Former Employee
Former employee, following quitting Credit Style Limited due to poor treatment of staff and customers I have accessed free public records held about this company, which makes very worrying but eye opening concerns.
All the information within this review can be freely and publicly accesed from Companies house. Once on Company House simply type in Credit Style Limited, then all their company listings will appear.
Yes I mean 'all their company listings' now credit style limited is currently showing three seperate limited companyes [not normal business practice], their companie numbers and names are are: Credit STYLE HOLDINGS LIMITED 08798507, CREDIT STYLE LIMITED 06133355. The third Companies House Listing has no company number but also listed as CREDIT STYLE LIMITED.
Rather strange that what claims to be a single company is actually listed as 2 or 3 seprate companyes.
The intrigue does not stop there...
You will find various Directors [listed as officers on company house] one of these are "Brian William MAYNARD."
If you also access his free public accessible records held by Company House it makes further intresting reading and is more eye opening about how the copmay owners are operating.
The free public accessible records from Companies House currently show Brian William MAYNARD [one of the Directors/Officers at Credit Style Limited] is also currently listed as appointed as Director/Officer at 19 companies.
Brian William MAYNARD is currently showing as active in 7 companies out of thee 19 appointments.
These are as follows:
BRISTOW & SUTOR 01331688,
BRISTOW & SUTOR (SERVICES) LIMITED 10709Q25,
CREDIT STYLE LIMITED 06133356,
ZENITH RECOVERIES SERVICES LIMITED 11231777,
CREDIT STYLE HOLDINGS LIMITED 08798507,
INTEEIM FD SEEVICES LIMITED 06768407,
PARKING COLLECTION SERVICES LIMITED 11231790
If you freely access the public record held online by Compant House on any of these companies you will keep seeing the other same select few names listed as Directors/Officers and notice a pattern. When one Director/Officer changers to a new company one of the other same few names listed as Directors/Officers listed on the various above companies will take the place of Brian William MAYNARD, and he will take their place in their company as a Director/Officer. Rather strange business conduct.
Upon drawing to a close you need to ask yourself why does Credit Style Limited claim to be one company but legally they are actively operating as 2 companies with the same name plus one variation of the name, totalling as 3 seperate companies.
THIS IS NOT NORMAL BUSINESS PRACTICE AND IS VERY QUESTIONABLE.
Further, why does some of the Directors/Officers need to rotate the same position but with others of the same few different companies.
THIS IS NOT NORMAL BUSINESS PRACTICE AND IS VERY QUESTIONABLE.
Additionally you need to ask why Brian William MAYNAR need to be the active Director/Officer of about 7 companies at the same time. Also why would any company appoint him as a Director/Officer as he has either liqudated, dissolved and resigned from over 10 seprate other companies. It would be poor decision to employ any person of that poor calibre to such a high position.
THIS IS NOT NORMAL BUSINESS PRACTICE AND IS VERY QUESTIONABLE.
NOTICE:
All information in this review can be verified if you check any of these names and companies [by going ton any internet browser like chrome type 'Companies House Get Company Information, click the link that ends in gov.uk, then type into the search bar the name Brian William MAYNARD or any of the company names or their registered company numbers listed above.
This is a free service and public information that is totally free so there should be no objections from Credit Style Limited or others to redact information as it is all already publically published.
Can’t get in contacted!!!!!!!!
We have been sent a letter back in may regarding an account which has been past onto to this company, we have been given a reference number which doesn’t work, we have sent countless voicemails, countless emails we have tried phoning every single day, we have sent a letter and still haven’t managed to get into contact with them, so now they have past our account straight to ccj and we now have to deal with court due to them claiming we haven’t been in contact when all we have tried to do since may is speak to them!!!
I have Looked at the reviews on here and it looks like a lot of people are dealing with the same we are.
What a abysmal organisation
What a abysmal organisation. I keep getting text messages asking for me to contact with a reference number. No information on what it is about. I have left voice messages with no response. No one is getting back to me to tell me what on earth this is. How can anyone sort this out if they don't know what it is. The ombudsman will be getting an email from me regarding this.
Is anyone there??
