Only when you have an important document does it decide it does not want to print, I'm using a business smart MFC 5730, not a domestic one. Brother have spent more time trying to decide whether printe... See more

Non-existant customer service
Non-existant customer service. Manuals available are woefully bad and fail to address even simple processes and fixes. Videos available are equally bad since they lump a bunch of machines with different keyboard/touchpads into the same group with no explanation as to how to fix one that doesn't have the same keyboard. Online help page just circles you back to garbage. So Brother hope you read this (and the 10 other less than sterling reviews that I have left) and get back to me. Garbage company. Stay away from them and work with someone who has real customer service and some integrity.
Bought a new Brother MFC-J6930DW
Bought a new Brother MFC-J6930DW, for my workplace, having already it's predecessor, the MFC-J6920DW, for working at home. Both printers are great and provide full duplex A4/A3 printing, scanning and copying.
The new one developed a fault after just 5 months, so I contacted Brother and within one week they sent an engineer to site who found that an internal drive belt had slipped off a drive causing the drive rollers not to discharge printed pages.
Great service and many thanks Mike and Brother.
Brother HL L2350D Mono Laser Printer
Great value for money.
Easy to print over the internet, high quality prints (depending on which PDF viewer you print from, recommend Microsoft Edge, avoid Mozilla Firefox and Adobe) and reasonably compact.
Brother (Online) Customer Service
Brother (Online) Customer Service Is Utterly Useless
BROTHER : MFC-J4340WD / PRINTER/SCANNER
They don't even have a product feedback form that I may inform them of their product's faults and why it should not be purchased by Disabled People with Mobility Issues.
Big no no
modern brother sewing machines will cause you a lot of problems, I really wouldn't recommend the brand unless you're willing to buy a vintage sewing machine. Personally i've been going through hard struggles with my xn2500; tension issues making ugly dirty stitches and buttonholes even after being reviewed by a professional.
Vintage, old Brother sewing machines were good because they used to put good components in their machines unlike now.
Good alternatives: Janome, Juki, vintage Bernina, Elna.
Have bought a sewing machine for my…
Have bought a sewing machine for my mum, she's had it now for 2 years and hates it, due to it snagging all the time when she sews, iv'e had it 'repaired' under warranty, but the problem still persists. They dont want to tell argos to give us a refund. And have had a loss of confidence in thier 'repairs' all i want now is a refund from whoever.
Beware buying Brother Printers
Purchased an all in one laser colour printer 14 months ago and subsequently 6 months later recommended a similar printer to a client. The clients printer was not functional a short time after purchase and was replaced under warranty causing difficulties for their business. 2 months after my warranty expired (they say only 12 months warranty) my colour laser printer is not functional. They gave me the details of the nearest repair centre, some 285 miles from where I live.
They certainly will not receive any further recommendations nor will I be purchasing any of their products again.

I feel let down by the Brother warranty on my printer.
Customer service just seemed to want to waste time. Days of emails, then they said it's no longer under warranty. Sent them a screen shot from their website where it states 3 years warranty. They denied this was even their website!
Given up now as the whole experience made me realise it was better to ensure I never use another Brother product again.
Fantastic service!
I had a problem with my Brother ES2200 embroidery and sewing machine. Took a few tries to get through to their technical support centre, but I couldn’t have hoped to find someone more knowledgable and helpful when a technician did answer the phone. His knowledge of my exact model was extensive and when I explained what I’d done he instantly knew the problem and delivered the solution in an easy and straightforward way. Problem sorted!! Excellent service and free, what more could I ask for? 🤗
Don`t expect useful help - I would not buy any more of their products
Needed help in installing a label maker- many hours spent just trying to download a compatible label maker. My advice - don`t expect their chat help to be helpful - all they do is send complicated instructions - you have to be an expert computer technician to understand what to do. Am terribly upset at how unhelpful they have been.
Great product - Rubbish service
Ok, so great printer for our office - its wireless and very economical to run we chose the Ecoprint option because were sustainably minded and we just love our little all in one printer. I just wish we could report the same for the customer service, they are very rude and unhelpful and that's if your lucky enough for anyone to answer the phone. It's a real shame because the product is good nut the service is shocking! looking forward to our contract expiring next month. (that's another thing... you would expect someone to pop us a call and say hey just noticed your contracts coming to an end next month is there anything else we can help with?) nope even that seems too difficult for this company - never again!

