The Casting Collective Reviews 

CC are my favourite agency with straight-forward communications and friendly staff who work incredibly hard at all times of the day. They were my very first agency, easy to sign up with and I love that they provide all necessary information when asking for availability. The agents also understand how tricky the business is for SA's to juggle and I like how they double check availability if productions take their time making selections.
I almost considered deducting a star because of how over-saturated they've allowed their books to be, which means you can sometimes find yourself working alongside some unprofessional individuals (but this is the case with pretty much all agencies and productions). I think AD's and agencies should be more ruthless regarding poor behaviour.
I first joined in early 2014 and have since had 94 days of work through Casting Collective with work including feature films, tv, commercials, and HETV shows. This has been alongside studying and working. The quality of opportunities through CC is always high and I've done a few stand-in days which I'm hoping to do more of now!

Casting Collective is, without a doubt, a truly exceptional agency. My granddaughter consistently receives bookings through their services, and they consistently go the extra mile to ensure her well-being and comfort.

Eventually cancelled my membership with them. Got more work elsewhere. For several years id just get one or two days work a year of which they'd take a annual fee from me, most jobs were i feel deliberately inappropriate just to say they'd sent stuff. Their annual fee is up to three times that of similar agents for nothing more. Some find them useful but you cant help but feel they favour just a small number of profiles. They have a reputation in the industry within SAs as a company who book you for a day just to ensure they get the fee. Right or wrong this is what is said of them. I have better luck with smaller agents

This Agency is best of those around.
I think that most with negative reviews have unrealistic expectations and have no idea how the system works.
Been quiet of late but that is nature of the buisness.

The lack of communication and the way my profile was deleted without any notification is not what I expected.

I know it's sometimes a case of 'dog eat dog' or 'Survival of the fittest' but in these days where many are struggling with the cost of living, it would have been far more professional to have notified me via email that I wasn't successful when I had created a profile.

Came across the review page by chance and was surprised about some of the negative responses so thought I should try and balance things out a little!

I started work as an extra in 1999 and I believe I have been on the books of Casting Collective since at least 2000.

People need to realise that in those early days there were far fewer people doing this sort of work. Also not all candidates were vetted in advance by production. Therefore I would often get a phone call to ask if I was available and end up with a booking there and then. Most of my work came from Casting Collective and the staff were always polite and amiable and extremely efficient.

Times have now changed and e-mails are sent out to loads of possible candidates and photos are sent to production who either decide to use you or they don't. Sadly with this system I don't get to talk with the Casting Collective people and probably because I am older now I don't get anywhere near as much work much work.

However I still believe that Casting Collective do a great job and wanted to flag this up....and I have recently renewed for another year.

I have been signed up with Casting Collective for several years now. For the past two years they managed to get me a single job each year and surprise surprise each time just to deduct £75 yearly subscription fee with a commission on top. I know a lot of people who is scammed this way by more then one extra agencies in London. This has become a dark and rotten industry which even unions don't know how to deal with. As example below is a breakdown of my earnings with CC for the year 22/23

I’ve just renewed my membership with CC after a very rewarding first year. After a bit of a quiet start I got my first job after 3 months, a speaking role in a short film! A couple of months later I was in a music video and to round off the year I’ve had several days work as an extra in a movie! Communication is excellent by and large, I did do a couple of self tapes which I heard nothing back from but a minor quibble. Had a couple of payment questions and they always responded quickly and resolved the issues.

My advice is to be patient and flexible and say yes if you can…I’ve had such an interesting fun year and can’t wait to see what next year brings

First time working for casting collective. Absolutely brilliant. All the staff were amazing eloise and tory and the make up ladies hair lady all first class. Thankyou so much guys.

The first extras agency I joined and the best one. I have had so many wonderful opportunities through casting collective to be on massive films and tv shows including marvel, Netflix etc. The staff are all lovely people and considerate, the way they send availability enquiries is very clear and they always tell you if you're booked or released. You also sometimes, although rare, have opportunities to get featured roles, advertisement roles with huge buyout, roles abroad that pay extremely well. They also pay you as soon as they can, unlike many other agencies. Joining changed my life I have made friends, memories and really good money.

Not enough jobs. I have been signed with them since 2016, and have only received a shocking 3 jobs in this time! If I am lucky, I receive one job per year from them (to cover the annual fees) and then they go almost silent for the entire year without even AV checks! Other than that, they are a great agency to work with.

I have signed up six months ago and I have yet to get any work with Casting Collective. The first three weeks after signing up I got unfortunately released twice but still hoping one day I will get another offer. I can only imagine the enormous amount of SA the Casting Collective must be picking from or forwarding to the productions therefore I don’t mind waiting. I find this company very professional and I only heard great things about working with them. So I cannot wait to get that exciting email one day again. Keep up that wonderful work you do :)

Some of the bookers are really polite and helpful. They send you great AVs and remember it’s not their fault if you get released it’s down to production most of the time who gets picked. I hope to get more amazing bookings with these guys. Thank you for the great opportunities.

I have yet to get any work with Casting Collective, i have only been with them a few months but i don't mind the wait, you take how many they must on their books they can not get us all work.
I have been offered a few jobs but then have been released, if i have to wait for my moment then so be it, i have read the do's and don'ts and understand that they take £75 out of your first job, that's fine with me, all the team have been such a great help when i have contacted them or they have sent me job offers, everything is explained, i would and have done so, recommended Casting Collective to others

I had my first job with Casting Collective in London last week and both Vicky and Becky were both great keeping me fully updated about COVID tests at the studios as well as on set. I really enjoyed my Supporting Artist role and am now looking forward to my next opportunity. I would recommend this agency.

I have been registered with Casting Collective since 2008 and have subsequently registered with several others.
In that time I have had more confirmed jobs through CC than any other agency and in my experience, they are one of the best regarding offers of work, communication and response to queries (I have always had a response from the booker when I've 'replied to sender' from an enquiry e-mail) and would particularly single out the current band of bookers (Carla, Dylan, Priya, Sarah, Siobhan, Steph et.al.) who have been very helpful and understanding when I had to recently drop out of confirmed jobs due to a fractured ankle.
If you want to get work as an SA, you must understand that it is a numbers game (I work on a 10% strike rate of any of my enquiries becoming a confirmed job) and the more available you are, the more availability enquiries you will get and therefore the more jobs will be confirmed and worked. And, of course, your face must fit the requirements of the production - CC does not select SAs for the role, a member of the production team does. CC simply puts you up for selection.
I would recommend that anybody starting up in the SA business has Casting Collective in their toolbox.

In my opinion this company is a scam. They told me I would get £110 for the day's work I was offered. Turns out they take all hidden charges I wasn't made aware of and paid me just £15.20. Plus it took them 2 months to pay me. Be very careful with this firm. Make sure you are fully aware of hidden charges. They earn 90% of your money and leave you with basically nothing with your first job with them.

OK so I'm new to this but the communication is unreal they send you regular information about possible jobs etc
The company is unbelievable its like your kind of part of a massive family and they make you feel like your a star even though I'm a nobody really they give you 5 star treatment

I just spoke to Dylan who was amazing and made me feel very special
