To be fair I got an introductory offer pack so the price was good. I am a Nespresso fan but I'm always looking for another great coffee.
These pods taste ok but they're not better than Nespresso.
Worst of all third/half the pods were so badly crushed at the thinner end they don't work in my Nespresso machine. I've tried contacting the company by email but 5 days later I've no answer or acknowledgement of receipt.
I shan't be buying again.

Update 1.
I've checked I used the right email address and I did. I've emailed Crukafe again with the exact email address they requested I use. I'm waiting to hear from them.

Update 2.
Fair play. They sorted the issue by replacing the damaged pods with new ones and thrown in an extra 10 capsules as a gesture of goodwill. Hats off and thanks for sorting this out Cru Kafe.

Have Cru Kafe gone out of business?

I have tried responding to emails, creating new emails, filling out website contact form, sending to different email (sales) that does not exist. Tel number does not work.

They trying to take money for a subscription that I want but has disappeared from view on account. It says payment failed but I can fix what I can no longer see. No response. What the heck is going on and what are they playing at.

Very frustrating.

Ps their coffee pods are amazing.

Got the start pack and I am impressed. Colombian is very nice. No need for any milk.

Other reviews seem to have an issue with subscription and payments and tbf all these type business have such issues.

Secondly, I'm not too fussed about the 💯 sustainable stuff since, it goes into mixed recycling.

The Opal machine may sit at the budget end of the spectrum, but paired with these pods it becomes something far more impressive. It is simple, compact, and consistent, allowing the coffee itself to take centre stage. No theatrics, no unnecessary complication, just clean, reliable espresso at the touch of a button.

Colombian, ristretto, bright roast, dark roast, espresso and lungo each carry their own distinct character, balanced and full of depth. Yet it is the half caf and, especially, the decaf that genuinely surprise. The decaf is rich, aromatic, and entirely convincing, with none of the compromise one expects. For flavour, value, and everyday indulgence, this is coffee that exceeds expectation.

Overall, I love Cru Kafe coffee. I have been buying the beans and the ground coffee for some time now and the quality has always been consistent. As I have already said, the decaf stands out in particular. It simply does not taste like decaf. It is, without exaggeration, some of the best coffee I have ever drunk. I am not saying that lightly. Thank you, Cru.

I was excited to try the Nespresso Discovery Pack after reading the positive reviews, but I was disappointed. The capsules lacked flavour and body, tasting very weak. They were also too tight and didn’t fully enter my Nespresso machine. The foil was too thick and the lip around the capsules was too big.

Despite these issues, I was still hopeful because the capsules were organic and not owned by Nestlé, which is why I was looking forward to using them. Last month, I received a Discovery Box where one of the capsules (organic Colombian) was in a small white box, different from the other normal boxes they have. The capsules were identical, but not exactly the same as the ones they now sell.

I tried them and was amazed by the difference. Beautiful coffee. The coffee was full-bodied and had a wonderful flavour – exactly what I wanted and as it should be. The capsules were properly perforated and snugly fitted in the machine, no longer feeling tight. The foil was much softer and the design was much better, almost perfect coffee.

I still have a few organic Colombian capsules left in a small white box. I wish I could buy these ones instead of the ones they sell, which don’t make full-bodied coffee – they’re just water coffee. The problem isn’t the coffee, it’s the capsules.

I love the coffee and, after my initial order, I signed up to a subscription. I moved house so I cancelled it until I was settled in my new house. I ordered some more just before Christmas but did not renew my subscription. I have just been emailed to tell me that my coffee subscription is on its way. How is this possible?

I used to buy through Ocado, but when I moved house and Ocado didn't deliver to my area, I had to buy direct - I love this coffee, I have tried dozens and none hit the mark, even at a coffee festival in Manchester i found nothing that beat their decaff. I love the rich fresh taste and so creamy and fulfilling, Their delivery is super quick. It's organic too!

Nightmare to contact , no option to cancel or change order and the telephone number they advertise is long disconnected. Ignored an offer code and changed full price for the order and no way to cancel.

Really wanted to like this coffee. Ordered a mixed pack of 6 different coffees. All taste pretty much the same and none of them really intense in flavour or aroma or matching the blurb on the packet. The best thing about them was that they were half price.

I have to say, ordering and delivery were faultless and my coffee pods arrived very quickly.
However, I have been disappointed with the weak coffee taste. After trying several different types, it all lacks flavour and strength. I so wanted to like this brand, but not for me, sadly.

I made an order with CRU Kafe and I realised after my order that the discount code hadn't applied, so I contacted the team and Cameron was very helpful and refunded me the difference! I'd recommended highly, customer service is great and so is the coffee 😊

I closed my account with cru after many years. I wanted to try something else. They confirmed my account was closed. The following month they started to process an order and took money from my account. They apologised and said they refunded but hadn't. I contacted them again and was told to contact my Bank. Appalling.

I've been a subscriber for quite a long time. In February I've been charged for the order and never received it. The status says "unfulfilled". I've sent several emails to support and even tried to approach them via Facebook, no response at all. I didn't even get an automatic response that my enquiry was registered. Usubscribing now and requesting a refund through the bank 🙁

I've got the Colombian beans which I freshly grind every morning. The coffee is delicious and hits the spot. I tried shopping around after Cru's prices went up, but quickly returned because the flavour is superior.

Had a subscription with this company as coffee is organic and pretty good. However, customer service is dreadful. Had a subscription order delivered that had extra items added to it and paid for. One of the items was Cleaning Pods which did not arrive with the order. Contacted by email 4 times now and every email has been ignored. Will be cancelling my subscription. Mistakes happen, that's fair enough, but don't ignore returning customer emails there is no excuse for that. Will look elsewhere for my coffee.

I love this brand and their coffee, have been a customer since pretty much day 1, but have recently reluctantly had to ditch for Grind’s compostable nespresso capsules as time is up on these wasteful aluminium calsules that Cru Kafe use. I know the standard response is to pretend that they’re recyclable but they’re not really in any practical way. The coffee from brands using compostable pods tastes just as fresh so what is the excuse for Cru Kafe anymore? Especially when you want to present to be a modern innovative brand.

Silky smooth coffee, whilst packing a taste punch. Have bought the coffee for years and will never need to buy anything other than CRU. Really convenient purchasing options with good delivery options.

The decaf is a godsend! All the taste and boldness without the crash I sometimes experience with caffeine. The customer service is also really good. Overall, very happy with CRU Kafe!
