Whether online or in-store, CAS customers receive knowledgeable advice, expert service, and quality appliances at exceptional prices. Our goal is to leave each customer with the certainty they made the right choice buying from us.

Although we have grown in size, we have never lost our focus on creating our unique, customer-centric, in-store experience. Each CAS store has a boutique feel, features streamlined, modern displays, and customers are serviced by personable, knowledgeable staff. We pay attention to the details to make the shopping experience as pleasant as possible.

We know that buying major household appliances can feel like a big commitment, and there’s often a lot of confusion or outdated information online regarding return terms and hidden fees with Canadian Appliance Source.

Based on our recent video update (you can reference the file named "Official Canadian Appliance Source Return Policy 60-Day Returns & ZERO Restocking Fees"), we want to clear the air and lay out our Return Policy as simply and directly as possible so you can shop with complete peace of mind.

The Core Return Terms for Unused Items

- 60-Day Full Refund Window: You have a full 60 days from purchase to initiate a return or exchange.

- $0 Restocking Fees: We do not charge any restocking fees on eligible returns.

- Original Packaging Requirement: To qualify for this standard return, the product must be returned in its original packaging.

How to Process a Return

- Keep Your Packaging (For Standard Returns): If you simply changed your mind, ensure the appliance remains in its original box/packaging.

- Initiate the Return: Reach out to our rCanadian Appliance Source Returns Portal - https://www.canadianappliance.ca/returns or customer Service within the 60-day window (or immediately if your item arrived damaged/defective, Do not plug in or use it) and we shall process your return accordingly.

What If Your Product is Damaged or Defective?

We want to make sure that you are fully aware that if your product arrives damaged or is not working, the standard policy rules above do not apply to you.

If you receive a defective or damaged appliance, you are completely exempt from the standard return restrictions; you have 48 hours from the day of delivery to report any damage or any issue with your appliance on our dedicated online support for returns at https://www.canadianappliance.ca/returns

Worst store ever

Worst store ever! They do not stand behind their products.
They don’t care after they sell it. I bought it in September and it still doesn’t work in February!?!? They don’t care at all!
I have had a dryer that doesn’t work for months now. Brand new.
They don’t care and won’t replace it.
Canadian appliance is the worst! NEVER BUY FROM THEM!

Dear Customer,
Thank you for reaching out to us to share your concerns.

We regret that your experience with our company has not met your expectations.

On review of your file, we see that the replacement part for the Dryer has been shipped.

Once the part has been received, you will be contacted by the servicer to schedule an appointment.

On a side note, the manufacturer notified our team that you accept monetary compensation for the delay.

We apologize for the frustrations that this delay and inconvenience have caused.

I order nearly $17000 over two orders…

I ordered nearly $17000 over two orders (over $15000 and over $1500). I was assisted by sales support in the order and selection of the items.

I provided my measurements to the associate for the refrigerator. The sales associate confirmed that it would fit but the refrigerator did not fit. Their returns process was such a pain that I reluctantly decided to keep the refrigerator.

After research it is apparent that are known to charge a restocking fee.

I bought all the appliances for a new house. After the items arrived I noticed that the current range hood was also black stainless steel, so I didn’t need a new one. I emailed the associate the same day. I provided photos of the untouched item. The returns team stated that the box was opened. I insisted that it was not touched and offered to bring it into a store for inspection. They declined. I was not informed during the order process that ventilation items were not returnable even after enquiring about the returns process. I am working on a charge back through my credit card company. Advise consumers to stick with known companies like Costco, BestBuy, Home Depot etc.

Complaint – Canadian Appliance Source. “Policy” not disclosed to buyer in any contract or bill of lading. False information by CAS staff to make sales and keep customer money.

Complaint against the Canadian Appliance Source. BEWARE!! DO NOT SHOP WITH CAS!!!
Go to Home Depot!

Complaint Allegations:
CAS provides False information through CAS staff to make sales and keep customer money. Later states they have a “Policy”, which is not disclosed on any7 sales contact or bill or lading, or by employees, to avoid any responsibility for damaged appliances.

