If I could give ZERO STARS

If I could give ZERO STARS, I would. I booked a trip back in MARCH...3 months later, nobody is returning emails etc regarding the trip being CANCELED a week after I booked it, mind you...they didn't even alert me of the cancelation, I had to find out when I went through the airline to book my seats!!!! There was no flight itinerary because it was canceled...
Out almost $2000 dollars. BBB cannot get a response from them, my bank can't get a response from them...UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!! I don't know what to do at this point.

Terrible Company

Unfortunately, I have a upcoming trip booked with this company. I am absolutely disgusted with the service. Between online and customer service pricing, they will change in a matter of seconds. You will not get an honest answer and they try to scam you out of money. There is no one there who actually assists with customer service nor offers any help. Just as the name implies, cheapcaribbean, this is exactly what you'll get. If you prefer to be treated cheaply proceed forward, if not RUN and book elsewhere.

Booked a beach vacation with them told…

Booked a beach vacation with them told them how important the beach is to me and they picked the worst beach possible for me to vacation on covered in seaweed. It ruined our vacation because the whole point of our vacation is to have a beautiful Caribbean vacation. We could’ve gone anywhere and they picked this hotel and the beach that was covered in seaweed. I tried calling Cheap caribbian every day that I was on vacation and was on hold for over an hour and could not get anyone in the phone. I even tried emailing them and they didn’t email me back until after I got home!! The worst experience ever do not book or travel with them.

Discussed with everything

Discussed with everything! They want money as much as they can. From the 5 times I've called only one person who genuinely helped me and was honest. Others lie not to refund money or lie and trick you into buying again the trip. Today was the last stra 3 hours waiting to be told I have to pay just for air fare same amount i paid for 7 day all inclusive fee.
Ill be complaining to the government page of us.gov travel for anyone who needs it is here

disgusted with the service

I am disgusted with the service provided by cheap Caribbean and Amstar. I missed one full day of my vacation due to the error of the booking agent. My name was spelled incorrectly in the reservation and when cheap Caribbean was contacted immediately after receiving the email confirmation, we ( it was a two person trip from two different cities) were told it would be corrected and resent. The second email included my correctly spelled name along with the incorrect spelling on the itinerary with no change to the spelling on the airline ticket. Cheap Caribbean was called again and we were assured that because one letter was in the wrong place, as long as I had proper passport and photo id, I would be allowed to check in. This was incorrect. I got to JFK and Delta nor Aeromexico would allow me to check in and stated they were unable to correct the spelling - it was something cheap Caribbean had to do. I waited on hold with cheap Caribbean for over one hour before speaking to an agent. An agent that tried to make jokes and make light of my situation. By the time I finally was able to speak with this unprofessional woman, my original flight had departed and I was told there were no other flights I could board that day and would have to wait for the following morning. I asked for a confirmation number and was told it would take 2 hours because “ticketing was slow on Sundays”. Needless to say I never got that email so I called again and spoke to another woman that was able to give me a record locator for my new flight, which she said the previous agent hadn’t actually booked- she had only sent a note to the ticketing section, and that I would get a new confirmation email. That email also never came but at least I had the record locator which I was able to use and check in with. I wasted transportation money in car services to and from the airport my original flight day and had to go and get another Covid test done to ensure I wouldn’t be told I was outside of the three day window. When I asked for a refund, the first agent told me someone would contact me regarding that ( clearly she just didn’t want to deal with the matter) and the second woman told me I wasn’t entitled to one because the other person in my party was able to go on the original day. I paid $700 for 5 days 4 nights and was cut to a 4 day 3 night trip due in FULL to their error and no efforts were made to extend my trip by a day ( which I asked for and was told I’d have to pay for the additional day) or refund me my money. The other person in my party successfully getting to Mexico has zero to do with the money I spent for my portion of vacation for 5 days. If I paid for five days I should get 5 days or a refund for the day of my vacation they caused me to lose.
When I finally arrived to Mexico a day late, Amstar did not have my name on the list for transfers that day ( because I was supposed to arrive the day before and clearly my repeated efforts to ensure cheap Caribbean accounted for this when they booked my new flight were ignored) and I was told I had to wait for a hand written ticket. I then waited one full hour in the heat before being given a ride to my resort. Leaving the resort, Amstar dropped me off at the wrong terminal at Cancun airport. I had to pay $25 USD for a taxi to my correct terminal so that I could make it home and not miss my flight.