Eonnext have sent my small debt to this place. No contact, not returned my calls since 1st of September, I can see the negative reviews below doesn't sound good. Third night of not sleeping, no reference number and unable to discuss payments and lovely litigation fee added not to my knowledge. Please return my call. I will not remove this......... Vile place
This company is a disgrace
This company is a disgrace, nothing short of scammers.
I recieved a number of threatening we will take you to court style letters saying I owed money from my time with Avro 3 years ago.
I contacted them via the link on their web page asking for evidence of this.
They emailed back with a copy of my "final bill" saying it was unpaid.
Had they bothered to perform due diligence they would have known that this bill was inaccurate and replaced by one that I paid at the time.
This was several weeks ago and they seem to have gone mysteriously quiet since I replied with this information.
CREDIT STYLE JOKERS
Well seems alit of people are saying the exact same prepayment meters demanding money letter. Even after emailing them twice because each time I held on the phone they would always say it was busy and after a while they basically tell you to leave a message to get back to you. Jokes still waiting to be contacted 😂 surprise surprise I've had another letter after saying pay now.... NO I ain't paying for something I don't owe if you don't want to reply back to my query that's your problem. This is not my job to prove I'm on prepayment either but a little clue "Tarriff Name" the people's prepay
"Payment method": PREPAYMENT !!!!! Case closed. Any querys please feel free to email just don't expect a response 😂
I was a bit annoyed it took 4 attempts…
I was a bit annoyed it took 4 attempts to get through in relation to an incorrect chaser letter from Credit Style, but once I got through and was able to evidence that I didn't owe anything, the call handler, Aiden, was very helpful and will be sharing my evidence with the company. Still think they should provide an email address to at least log and deal with queries.
Great
I had paid money to this company in error. I didn't have an account or owe them any money. Although I was unable to get through on the phone. I emailed the collections manager. After sending proof of the payment she allocated the funds and had them repaid to me within a few days. Even though this was my banking error she was so helpful and professional and had it fixed straight away.
shocking
I have had numerous letters from this company chasing money and every time I have tried to ring them and discuss that we do not owe this money they never answer The only way to contact them is to email them, and I have send several emails and they never answer and still continue to keep sending threatening letters.
The truth about Credit Style Limited...
I worked for this company for 8 months - In my honest opinion, it was horrific how they treated not only staff, but customers too.
It was disgusting how the managers leaked my personal information out to other colleagues, and laughed about it on their lunch breaks, despite them reassuring me everything is 'confidential'.
This company claims to adhere to the UK Employment Rights Act 1996 in which they have clearly violated. Finally, Credit Style shows no sympathy to any customers, no matter what circumstance they are in. As an employee I received sanctions for providing reassurance and relief to customers that are experiencing challenging times in the world that we're currently living in.
I'm not here to ask for sympathy, I am here to spread awareness. All I want is to give the general public an insight into this so called 'regulated' company.
Former Employee…
Managed to get a job a Credit Style Limited, Sheffield office. Today have already quit and not returning. The fellow office wotkers are all decent, just going to work to make a living. The staff member
has the most experiance only has 8 years experiance and no major qualifications. The company also have high turnover of staff which shows alot about the company. If you call the company it is very unlikely you will get through. There is alittle morw hope with sending emails, but do not hold your hope as they get a minamum of at least 200 emails every day, which only a few gets seen or actioned, the rest just sits there. Most of the letters they use are all just copy and pasted, only sometimes they are "tweaked" a little bit to make them different. If you compare their letters then they will all look the same. The other reason why Credit Style Limited is not motivated to resolve debts without court, is because the more things that hapoen after Credit Style Limited gets your case, they make more money at every stage. For example one thing costs £3 yet Credit Style Limited increases this to £5, why? Because they can and that is an instant £2 profit each time. This may not sound much but when you consider the thousands of cases and more that they handle it soon builds up.