Read on for full account:

We decided to renovate our home and engaged a cabinet maker to order new cabinets for our home. The cabinet maker recommended we pick and order appliances early in the process so that the cabinets could be built to fit our new appliances.

On March 9, 2023, on the telephone, I picked 4 Frigidaire appliances with the help of sales person Hargun Singh of the Canadian Appliance Source. I explained the situation to Mr. Singh and told him that we would not be able to receive the appliances until the fall of 2023. Mr. Singh said that was no problem and I only needed to give a deposit to hold the appliances - Mr. Singh advised I would be able to schedule the delivery in the future and pay for the appliances in full then. I gave a deposit of $2150.00 and order number C2480207 was created on March 9, 2023 through Canadian Appliance Source. The total order value was $8600.00 for 4 appliances including a dishwasher, fridge, wall oven, and cooktop.

In the months that followed, I received weekly phone calls and emails asking me to schedule the delivery of the appliances and pay for the full value. Each time I explained that our house was under renovation and we did not yet need the appliances. At the end of August 2023, I received a another call stating that if I did not schedule the delivery of the appliances and pay for them in full, the appliances would not be in stock and I would not receive the appliances I ordered. This was extremely concerning as my new kitchen cabinets had been made specifically for these appliances. I told Mr. Singh that I could receive the appliances and put them in my living room until the kitchen was ready for them - Mr. Singh said this would be fine. We scheduled a delivery for September 20 2023. The delivery staff brought the appliances into my living room and left them wrapped in their boxes. The delivery staff said that if there was any damage to the appliances to let CAS know and they would resolve the problem. I did not sign the bill of lading stating that I received and inspected the appliances. There was nothing noted on the bill of lading, the purchase contract, or by CAS staff, stating that I only had 48 hours to note any damage to the appliances.

On October 26, 2023, we opened the appliances boxes and noted that the dishwasher had a large dent in the door from shipping or delivery. I contacted CAS immediately and they stated that their policy is that all damage must be reported 48 hours of receiving the appliance. This is not noted on any of the contract I have with CAS, and their staff (sales staff and delivery staff) were aware that we would not be opening the appliances for several weeks and had told me that if there was damage CAS would resolve any problems.

CAS has refused to repair the door of the dishwasher, send a replacement washer, or provide me with a refund. As the damage occurred during shipping and delivery, the damage to the product is not covered by Frigidaire warranty. I have spent $903.94 on this dishwasher, it has a large dent in the door and CAS refuses to offer any satisfactory solutions, other than to say that their policy is that 48 hours after delivery they are not responsible.

BBB complaint has been filed. If no resolution through BBB court action will be taken.

Dear Customer,

We regret to hear of your experience. Our goal is to supply undamaged units to customers. However, at times, damaged units are discovered at the point of receipt. We, and our Delivery Partners, are in the business of handling big and bulky merchandise, which, at times, may be damaged somewhere in the process from production to consumers homes. While this is unfortunate, it is not deliberate. Which is why we have indicated on our Publicy Listed return policy, consumers have 48 hours to report any product damages. https://www.canadianappliance.ca/Content/Return-Policy-63/

Should have have been advised this is extended, please provide us the supporting documentation, so we can kindly review.

