice not having to wash your hair as often!) I didn’t have any psychological side effects other than feeling much better about myself that my skin wasn’t making me feel so self conscious.

After my initially searching for a credible place to undergo treatment for quality of my adult skin- I looked far and wide and decided to make contact with Botonics. The experience first time remained with me hence when I required further treatments, I was able to feel confident in returning to the clinic again.

My second time returning to Botonics for issues with my skin was dealt with by the administrative team promptly. I queried and within 24 hours for a response! As per usual, I was informed of needing to have an initial consultation with a doctor in order to see whether I qualified for the course of treatment I was needing (Accutane). Dr Gordon was fantastic and so supportive, I knew I was in good hands. The consultations were prompt, booked in easily by the team and all communication to and fro was confidential. This meant blood tests (usually two included with the treatment) and any other images required were kept private.

What further placed my mind at ease was the way all my queries were handed by the Botonics team. The efficiency with handling medication was done by lovely Michelle and Cassie. None of my medication was delayed. As soon as I had met with Dr Gordon, I was prescribed the appropriate amount of medication and this was sent directly to me. There is an option to opt for a prescription to be sent to you so that you can sort out getting medication from a local pharmacy. However after being recommended the first method of getting the medication, I realised it was much better! There were no large queues to wait for the medicine. Please bear in mind that isotretonoin tablets are not always easily available from pharmacies. You would have to do research prior before knowing whether you want them sent to your house (for an additional cost) or if you want to get hold of medication with prescription yourself. The former as stated, worked out a dream. Soon as my consultation was over, Michelle and Cassie were quick to set everything up with tracked delivery and I was on routine with my tablet consumption.

Shout out to Bill who was also very helpful on getting me started on the procedure. Also took into consideration that I was a returning patient and handled everything smoothly from my query to the end of finalising the finances. It made a large difference in being able to trust the team with all my sensitive documents, as of course with any medical issue you generally do feel vulnerable. But not here! Thank you all!

I sought treatment with Botonics for Accutane after a truly bad spell of acne that just did not respond to anything I tried with it. I had always had absolutely amazing glass like skin throughout my life, never wearing makeup and never having any problems with my skin at all, until I turned 20 and started to develop aggressive hormonal acne. I had every type of acne on my face and battled it the best I could for 2 years with absolutely no results from skincare, diet and topicals. Battling acne changed my life, cancelling plans and being ashamed of my face was unlike anything I’d ever experienced before. I would 100% recommend the Botonics Isotretinoin service. From ages of 13, I struggled with severe acne all over my face and could not figure out how to deal with it. I tried everything from birth control to topical antibiotic products but nothing seemed to make it better long-term. It affected my confidence severely and I felt extremely uncomfortable going out without any makeup on (and even with the makeup on because the texture would show up).

The first consultation with the doctor at botonics went pretty smoothly; my skin photos were examined and I was explained all the steps which should be taken to continue with the treatment. The doctor was very competent and gave all the instructions in a clear manner.

After the initial consultation, in a matter of a few days, I paid for the whole course of Isotretinoin treatment and the first batch of tablets were delivered to my door. It was a quick service and my Roaccutane journey began. The doctor gave me comprehensive instructions on the dosage every time the tablets were sent and some other recommendations as well. If I had any questions, they were all answered within a short period of time. Every subsequent consultation was organised in a effective manner and I didn’t have to chase the clinic.

The treatment went smoothly. Some of the side effects were dry lips and overall dry skin but it wasn’t anything too intense. I followed clinic’s advice and started drinking more water, using moisturising and nourishing skincare products for sensitive skin. For the first 3 months, my skin was purging intensely; however, at some point within the 4th month, it started to clear up and I finally began to see major differences.

Now that the course ended, my skin looks amazing, clear, I have no reappearing spots and no texture. I still have some post-acne scars but they’re much less noticeable. It is definitely a colossal difference and the treatment made me feel much more confident. I would suggest you go get your Roaccutane treatment at botonics as soon as possible since I wish I would have done it a lot sooner! It’s magical what the treatment can do to your skin.