I've ordered a mat to sdx900 and guess what, Not compatible.
I've got so many problems with brother products in the past. I'm going to choose another way to do my job. I highly recommend do not buy this stuff because you will freak out. There is not as much supply that is needed and the support is rubbish.
Good printer , non existent customer service
Ordered a printer via their subscription service. It was delivered promptly and works fine. The deal offers was after 12 month subscription I could cancel and return printer or pay £1 and keep printer.
I have called several times and no answer. There is no way to contact the customer service department in anyway!!! Very poor .
Please get in touch with me
Stay away from Brother printers
Stay away from Brother printers, the first printer straight out of the box was broken, the next printer stopped working within a few months, and of course trying to fix the problem was a nightmare !
Rubbish Rubbish Rubbish !
worst support ever
they take months to reply - and even then they have nothing to say - just another email that they will reply in a few months again :-) warning to reader - if you are to buy their products better accept from the start that there is simply no support.
Do not buy Brother J4625DW and have…
Bought a Brother J4625DW and have replaced the ink with original and the printer control says no ink or insufficient. Taken out put back in several times , switch it on and off -asked Tech Support but completely ignored with NO reply. Do not Buy A brother Printer - Cannot find phone helpline and no tech support reply. Ink more expensive than Bollinger Champagne but they IMHO must have a control than stops ink replacements even their own blinking ink. don't waste your money on Brother.
Dreadful Customer Service
I was notified of a business service called EcoPrint which seemed like a good idea. We ordered a printer which came with ink for one year. All in all it seemed like a decent price. Until the printer arrived.
We set up the printer, installed the cartridges, followed the instructions and then it goes through a process where the ink is transferred into a reservoir. So we wait, this process takes 19 hours before it's complete. We try to print a page and it tell us there is not enough ink to print. We switch off the machine, switch on and try again, still no ink. We check the cartridges which are fine.
We log into our EcoPrint account and realise just how difficult it is to contact Brother, there is no direct contact method. We are directed to technical support so we go down that route. We hear back in 24 hours and follow the instructions. We cannot follow the instructions as every time we get to stage 2 the printer shuts down.
The support representative accuses us of using third party cartridges. We respond with pictures of the cartridges and he asks us for the cartridge serial numbers which were already visible in the photos we sent him. He tells us again that we shouldn't be using third party cartridges. We explain again we are not using third party cartridges. We are using the EcoPrint subscription which provides us with a year supply of ink directly from Brother. He responds again asking for the same information and states we must be using third party cartridges. And so it goes on and on.
We have submitted photos of the cartridges and they are very clearly Brother cartridges which were supplied with our EcoPrint subscription. We suggest that the printer might be at fault since it keeps shutting down and we cannot print anything. He says they don't send out faulty printers and we should buy some original Brother cartridges. We tell him we are using Brother cartridges etc etc etc. For nearly two weeks we've had this issue backwards and forwards.
There is no other way to contact Brother. We tried contacting sales but they told us to contact tech support. Oddly enough despite having an EcoPrint account, if there are issues with your account there is absolutely no option to contact Brother other than via their tech support.
We've posted a letter this morning cancelling our EcoPrint account and asking them to provide a refund and collect their faulty printer. We'll update when we get a response.
Problem resolved very quickly
Had a problem with my embroidery machine where it kept giving an intermittent "memory full" error message for no reason. Sent a message to Brother, had a call back within 3hrs with a sorry (as it is a known software fault that is currently being resolved) and a temporary fix until the software update becomes available. Amazing service.
Disgusting aftercare service
I bought an expensive printer as I was fed up with cheap ones failing so I purchased a Brother DCP-L8410CDW. The worst mistake I could have made, after 6 months of use and various paper jams a piece of paper caught fire in the machine. I called the supplier and was promptly told I had to call Brother. After being transferred around various people and 3 days later I was told an engineer would be with me the next day and he would call me at 9.30 am with a rough time. I took the next day off work (I am self employed) but no phone call, at 12pm I called the office and after 10 minutes on hold I was told he had broken down. He could have informed me of this but chose not to so now I'm still waiting for an update. Never again will I purchase another Brother product.
Terrible
Terrible. I have been trying for many hours to download a driver for my QL-500. The website says help available 24/7. this is a laugh. It says phone, but I cannot find a phone number anywhere. The so called chat did not help a bit. Eventually somehow I reached a point where I could leave my phone number and get a call back. Guess what? Yes you've got it no phone call. I will never buy another Brother product and advise others to avoid this company.
