We wanted to relocate back to Richmond, from Germany where we have been living for the past 10 years. It was a challenging time, with visas and finding agreement based on our funds which were in Germany. But a big thank you to all concerned, including our new landlord who the Richmond office hold an obvious good relationship with. Next job, bring Oma - Granny - over to join us from Germany. Rogue trading - Selling marketing property albeit domestic abuse. Disregard all the flags letters. ILLEGAL SELLING LISTING without the consent of owners registered on the HM land registry. Please insist upon OR check yourself HMLand registry Records before VIEWING. BREAKING MONEY LAUNDERING RULES PLAYING AROUND LAW. ESPECIALLY THE RICHMOND BRANCH LISTING, they will cloud your judgement with fake reviews here and other stories. Reply shows offence and guilt to misdirect. Chancelllors pressurising TP to remove this as they are fully aware of this property and their illegal activity. Disputed property be warned. I have called the head office and sent the letters to directors and dismissed. Not even acknowledged.

Don’t be misled by the politeness and friendliness at the beginning of the rental process. Once you give notice and want to leave the property, as a tenant you are completely ignored – messages go unanswered and all policies are designed to protect only the landlords. The real test of an agency is not when you move in, but when you try to move out. That’s when you see their true colors.

We made a formal complaint against Chancellors Richmond, specifically the individual people named below, as we have had poor experience renting a property in Kew, TW9.
1. Misrepresentation of the property - On initial viewing, their agent, FQ, specifically said the landlord was looking for long-term tenants. All to find out that there were already plans to sell the property in a year's time, hence why we only gave us a tenancy of 1 year. This put us in a really difficult position of needing to move again when we have small children. Had we known this was the case, we would not have rented this property at all.
2. Insinuating we overstayed at the property - There were a number of emails communicating "tenants were still at the property" from Chancellors mid-July that asked why we had not left and if a check-out had been carried out. We had already secured agreement from the landlords back in May for a one-month extension which was documented via email, yet it seemed this was not properly communicated to everyone. I had to clarify that we are not "overstaying" and that we were offended there was even any mention of this.
3. Accusing us of not paying rent - I received an email today 08/08/2025 saying we are in arrears for July when payment for rent was collected in the usual way via standing order on the 16th of July. I immediately sent proof of payment and then rang their office to speak to their manager in Richmond, OB, who was unapologetic about this clear mistake on their part as she confirmed they had indeed taken payment.
4. Poor overall communication - I had both landlords reach out to us directly as they said Chancellors had not let them know when we were moving out; however we had already advised Chancellors of this ahead of time and even asked where to leave the keys when we leave.
My husband and I, are extremely unhappy with the services this estate agent has provided given the above and we have proof of these emails. Furthermore, your staff RH and OB, were incredibly rude over the phone. For instance, Rebecca asked me to call her urgently, and when I did, she wasted my time by saying she forgot what the call was all about. Today, OB asked me to police my tone when I was rightly upset they had made us out to be in arrears when we were not, and even after she recognised our payment had gone through, she was proud and unapologetic about this. This is why I have decided to cease all telephone contact with this office as they have not shown professional conduct at all.