This vacation was the worst I’ve been on due to the many failures of this agency and it’s lack of efforts to amend the situation. And I will be telling as much to everyone that asks about my experience.

We had travel credits with Cheap…

We had travel credits with Cheap Caribbean for four from a cancelled trip last year due to covid. I carefully researched the trips we were planning and "knew" what they would cost. After significant time on the phone to book the trip I was given a total that significantly more costly than what I had researched.

Unfortunately, I had spent too much time on the phone (because their reservation process is cumbersome, at best) and I had to go to work. But, I was unclear that what was happening was an unchangeable reservation.

For the life of me, I do not understand why their reservation agents would see different prices than what is posted on their website. Unless it is to capture the extra cash flow from people. I'm now stuck spending hundreds more. It seems to me that their post-covid business model is to trick people who have outstanding credits into spending more than they had planned to.

So clearly, I've made two mistakes. My last mistake was I failed to understand what their agent was explaining to me in her broken English. But my first mistake was booking through Cheap Caribbean at all. You can bet that it will not happen again.

Now I'm stuck. Pay them more or lose all my credits. To make it even worse, I can't get anyone to let me know the balance owed so I can pay it. When I go to the reservation it only shows the totals, because for some reason their system will not apply the credits yet.

What a rip off!

Want to spend your vacation on hold use Cheap Caribbean

We booked our trip to a family wedding for two couples. Cheap Caribbean only sent one set of reservations. I was on hold for over an hour and Cheap Caribbean told me the problem was fixed. I checked the next day and it was not. Another hour long phone call finally got the problem resolved. Trip date May 7-12 2021 destination Catalonia Royal La Ramonia in the Dominican Republic.

Dont waste your money and time with this company. Booked our trip on June, 2021 to Cancun. I've contacted the hotel which we booked through cheapcaribbean. The hotel doesn't have our reservations. I've contacted Cheapcaribbean 3 times and was on the phone for hours. They charged our credit card without booking the hotel reservations. Worse experience we've ever had. I would rather pay more to book with Expedia!!!!

Nightmare Vacation

My rating to cheap carebbean is actually zero, no stars! My girlfriend and I booked what we thought was our dream vacation. It was supposed to be a celebration of the new year, my girlfriend's birthday and her wish to swim with the dolphins. Cheap Caribbean promises trip options, but failed to deliver promptly to us. They also failed to follow up with us during the trip and after a trip that has been booked and paid in full although we attempted to reached them with no response. The resort they recommended was part of a coalition of high-pressure sales which included representatives from some local site seen. After the purchased of tickets to swim with the dolphins at Royal Solaris, on new years day, on my girlfriend Katiria's birthday, as a result of the negligent driver for Cabo adventures who was speeding, 6 other passengers, my girlfriend Katiria Ayala, and myself Muguel Castro we're in a terrible accident resulting in injuries. I attended to Katiria after the accident while we were still at Royal Solaris which was a few days of serious pain for her and me both. After returning to the USA Katiria has gone through some serious medical treatment, studies and therapy as well as I. We've contacted Cheap Caribbean to ask for a refund and have not yet heard from them even after several attempts. It seem that after spending $3,152.62, they have no sense of urgency to rectify and issue a refund. Their continued partnership with Royal Solaris resort and the team of representatives placed in their locations is an indication of profit above service and people.