I wanted to give Roaccutane a second try as I was on a course years ago via the NHS which took months to get on the waiting list to even be prescribed it.

I was suffering with mild to moderate acne flare ups while trying every medication the NHS advised me to try but I wanted to get treated and fix my skin issues efficiently. Thankfully I got recommended Botonics by my mother who said they prescribed Roaccutane. So with my research and the positive results from the treatment I had to message and see if I was suitable for the medicine.

I emailed Botonics my concerns and the team arranged for a phone call appointment. I had a call with the dermatologist, I was very emotional but my dermatologist was extremely helpful and reassuring to my skins needs. It reassured me that I was going to be in good hands.

The process from being accepted to getting medication was extremely fast within a week my medication and pregnancy tests were delivered to my door which was a life saver as I suffered with social anxiety with my acne too. I had a fantastic experience with botonics over the last couple of months!

I went to botonics for the medication: roaccutane which is normally prescribed from the GP, however after more than a year on the waiting list, I decided enough is enough and after doing extensive research I decided that botonics would offer the best experience for me!

As a young person my acne had a been a huge loss of confidence for me, and I know the only way I would see results was through the roaccutane drug. And yes my skin has been transformed but most importantly so has my confidence!

I know I took the right decision using Botonics as the team were super supportive before, during and after the treatment. Responding to emails and calls when I had any concerns immediately and putting me at ease! They are also friendly and take the responsibility of your health very seriously with regular check ups with the doctor, blood tests to check everything is safe and just checking up on you regularly.

I chose to have the medicine dispatched through the team and that was excellent also and very reliable!

In terms of side effects I had very dry skin on my body and face, dry peeling lips, watering eyes and sensitivity. I had a few purges before my skin cleared, but ultimately I felt safe and confident in the process due to the teams support and guidance. They don’t sugar coat the fact that this is a journey and it is not a quick fix but I found their honestly empowering. I felt as though I was in safe hands at all times.

Botanics is incredible. Completely cleared up my skin and were very patient orientated with how they dealt with all my issues. They would always check in on me and make sure to check in not just on my physical state but my mental state. They have been very adaptable with my holidays and my life that’s been chaging throughout.
The medication really is making my skin so much smoother and glowier and I have never had so many compliments before on how much my skin is glowing! I am 2 months in to the treatment and this is already happening so I am excited to see were I’ll be in another 2 months.
The payments have been so easy for me with the fact that they are all split up. They have made it all so easy and really been empathetic with their patients. Since 13 I have suffered with acne, firstly only severely on my forehead and chin, and then onto the rest of my face when I was around 16. I had tried creams, which worked temporarily, but the acne always came back. This knocked my confidence hugely, and I always felt everyone was looking at my skin, making comments or giving me their skin suggestions, even though they had perfect skin, thinking their tricks would work for me. I tried everything, all the home remedies, changing my diet, trying to relieve stress, and nothing ever helped. It only kept getting worse. I took lymecycline for around 6 months before taking Roaccutane, but it made me feel sluggish, bloated, and as they are antibiotics, once I came off them, I felt that it had really messed up my gut. My skin was still at one of its worst points ever, and I had already suffered so much.

At 18, I was so fed up and infuriated that nothing had worked for me. My NHS doctor put me on their Roaccutane waitlist, but it was 52 weeks long… After hearing my sister’s experience on Roaccutane with Botonics a few years ago, I felt confident that this would work and I would be looked after. Within a few days I had a free consultation with Dr Divya, where I told her about my acne and she assessed my skin. She reiterated that this was not binding, and I had no obligation to go ahead if I didn’t want to. A traumatic blood test later, I was all clear to start Roaccutane, all within around 2 weeks of first getting in touch with Botonics. This was all done remotely which is incredible as you can access their care from anywhere in the UK, so I was able to do this from university in Scotland, receiving the blood test kits, monthly pregnancy tests and Roaccutane tablets in the post, tracked and ensured they were not going to get lost. It was such a relief to know something might start working for my acne.

