Compare Travel Essentials 

Awful company do not use!!! Was not told about paying £8 at drop off and pick up when booking online, confirmation email says £5.50 for drop off, no mention of pick up, that increased when we arrived with no warning. Total price paid makes it more expensive than any of the other better companies that we compared them with. Have to call 10+ times before anyone answers to let them know you are there to drop your car off or when you arrive back to pick it up. On the phone when I asked about paying another £8 and why not stop at the drop off which our friends were told to wait that was £4, I was told in a very threatening manner pay it or I keep your car, simple! Rude and threatening phone calls, appalling way to treat customers. Would never use again and will warn friends and family to never use them! Stay away

I required and booked ,by phone , Gatwick meet and greet parking facilities using this comparison site as a guide to which company to use. I chose, unwisely as it turns out, Park Direct Gatwick based on Compare Travel Essentials’ own link to its review platform on which Park Direct Gatwick ( also advertised on the site as Park One Gatwick) has an excellent 4.9 /5 rating . Based on this and the testimonials I made my booking with Compare Travel Essentials by calling them to ask various questions regarding security of the vehicle etc. At no point was I alerted to the issues surrounding Park Direct Gatwick .... which, by all accounts, were already mounting up.
My car was badly damaged by Park Direct during the 10 days I was away ... passenger bumper ripped down, passenger door damaged and misaligned, huge clod of mud and grass stuck in the bumper ( photos of my car in gatwick carpark taken seconds before I left it prove how gleamingly clean it was when I handed Park Direct my keys ) , 18 miles added the mileage and my car clearly used for personal use .. dash board settings and radio station changed. There were many other issues ... all of which have remained undesirable with by both companies but the one I wish to report here is the fact that upon complaining ... again in person on the phone, to Compare Travel Essentials, the same woman I had booked with admitted that this comparison site were already AWARE THAT PARK DIRECT WERE SHODDY AND WERE IN THE PROCESS OF REMOVING THEM FROM THEIR SITE AT THE TIME I MADE MY BOOKING !! And yet Compare Travel Essentials CONTINUED to allow them to remain on their site... promoting Park Directs business and allowing them to wreck customers cars as evidenced both on this review platform AND on BBC’s Rogue Traders ... which three weeks after my complaints were made confirmed that I had been spot on in my allegations that my car had been driven and stored in some unregulated and insecure farmers field .... Shame on you Compare Travel Essentials ... you were culpable in the damage to my car which cost me £360.00 to remedy, because you KNOWINGLY allowed me to book the services of an operator who you already knew to have been operating in a very much less than professional manner. I hope your directors go out of business ... the manager I spoke to two weeks ago was uncaring and shambolic with his explanations. You are as much to blame as the appalling company you actively promoted, encouraged and allowed me to book with .

Booked meet and greet with airport fees, our car was 2 hours late, was then handed a token by the driver to pay on exit, the company they used was manchestersecure parking, who are a bunch of cowboys with no manners on the phone, happy to take your money without the service. Avoid this comparison site

This company are uninsured and their owner is wanted for prosecution, informed to us by the police after we had to call them after they got abusive because they brought the wrong car to us, and then claimed they had lost our car.
Nightmare. Never use them.

I negatively reviewed this company on Trustpilot in respect of car parking return problems on August 15th.
I notice that other similar negative reviewers ,such as Edward Fisher,16/9/19 actually received a response to their complaints.
We had already logged a complaint about the car parking company on July 23 rd Reference FPS20190723141/LJ Byrne.This has been ignored for over 2 months.
So ,using that reference can you investigate and find out from the car parking company ,that your company booked and took the money for - why I waited an hour upon return ;what happened to my USB cable and why did they use 60 miles worth of Petrol.If this happens I will change my review from DONOT USE

In all respects well disposed, proficient and worked superbly of helping us plan our outing. Was kept refreshed consistently and gave awesome administration.

Terrible company. Waited 1.5 hours for drop off. Repeatedly lied about how long they would take on phone. Will be reporting to Consumer Ombudsman and Gatwick airport.

Brilliant service my only criticism is that you have to pay the car park on entry and exit on booking was only told about paying on exit

When I dropped the car off the guy had no details.

When I returned I called ahead and I’ve been waiting for 40 minutes.

This is messing up my day. I’ll never use these people again.

Update:- 1 hr and 30 mins I waited.
The guy at the car park crept away like a coward. I called the number 9 times.
Honest to god I was about to report he car stolen. Seriously don’t use these people.

Update:- I complained using the number. The guy found it funny and argued with me.
I’ve emailed a formal complaint. I shall call the office once they open.

The customer service staff member was very helpful. I got a fantastic deal. I will use this service again soon.

Polite and efficient service, beginning to end. My experience at Gatwick went without any issues, overall very happy with the experience.

Gatwick South July 2019 Drop off was ok.
Return was a very annoying one hour wait .
Phone repeatedly unanswered.
Approx 2 gallons of petrol used and USB cable stolen.
Website complaint mechanism is total sham.
Email addresses do not accept emails.
One man company recently formed .
Not Gatwick approved so they have washed their hands of it and recommended contacting Trading Standards

I had to wait over one hour in the smelly and dirty parking for my car to get it back. I called the operator after half an hour waiting and he said that the car was on its way, which was a lie. On my way out when I scanned my ticket my total bill to pay was £360! When I called the parking office they told me that it’s the CTE’s fault as when I left the car with them a week before it was tailgated from the airport parking. Avoid this unprofessional and dishonest company!

Had a hugely disappointing Meet & Greet experience with this company at Heathrow T3 this week. The number that I was meant to call 30 mins from arrival went unanswered for at least 10 minutes. I arrived at T3 and had to wait 35 minutes before someone came to colect the car. The same on the return-a complete shambles.
Whats even worse-they have glowing reports on their site but you can't leave yours-the truthful ones-stay clear of these guys if you want to avoid huge stress, lack of professionalism and downright rudeness
