Brake and Service World Reviews 

Hi I have been bringing my cars to the Letchworth branch for years, just failed MOT on rear brakes resistance test and they quoted me £370 to replace, took it to quickfit where pad's were still in warranty. Quickfit inspected them, loads of life in discs and pads, minor corrosion and scoring on one disc but still well above limits. They adjusted and cleaned it all, ran a resistance check which it passed ALL FOR FREE, took it back to letchworth and they passed it right away. I don't understand why they couldn't have done the same fix rather than going for the expensive repair option. That is not how to win the continued loyalty of a loyal customer for many years, don't think I will be going back.

Went to the service because my indicator light was out and after trying to get this light from many other garages, Amar, the manager, was more than helpful and tried his hardest to get me this light.
He really cares about his customers needs.
I will be a returning customer and definitely recommend.

They are a garage you can trust, they provide good customer service, are flexible, offered a great price and Amar the manager is someone you can rely on

First time in my life writing reviews brake&service world luton the worst i ever seen

I have been using this garage for my motoring needs for several years. From servicing, tyres, MOT’s etc. It is AA approved, they’re offer a fantastic service, very competitive pricing, but above all else, professional and trustworthy, two words often not associated with motor mechanics. I would thoroughly recommend this garage over any other. You will be in safe hands.

I had my car booked in for service and MOT today , fails on first attempt , small repairs needed done and they have been carried out in the same day to get my car legal and safe to drive , thank you for the service guys and thank you to Julian , the mechanic that managed to sort it out in time for me to leave home with the car. Would recommend without hesitation and I shall see you next time.

My car went in today cannot thank the guys there enough front discs replaced and front pads, quick and a reasonable price I would be happy to recommend and I will be definitely be using them again.

Have been taking my car for an mot for years and apart from a few minor fails or advisory’s issues that were sorted out quickly all was good. great service.
Until this year when I took my car back for a mot (car only covered 200miles and stored in garage at night) since last mot. It failed, major faults on 8 items. Some weren’t things that wasn’t on the advisory’s or minor areas at all on last mot. Cost to fix £550. Took the car to another garage for opinion only two major faults were valid. Rest wasn’t even advisory’s or minors. Total cost to fix included new mot £90. Won’t be going back to brake and service world Luton. Seems like they only want money or mot technician was having a really bad day.

Ibby and Mandy at break and service world we cannot thank enough for their help and assistance when we broke down last weekend! We were only in Luton for the day which ended up being 3 days 🤦🏻 Mandy was kind enough to give us all a lift to the closest hotel and waited until we definitely had a room before departing us. We cannot thank them all enough for what they have done for us and their patience in regards to the payment for the car as RAC warranty dealt with all the cost and the dealership the car was from. Absolutely fantastic people and an amazing team.

Took my car here for a full service today. What amazing service. The staff were very friendly from the time I walked in until the time my car was returned. I was kept informed of any work which need to be done, which was carried out, the same day. Would definitely recommend Brake and Clutch Service World Letchworth 100%.

This garage is great. Never had any problems with them. Went in this morning to book an MOT and he booked it in straight away. Always very polite and really helpful. Prices are reasonable.

First visit to Letchworth branch last week and felt welcomed by the staff. Got the tyre replaced promptly with utmost efficiency. Would advise others to pay a visit to this place and experience yourselves. Keep it up 👍

I have recently moved to Letchworth and tried this garage upon the positive feedback this family run company has received. They did not disappoint, they are extremely professional and friendly. I had a gearbox fitted in a two day turnaround - from diagnostic to collection of car, this is extremely fast service. The car drives just like it did when I first bought it! When they took out the gearbox they found my thermastat housing was cracked and it was leaking, so I booked this in and this was a one day turnaround - again a fast turnaround. Fantastic customer service and I highly recommend these guys.

I've been a satisfied customer at the Brake and Service World Letchworth branch for years now. The staff are always very polite and very helpful, and the service is always good value.
There's been a couple of time where I've gone in dreading an expensive problem and a large bill at the end of it, but they've quickly identified a much less dramatic problem, and a much cheaper fix than I'd worried about ( a couple of times they've even done some minor repair free of charge while the car was in, and have done things like brake checks and been clear when no work was needed) It's great to find a team I can genuinely trust, which is why I'm a long term customer

Great customer service, always friendly and always go above and Beyond. Any work carried out has always been very high quality and do there best to keep costs reasonable. Wouldn’t take my car any where else now.

This is a follow-up review for Brake and Service World. After seeing my previous review, the Owner / Manager contacted me to apologise, also in the conversation we had, has given me a positive outlook and confidence of using his services in the future.

I have been taking my vehicles to the Luton branch for at least 5 years now and was never let down, Amar and the team are very professional and always ask before replacing any parts or doing any work. Most of the time I wait for my car if a small issue or service and it's great to see how they prioritise and deal with other customers too.

2nd time using this garage and felt really let down. The car was given back in a poor state. Took in for a service and told needed realignment even though nothing felt wrong with it but thought fair enough they are the experts but afterwards the car was severely pulling to the left, service light on, error message stating there was a tyre pressure problem and then as driving the car the traction light intermittently started coming on. Also parked by their car wash so the car was filthy when collected. Paid a lot of money for repairs to be made only for it to be returned with problems, which is concerning because was a test drive not done afterwards? and if so there is no way they could not have noticed these problems which is the main concern really and a huge safety concern. Car taken back to be rectified and appointment made with manager of the company, who was late, rude, did not listen and stormed out as he stated he had given enough of his time after 27 minutes . Would not recommend after this experience. Clearly not a man who values any negative feedback or concerns about safety. Very disappointed