Stay Away

Where to start? Our family, friends and ourselves have
been using Cheap Caribbean for years and no problems
until 2021. So, we have reservations for Riviera Maya
in March 2021. Weeks before our trip Spirit Airlines
changed our flights and we couldn't do that so we got
future credits to use and had to switch our Riviera Maya
trip to May and move our Jamaica trip to March, both
witn"CC". So, At the airport for our Jamaica trip in
March and "CC" screwed up and put both our flights
in my name. So after "CC" promising to get us to
Jamiaca the next day and after more Covid tests and
14 hours of phone calls, they were unable to get us
to Jamaica. So, a manager named "BETH" got us a
complete refund for that trip and gave us each a
$250.00 credit to apply to our May Mexico trip!
Well, Spirit cancelled our flights for MAy and
"CC" found us other flights for $800.00 more.
GEE< Thanks!! So, Spirit screwed us over twice
and I understand its not "CC" fault but now we
tried to rebook the same Mexice trip for June
and Cheap Caribbean does not want to extend
the Credits that "BETH-Manager gave us for the
Jamaica screw us and to make things worse, they
want to give us more SPirit airlines credit.
No thanks, The price of our May trip to Mexico
is almost exactly what the trip will be in June
but now they say in an email yesterday that we
have to wait until 21 days before our trip to
transfer credits. How in the world do people make plans
like that? We have phone records and "CC" records everything
as well and we have spent over 20 hours on hold and very
little time actually speaking with somebody. We are not
asking for anything unreasonable. We just want the money
we spent for our trip transferred to our new trip and no
more frickin credits with Spirit airlines. I dont care
how many hundreds of people you claim in the email have
problems too. No other company I have ever dealt with
in my 60 years on this planet have given us worse service.
We will be writing board of directors, BBB and whoever we
can until this problem is resolved. How can a company go
from giving good service and no problems to a complete flop?
My god, we had 3 vacations planned with Cheap Caribbean
this year. We cant even book 1 now as all our money is tied
up in credits we cant use, Lastly, when we call, the "Beachologist"
has to read our notes which takes anywhere from 30 to 45 minutes
on hold to read and then, they are unable to help. We ask for
a manager every time but they need to read the notes which
takes time and then they cant help anyway! Sorry for the
length but its hard to condense any more than this!

Stay away from this place

I booked a trip including direct flights. The return flight was changed to one that lasted 8 hours instead of being a 2 hours direct flight so I called CC and was transferred to a department that could help. I waited for 2 hours and 20 minutes before giving up and calling the airline. I was told that in addition my outgoing flight was canceled and that I needed to contact CC. After speaking to a CSR I was told that it wasn't their fault that my flight got canceled and that they wouldn't refund what I paid since they were a non refundable company. My only choice was to rebook a trip to a different destination since the one I originally chose didn't fit the original dates and, because a month had passed since my original booking and prices had gone up I had to pay extra for a vacation package that originally was way cheaper than the one I booked first. Overall a horrible experience. Please stay away from this place. It looks cheaper but at the end you will be stressed and spending hours waiting for someone to talk to and extra money.

I wish I could give them less than a…

I wish I could give them less than a star. It's hard to believe how bad their customer service is. As Stealers Wheel said it best "clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right..." I'm trying to figure out what to do next and could use any help/advice you can give. I had booked a travel package through Cheapcaribbean last year and after it blew up due to Covid I was given a travel credit for a future vacation for my wife and I. So far so good. I went to rebook it for this year (June-28-July3) using the room credit and the flight credit (American Airlines). After paying the difference I thought I was set. The problem is that when I went to check our seat assignments my wife was not assigned a seat for two legs of the flight. I can't change it online since there is not a seat to change. She does have a ticket but was never assigned a seat when Cheapcaribbean made the reservations. I contacted American Airlines and was told that Cheapcaribbean had to fix it as they booked the flight. They gave me two other options...American Airlines said I could pay $50 for them to assign her a seat or we could wait and get a seat assignment at the airport. Neither of those options are attractive but I guess paying the $50 is the better option of the two. When I call CheapCaribbean they of course deny any fault and say there is nothing they can do to fix it and that I should call American Airlines and around and around we go...stuck in the black hole of bad customer service.