Delivery guys broke our tile and are giving us a runaround at best

Our experience with sales was underwhelming but fine.
It was delivery and then attempting to deal with CAS and the delivery company after that has been entirely frustrating and a run around which close to 2 months later has still not been addressed.
In the process of our new fridge being brought in a tile on our kitchen floor was cracked and the wood transition piece damaged/chipped.
While upstairs I heard a crash and the two guys talking loudly to one another (I could not understand what they were saying as they were speaking in a language other than English) but it certainly appeared to be in line with the crash. I went downstairs to investigate. I checked the floor in the hallway and the walls. I should have asked about the crash sound and where exactly they were when it occurred. The fridge was left in the kitchen just in front of the spot where it would later be pushed into. I was told to leave it unplugged and sitting as is for 1 hour. I was asked to sign the form saying that the delivery occurred and I was satisfied. I held off briefly and did an inspection of the fridge. I was looking for any potential dents or dings as the sound I heard had me worried there might be damage somewhere. While inspecting the delivery guy once again approached me with the form asking me to sign. I felt rushed and having not found any damage to the fridge in the few minutes I was provided I signed after commenting the fridge looks fine.
After the hour was up I plugged in the fridge and pushed it in to its correct spot which then uncovered the cracked tile and damaged transition. I immediately called a provided contact and made a claim which included pictures of the damage.
I was then informed to expect a follow up call in 3-5 days. Over a week later I finally got a call. It was the most insensitive, unprofessional and rude phone call I have even gotten. A loose summary basically went along the lines of stating did I remember signing a form and that he was willing to email it to me (which he never did) and that he wanted to help me but that his hands were tied bc I signed this form saying that there was no damage. I communicated that I had heard a crash and had a worry to which he was condescending and said something along the lines of yeah but you signed the form. I communicated that I was unable to see any damage prior to signing and felt pressured to sign so the guys could carry on. He said I could have taken as long as I liked/needed and again communicated his hands were tied and he couldn’t help me. At this point I was becoming defensive and angry. He showed no compassion or interest in considering that the damage was done by the delivery guy and in a real dick move tried to give his clearly scripted sign off which was not fitting for the exchange that we had had. Nothing this person said or did qualifies as customer service in my eyes and certainly was not helpful in any way. Actually, I cannot think of another equal or more infuriating experience/interaction.
A day later I emailed back asking for another follow up as I couldn’t remember if I had spoken to the fridge being on top of the damage as the person who had called me had no interest in asking questions and even less interest in anything I had to say which left me flustered.
I have since called 3 times and emailed twice. During the phone calls I asked for a manager and was told “CAS does not have a manager” and have been unable to speak to anyone higher than customer service. Customer service has not been able to address my concern to date.
On my most recent call I was told to email again requesting a written response. I did and have still not received an email or phone call. This was close to 3 weeks ago.
Despite loving the fridge we will not be considering CAS for our upcoming dishwasher and stove purchase. In fact we will be tell friends and family to also be cautious in choosing a company where the customer service has been entirely unhelpful and giving us the run around.
While the delivery was another company it was arranged by CAS and therefor I feel they have an obligation to either help hold them accountable or step up to fix the mistake made.

Dear Erin,

We appreciate your feedback regarding your delivery experience. Please note, when accepting delivery from a 3rd party delivery service, the 3rd party would be responsible for all liability, damages, and claims that may arise due to the delivery of services provided.
Please know that we are two separate companies, we are not involved in each other’s claims process

If you could kindly email us at resolution@caslp.ca with your order information, we will be happy to escalate your case again to the carrier.

CAS delivered a defective range almost…

CAS delivered a defective range almost 7 weeks go and have yet to replace it. Everyday I spend hours on the phone and on emails trying to get this situation resolved. So far no luck. Please, if you are reading this SPEND YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE. I realise there are positive reviews on this site but the true test of a business is their ability to resolve a problem. In this case the answer is a resounding no. Also the customer service person on the phone was extremely rude.

Delivery Schedule Difficulties

The purchase of the product went great, the delivery itself was fine, the product seems good.

The scheduling of the delivery was insane. Communicated to multiple people that we needed a certain time slot which the condo allows for delivery and that if it didn't work out we don't mind delaying delivery or finding other means. Found our delivery mysteriously got confirmed outside the required times, was told an additional fee was required to cancel and reschedule despite never confirming and communicating to multiple people that only certain times works for us. We learned to do this because of our previous experience with CAS of confirming a delivery time for a product, never receiving it or any notice about it, only to find they did not even have it in their warehouse. In both experiences it worked out in the end but seems like a lot of trouble just to confirm a delivery time.

EDIT: Thank you forthe reply. As I mentioned it worked out in the end and we had no problems on the actual delivery. I am well aware that your delivery times cannot accomodate the 8am to 4pm window we requested which is why we notified you that we don't mind waiting until such a slot time opens up or find other means. I notice you failed to address how an unconfirmed delivery went out, and why we were told it would be subject to an additional rescheduling fee.

Once again, this was the only issue we encountered. I'm only pressing this issue because this is our 2nd time with issues concerning your delivery-scheduling. Thanks for your understanding.
