We went to Byron’s because they used to do burgers medium rare- not any more! What kind of health and safety nonsense is this? Just cancelled our next booking!

Great food with great service!
I’m so glad that Byron have gone back to what they always did well, good burgers.
Tried to order on line today from our local Oxford restaurant. The web order wasn’t available so called them direct. The manager literally couldn’t have been more helpful, food was ready in about 12 minutes and it was all exactly there as ordered. I am coeliac so that is often an issue with a mixed order.
Totally hit the spot, great food with great service!

I always get Byron’s from Norwich and it is amazing everyone!!
Utterly disappointing!
After being Byron regulars in our local and several London locations over the last 4 years we won't be going back again.
Well and truly over priced, having to purchase fries on top of the price of a burger starting from £12 is ridiculous. Swapping a burger bun for a salad was disappointing, if a pile of shredded lettuce, 2 small bits of cucumber, 1 cherry tomato that was ready for the bin and some odd coloured sliced radish was the best they could do 🤷♀️ Burgers are nothing like the ones they used to serve, flatter and much smaller too, overall quality has gone right down hill. Absolute rip off and should have gone to Wagamamas instead.
Restaurant was nearly empty and we should have taken that as a sign.
Sad to say, but goodbye Byron until you get your game on and sort out the prices again!

Absolutely rubbish……3 orders from Byron Burger through Deliveroo and all 3 had missing items. The last one tasted like cardboard.

Thank you for the free chocolate brownie. Burger delicious. Sorted out my hunger. 😃
decidedly underwhelming
Went to the Byron at West Quay in Southampton yesterday on as with family who said was really good. bear in mind this was my first visit to a Byron and on walking in was pleased to see venue probably 90% full so encouraged by this. taken to a table and told about downloading menu etc and drinks ordered. drinks arrived and food order placed, starters then mains. was then a bit surprised when main courses arrived before the starters and i think slightly confused the server as we said we wanted starters first so sent burgers back. starters arrived so we started eating to then 2 minutes later have what i guess was floor manager coming over to ask if we wanted mains at same time which clearly we didn't as we would have not sent them back. he then to proceeded to slightly insist that we had them as it would be 10 mins to cook fresh ones if we didn't which we said was fine so he left. Well having finished starters was then made to wait probably 30 mins for burgers even though by this time venue was probably only 20% full as what i guess would have been the lunchtime rush was over. food finally arrived and yes burgers were fresh cooked but everything else decidedly not. one lot of chips lukewarm at best other lot warmer but def not hot , onion rings like a lump of fat as been left to sit so we tried one and left rest. Like other found cost high as i think burgers should come with fries included in the cost this is why we only ordered 2 lots and if you dont want them say at time but pay the same. also maybe i'm old fashioned as i prefer to give servers cash tips as i know they get these this on card saying team servers share tips i find wrong as how do they know how much you have left unless they see total figures for the day and take off the 10 percent service which even sat here i cannot work out easily. Bring back the cash system!
safe to say i doubt i will be going again
coeliac friendly
Went in with my 10yo who has coeliac disease. Waiter was brilliant explaining the menu etc. he came over a few times but could see that we were struggling with the choices and our little one was getting stressed. The manager saw this and came over to chat. He talked to us about what he could do and really reassured us! Excellent service. Would highly recommend. Also the food was amazing.

Good level of service & average food quality
However we were very suprised by the level of pricing. 13 GBP for a burger which doesn't cover the cost of chips (extra 3 GBP) + 10% service charge = 17,6 GBP... seems really expensive for the basic meal
Excellent
Food was very tasty, came out quickly and staff were helpful.
I had cale cheese burger yesterday
I had cale cheese burger yesterday, it was one of the worst burgers I have ever had.
I am a pure vegetarian so I had limited choice only. It was so disappointing, the salt was on higher side and I had bad stomach after having it.
It had no taste at all. I think a McDonald’s veg burger is way better than this.
Was a little awkward and very expensive
Was a little awkward when I couldn't use my QR reader to access menu on napkin. Paid around £25 for two burgers. Also ordered 1 portion sweet potato feies and 1 portion onion rings. Came to £46. Not sure how much they add for service but 2 side orders do not cost that! I'd say to anyone visiting just watch that on the final bill.

I’m absolutely disgusted with Byron
I’m absolutely disgusted with Byron. I posted a review over a month ago about a bad experience. They replied to my review asking me to email them with a copy of my review as they apparently wanted to resolve the issue with me and get me to come back. I emailed them on Monday, and been in trustpilot today and my review has vanished and of course I’ve heard nothing back. Well as I had pasted my original review in the email I sent to them, here it is again!
I used to love Byron, and the last few times we’ve been we had great service from the waiter there who is always so happy (Hungarian guy I think?). We went tonight and were served by who we believe was the manager (didn’t get his name but he was a bald guy). I get sometimes people have a bad day and it can be hard to be cheerful but I got the feeling this is just how he usually treats customers. It was very quiet in there for a Sunday evening. There were 4/5 tables maximum and mostly couples. We barely even got a hello. He didn’t smile once, or attempt to make any conversation/small talk. I know not everyone loves to make small talk but in this profession you need to do it a little to be polite and treat customers well. He came across so rude throughout. He came over with the bill and to my surprise they now just add on a 10% service charge. We usually always leave a decent tip if we get good service but I hate service charges as if you’ve had bad service it’s awkward to ask for it to be removed. I’m too socially awkward to do that so I stupidly paid it. And I wish I never had. I tapped my card to the machine to pay and then he just walked off and didn’t say so much as a thank you. Just nothing. I won’t be returning which is sad as Byron used to be one of my favourite restaurants. The food isn’t as good as it used to be either.

Had run out of four items we wanted to order. Only had one soft drink option. Asked if fries were included in the burger meals told 'not any more', sneaked that one in Byron!
How disappointing that they've only done half a job with technology......menus are viewed on your phone but you can't order on your phone at the same. Would speed up service when it's busy. Turn around time on tables would be quicker so more tables filled per day. Win win for customers and the business. Bit slow there Byron!
Get Rid
Visited the covent garden branch a few months back on a trip to London. Service to start was terrible. Burgers were cold and raw sent back and got a refund for one of the burgers. Complained to Byron website directly who after saying they would investigate, never came back to us. All subsequent emails have been met with silence. Awful company not surprised theyre going bust. The sooner the better for the population of the uk. Get rid.
£13 for a burger when you could go MCdonalds for £1
Not happy they don’t include free fries with the burgers anymore! Pay £13 for a burger and then £3 for fries.
Service was excellent as always! Won’t be back till they sort out the prices.

Ordered the BRex and Double bacon and cheese burger, order was just over £30 and didn’t even get fries!?! I’m very disappointed and shocked that the business believes this is acceptable. From the Nottingham Deliveroo site. Disgusting behaviour.

Food quality is nice but portion size is a joke. Paid £15 for a burger and chips but got McDonald’s style portions. Text book Shrinkflation, never used to be this bad. Come on guys, sort it out !!