It's not the money as $50 is not going to break me (though as a Virginia state employee working in a veteran care center married to a public school teacher we don't have loads of money) but it is infuriating how poorly I have been treated by both firms as a customer. Nobody could be bothered to care, especially at Cheapcaribbean who is supposed to be my "agent". They obviously have know idea what that word means.

I booked a trip with Cheap Caribbean on…

I booked a trip with Cheap Caribbean on 1/13/20 to go to Aruba from July 15th- July 21, 2020 under Booking ID- 326XXXXX. Due to covid and a lockdown in NY where we live we had to cancel our trip. A trip we would have loved to go on and hated to have to cancel. I reached out multiple times via email. Ultimately I had to call in and sit on hold for hours to get a live person to speak with. I was told that they will NOT issue a refund and the only option is to get a credit. Since i could not travel they issued the credit against my wishes. The credit was issued on Jan 13th, 2020 and it was for a full credit of the amount I spent. The problem is that I have to book a new trip by 7/13/21 and travel by 12/15/21 and now my wife and I are expecting a baby. We will obviously not be travelling as the pandemic is still an issue and I still have not received my refund as originally requested multiple times. MY MONEY IS BEING HELD HOSTAGE BY A SCAM. Using COVID to rob people.

Exactly as other reviewers say

Exactly as other reviewers say! 100%!

I will agree 100% with other reviewers because my story is the same, their customer service is a living hell!
It is easier to contact IRS or CDC. NEVER AGAIN.
On hold 6 hours and supervisor never available. Been calling for about 12 months, the same story every time. Employees are incapable of helping you, and the supervisor is never found. Please I'm begging you to stay away from this company. It is easy to book but if any issues arise you will be going thru hell with this company.

Worst customer service ever

NEVER, NEVER, NEVER again! We booked a vacation through Cheap Caribbean to go to Mexico in March. All seemed well until we arrived at our hotel. They had NO RESERVATION for us. The hotel manager, as well as the Amstar rep, tried calling Cheap Caribbean without success. On hold forever and then you get disconnected. We ended up having to pay the hotel for our stay and we are STILL trying to get a hold of Cheap Caribbean to straighten this mess out. We were told by the hotel as well as the Amstar rep, NOT to book with Cheap Caribbean. They have had multiple issues and can never reach them to sort out. My advice..... Book your vacation directly with the hotel and DO NOT use a 3rd party no matter how enticing price wise it may seem. This was the first time I used one and it will definitely be my last.

Customer service is an absolute living hell.

Here is the most honest review I can muster. The customer service is absolutely horrific right now. I understand that the pandemic has shaken things up but if they are going to continue to accept thousands of dollars from people for something as stressful as international travel, they need to be responsive. I have spent countless hours on hold with them. Hours and hours per call. After waiting on hold for hours, sometimes the call mysteriously disconnects and you have to start over. There used to be a call back option in lieu of waiting on hold. That was short lived and doesn't exist anymore. They try to convince you to send an email rather than call but it literally takes a week to get a response. Then, the response is something like "Tell us your booking number so we can locate your reservation". So you reply with the booking number and guess what, another week waiting for a response. This may have been a good site to use once, and it may be again someday, but for right now I URGE YOU, do not book through them. It is a living hell.

Cheapcaribbean seems to be playing some shady tricks with my credits.

I booked the all-inclusive resort with them last year in Feb. for travelling in Nov. In Sept, I canceled the bookings and they said, I'd have a credit of $500 towards AA flights and the rest of the money will be used towards the resort.

Now, when I tried to book. They are saying, I must use $800 towards AA. I asked them how did they come up with it. And the agent said, that is what the accounting dept told me. I asked him for some proof about how much did they actually paid for AA and he said, it's against the CC policy.

I am finding it very shady that they are asking me to spend $800 out of my $1100 toward AA. this makes NO SENSE to me. I booked the deal in Feb 2020 for Nov 2020 THAT TOO FOR CANCUN. so I am 100% sure the flights could not have been $800.

How do I fight this? they already have my money and they are not willing to budge! Does anyone know what I am supposed to do here? Do I have any legal avenues?