After taking Roaccutane for around 2 weeks, I was already starting to see a difference. My acne was definitely less inflamed and calmer. Luckily, my side effects, mainly dry eyes, dry/itchy scalp and dry skin patches, were very manageable. I moisturised my skin every day, and kept up a good routine to maintain a healthy body, always knowing that I could ring up Botonics anytime if I had any questions. Honeslty, I was expecting the medication to take a much worse toll on my body from horror stories I had heard, but I felt in safe hands with Botonics. I had a purge stage in month 2, however this didn’t last long and Dr Divya ensured me that this was common and not to worry. From 3-4 months in, I hardly had any breakouts, and it was only the scars that remained. My skin was smooth for the first time in 6 years!

My monthly check-ups with Dr Divya helped to track my progress and see if I should increase or reduce my dose. They gave me a few different days with different times so I could fit the check-up phone calls around my time which was so helpful. Now 5 months on Roaccutane, my skin is breakout free, and my scars are fading by the day. I have my confidence back, and feel amazing inside and out. Overall, my Roaccutane experience with Botonics is unfaultable, and they were so organised with the whole process, responding to my questions quickly. I have felt in such safe hands, and 100% recommend them.

I have suffered with face and body acne since I was 12 years old (now 30). I’ve tried all the expensive creams and antibiotics but nothing worked. The waiting list to see a dermatologist on the NHS was 18 months, this was too long for me as my scarring was getting worse and I just felt so insecure. This was made very easy with kits and prepaid postage packaging sent to me with simple instructions to follow. 

Dr Divya and all other staff I spoke to were all incredibly helpful, kind and informative. Accutane has truly changed my life for the better and I wish I had done this sooner.

Within a day of emailing the company I had a response, my initial consultation a few days later and within 2 weeks I was able to start the treatment.

I have suffered from acne for years and had tried everything from over the counter creams and serums, to prescription creams, antibiotics and the pill. I finally took the plunge to enquire about Roaccutane after seeing the results my sister and friends had. I contacted Botanics because the video/phone treatment made it easier for me to access a dermatologist.

The consultation was organised within a few days of me emailing, and all my questions and concerns were addressed really well. The team have been so great with communication and transparency at every stage, which put me at ease.

I was initially nervous about the remoteness of the treatment, but the team and Dr Divya helped ease me concerns massively. They communicated everything really clearly to me, from when blood tests were due to what the advice was following each check-up. I opted to use their approved pharmacy service which ensured that the tablets were delivered to my home – this was a huge help because it can be difficult to go to the pharmacy during the working week.

The side effects of Roaccutane are notorious, and I was surprised at how quickly I experienced them after starting the tablets. The dry skin was the worst side-effect for me, especially following having such oily skin for years. Dr Divya reassured me every step of the way. She was always on hand to answer any questions, and gave me some good recommendations for moisturisers to help with the dry skin.

I’ve been self conscious of my skin my whole life and have spent a massive amount of money trying different treatments. None of them worked and I was letting my acne hold me back from doing the things I enjoyed.

I’d spoken to the NHS about Roaccutane but the process was so long and, although my acne was bad, they didn’t feel it was severe enough for treatment with them.

I didn’t go ahead straight away and decided to spend some time considering my options. When I did go ahead, I received my medication within a few days and was able to get started immediately.

It hasn’t been a completely easy ride, with some purging, joint aches and dry skin. However the side effects became much more manageable as treatment continued and it’s completely worth the end result. If I had to keep these side effects for the clear skin then I 100% would. I’d watched a lot of Roaccutane journeys on YouTube which made it look like a horrific experience, but mine was nothing like that. My lips split a little and my skin was dry (especially in the first month) but on the plus side, my hair can go for days without washing now!

I’m so pleased with the final outcome. I’ve finally got clear skin which I haven’t had since I was about 13. With it, I’ve gained so much confidence.

The phone consultations worked really well for me and meant that I didn’t need to take time off work for face to face consultations.
