New Washer/Dryer
We had done our research on a new washer and dryer before we went to the store. We had several questions. Sahil was able to answer all of them clearly. He also carefully explained each part of the purchase in terms of the warranty, the extended warranty we requested and the delivery and removal of our existing machines including the free removal of the pedestals on our machine without us having to take them apart. The delivery date was fast. The delivery team were delightful , competent and efficient. The washer was tested before they left. I also thought it was great that the delivery team notified you of the time window for delivery and in addition let you know where in the queue you were(e.g. 2 more stops before you). We were impressed by the showroom, the salesman Sahil, and the delivery team. Now we will see if our series 6 Electrolux machines hold up for 16 years like our last Kenmore set.

I recently purchased a Maytag dryer…
I recently purchased a Maytag dryer from Canadian Appliance Source after reviewing the product information on your website. However, I have since noticed a discrepancy regarding the stated capacity of the unit.
On your website, the dryer is advertised as 7.4 cu. ft., while other major retailers, including Home Depot, list the same model as 7.3 cu. ft. This inconsistency creates a materially different impression when comparing products and influenced my purchasing decision.
I relied on the information presented on your website at the time of purchase. As a result, I also missed a time-sensitive opportunity to purchase the same product under a no-interest financing promotion with no monthly payments from Homedepo which was a significant financial consideration in my decision.
In addition, I completed the purchase using my Visa card and will be required to pay the full balance next month. If I am unable to do so, I may incur interest charges, resulting in further financial impact.
Under Canadian consumer protection principles, including the “general impression” test for misleading advertising, product representations must be accurate and not misleading to a reasonable consumer. I believe the way the product capacity was presented in this case may have created a misleading impression in context and materially affected my decision to purchase.
At this stage, I am requesting a fair and reasonable resolution, which may include appropriate compensation or an equivalent remedy.

Bought brand new washer and dryer
Bought brand new washer and dryer. In discussing the size of the washer I was told it can handle set of queen sheets. The third load I washed was IKEA thin cotton queen duvet. When it came to the spin cycle the machine banged and walked and would have damaged bi fold door if they were closed. I hung the wet duvet up to drip dry. This morning I washed a child’s small blanket with a towel to balance the load. Same thing. I called Whirlpool and they said I have to be home from work four hour window for repair. I live 5 minutes from work but their repair people won’t call ahead. I called Canadian appliance and the said that they just sell appliances and I now have to deal with Whirlpool. I just finished replacing the near new Whirlpool stove a week after I got the washer. No more Whirlpool for me. I’ll buy Costco from now on. They will pick up defective products and replace.
