We went to Byron’s because they used to do burgers medium rare- not any more! What kind of health and safety nonsense is this? Just cancelled our next booking!

£40 for 2 dry over cooked burgers

Took a gamble, should have listened to the reviews.

I’m actually blown away at how expensive it is for the absolute mediocre burger. Overcooked both patties, borderline crunchy. Far from soft and succulent.

Honestly amazed it’s still in business.

Ignored for quite some time to be…

Ignored for quite some time to be seated in the restaurant in Westfield, London, it was quiet. Not a glance in the direction of the entrance/us until the person decided they were ready to seat us. The person that seated us was extremely rude begrudgingly answering any questions with an abrasive tone and manner. It's a shame as the burger restaurant was recommended. However it's over priced with rude staff.

Overall very poor value for money

Table & seats dirty on arrival. Service rushed and not very personable. Burger patties overcooked and dry.
Hadn’t been for a while, used to love going as burgers always good quality, not anymore.

Hated that you can't order from staff

Hated that you can't order from staff, you have to scan QR code to access menu, choose each item 1 by 1 & add to cart, took 45 mins just to do this and it wouldn't let me pay without without giving my email and name out to them. Cost £95 for 4x burger, chips, soft drink and food was boring, nothing special at all. This was Sept 24 on Shaftesbury Avenue, London. I won't ever go again.

Review for York, the good and the bad, no ugly

Review for York,.
Let's start with the bad, online ordering great when it works, selecting our order was straight forward but took several attempts to make payment, it took so many that we decided to leave and head for Five Guys, but as we were a few steps away the payment went through so we returned. However Byrons if your payment process is going to be so slow take me to a payment pending Page not back to the payment page.
After this the service, by a different server was very good, and the food was good.
On the strength of this first visit, in future I will bypass and hit five guys instead which make ordering so easy and the food in excellent.

Yummy Burgers

We visited Byron in York for the first time In December when we were visiting.
The staff were friendly and the Burgers were amazing.
Can't wait to go back when we are there again for new year.

Byron is dead

Byron is dead. QR menus, no human interaction, empty restaurant, very poor service, super greasy burger, swamped in mustard and ketchup. Tasted worse than McDonald’s - and £24 for burger and fries and soft drink!!!!!!! Will never go back

We felt that they were pulling us a leg.

We felt that they were pulling us a leg. We had a menu and a beer to drink. However they served also two glasses of water, they were part of the deal was said.
At the end nevertheless the two glasses were charged.

Bye bye Byron

I have been using Byron fairly consistently for a number of years now. We liked their food, their approach and overall friendliness. Our first encounter was at Holborn in the late 2010’s where we were welcomed and fed even though the restaurant was about to close. Our experience then caused us to seek out one ‘near’ to where we live at Bury St Edmunds, which we used a lot. Roll on to Sunday May 26th and a visit to Byron Tottenham Court Road…..asked for a menu, was pointed to a QR code - no explanation just “order from there”….eventually did so and after spending £54 on what is really just a burger and chips I have to say I was extremely underwhelmed: previously I’ve been asked how I liked my burger cooked. Not anymore. Food was almost dumped on the table, the burgers were burned to a crisp on the bottom and were drier than a ships biscuit. No one appeared to ask how our food was - staff were obsessed with take away/delivery orders - but still had the audacity to add a service charge! This has to be the absolute worst dining experience I’ve ever had - and we’ve eaten at roadside trailers! I’ll never forget how bad this was and I’ll NEVER eat at a Byron’s again. You’ve had your day……..

Rude staff …

Went to Byron Westfield today I was shocked at how rude the staff were and the very poor quality of the food. I will definitely not return if I could give it no stars I would have.

Visited the York location

Visited the York location, we're sat promptly, then it started going wrong, don't really have menus and want you to use a QR code, do absolutely no customer interaction, eventually ordered 3 burgers, 2 beers, 2 cokes, 2 side salads, this cost over £70 for an average burger and literally no customer service, only gave 2 stars to be kind, the management needs to shake this and deliver value for money or outstanding customer service based on both of these will not go back and can not recommend, spend your hard earned money elsewher

Utterly neglected!

We (4 adults) waited to be shown to our table for around 10 mins… completely ignored by staff… so we just left and went somewhere else. Obviously restaurant was understaffed today but at least come over and thank us for waiting; can we get you guys some complementary soft drinks while you wait? Etc etc… the absolute basics.

Neglecting customers is how great brands die.

Get a drive through takeaway!

Really poor quality of food served here. Do not serve hot drinks! Ordered deep fried Brie which was supposed to be served with cranberry sauce. We didn’t get any cranberry sauce as they had run out. Also ordered pigs in blankets - terrible. Cheapest sausages ever, really oily. Just a massive mistake, should have left as soon as we got through the door and noticed that only a few of the tables were occupied.

We went to Byron Burger on the Royal…

We went to Byron Burger on the Royal Mile for lunch before going to the Pleasance to see the Hogfather. This is our Christmas outing. We were greeted and seated by a smiley man in fairy wings and a halo. Our order was taken, nothing complicated . Drinks were dispatched. It was busy. We watched for 40 minutes as burgers were taken to other people. When we got to the danger zone time wise of having to leave to see our show. I went to find the maitre d’ who told me there was no chance of getting our burger in the next 5 mins. I told him we’d ordered over 40 minutes ago. He went to the kitchen, and came back to say that we could cancel our order if we wanted, or they could box it for us if we waited a few mins more. But who wants to take a burger with them to the theatre? We cancelled. There was a scant apology and a shrug at my disappointment. They did not make us pay for the drinks, but we were left hungry and without time to get anything else to eat. Inefficient, inept, I would give no stars if that was an option

Been a regular customer at old brompton…

Been a regular customer at old brompton road branch. Food quality has gone down and the service is unbelievably poor or non existence.

Had to ask for menu 3 times and after 15 minutes wait and when the restaurant was not even busy, decided to leave and spend my money somewhere else.

Very very bad service