Claim I need to contact them "urgently" but they won't answer their calls
I have been receiving texts since June, as of writing it's now August, saying to contact them "urgently". I've called multiple times these past few months and left voicemails and none get answered. I have attempted to use their contact form which comes up with an error page. The texts are not addressed to anyone and has no reference to what exactly it is I need to "urgently" contact them about. So I don't know who it is they're messaging or why with no response from them. I have not received any calls, emails, or letters from any company stating I owe them money as it's a legal requirement for companies to send letters stating a bill or debt is due to be paid. I've checked my credit and there's no record on there of any debt owed either. I've called and emailed all the companies I have an account with: fuel, rent, etc, to see if I owe any debt and thus far I don't. I've no idea who they are texting or why. I wish they would answer their phone or at least call back as this is just beyond frustrating now
Threatening letters
I’ve now received a final reminder from Credit Style for a payment of £127.62 for Avro energy. I left Avro energy some years ago and signed up with another energy supplier. It’s my understanding that you can’t move energy suppliers until your bill with the previous supplier is settled, therefore, I can’t possibly owe anything. I would be very cautious of this company and it’s threatening letters. I will not be paying any money to them.
I received a demand for money due to…
I received a demand for money due to Avro Ltd - a company I have never heard of, never mind bought energy from. No reply when I got in touch.
COMPLETE BULLY SC*MBAGS - DO NOT PAY A PENNY!!!!
We was with peoples energy before being transferred to British Gas earlier this year. After peoples energy stopped trading they sent a final statement with £0 outstanding and notified we was being moved to British Gas.
A couple of weeks ago received a letter from this low life company out of the blue saying we owe £148 from a debt from peoples energy, very intimidating and big red writing saying pay now or be passed to an enforcement team within 7 days to take property and risk a ccj against my name.
We have always been on a pre pay meter, the final statement from peoples energy was £0, I confirmed with British Gas there was no outstanding balance and that it is also impossible to incur more than £5 debt!
I tried to call this low life company many times and didn’t get through, so done their online form stating we can’t incur £148 debt the maximum on a pre payment meter is £5!! I also sent the closing statement from peoples energy with £0 outstanding (with a thank you) and the conversation with British Gas confirming there was no outstanding balance carried over.
I got a email from Paul the “collector” at this scam company, asking me send a picture to prove I’m on a prepayment meter which I done, he emailed back saying account is closed. No apology or explanation of how the imaginary £148 appeared, just taking chances to prey on the scared and vulnerable.
A week later I receive another very intimidating letter with “pay now” on the front in big red writing, open it and it’s this scam company once again! Very intimidating, pay now or the “bully boy” enforcement team will be around to take your possessions within 7 days.
I sent a very crude email back to Paul the “collector” in which is received yet another response to ignore it was sent after the account was closed. No apology once again.
I fear about all the other innocent people receiving letters claiming they owe money when in fact it was ever impossible to owe money in the first place, get intimidated and scared by the nature of the letters as my partner did and pay. It’s attempted robbery and complete bully tactics.
These people are nothing but scummy bully boys trying to rip people off.
I want to give my story and hopefully encourage people not to give these scammers money!!!
DO NOT PAY THEM A SINGLE PENNY!!!!!!
So 3rd letter this morning
So 3rd letter this morning,
This letter saying there are taking it further if I don't pay,I am on pay as you go and they demanding 237.03 , phoned British gas this morring when I was switched from peoples energy to british gas I was in credit so why why why are they demanding this money you are a scum of a company and you need to stop bullying people, British gas said if you owe them money they would be phoning me and not sending letters and texts they are a joke .
I have received a letter from these…
I have received a letter from these people saying I owe £227.43p after ringing them countless times & emailing them I finally received a call asking me to take a photo of my prepayment meter which I did, they gave a link which to send the photo to which I tried countless times to no avail.they have now sent me a second letter demanding money I don’t owe, so I have written them a stern letter to there PO Box,if they respond I will take it further, if they don’t they can whistle Dixie as this outfit are a bunch of chancers & being on a prepaid meter for 30years how can I possibly owe the said amount.
Case closed. Case shouldn't have been opened.
Tried to demand £111 allegedly owed to People's Energy. I'm on prepayment as alot of their 'targets' seem to be. Completed online response tersely saying the same and that I expected non existent debt be removed. Email received asking for photographic evidence. Sent pictures of my meters and case closed.
Complete shambles.
Bigger question though - who is sharing incorrect data about People's Energy (and other utilities) customers? And how many people have paid up monies not owed?
Subject Access Request going in.
What an absolute scam
What an absolute scam. Don’t pay a dime. Shame on all of the people choosing to work there. Shame on you all! I have never had dept in my name, so absolutely a total scam. Get wrecked!
