SHOCKING CUSTOMER SERVICE!

I called CVF twice on Saturday in regards to a vehicle I was interested in purchasing, I then noticed that they only dealt with customers on an appointment only basis over the weekends so I left a voicemail for them to call me back and registered my interest in the vehicle. I then email them to solidify my interest in the vehicle to which I had a response that Afternoon asking me about my part exchange giving me a rough idea of the value of mine and whether it had outstanding finance on the vehicle, to which I responded.

I then never heard anything all weekend and on Monday morning don’t receive any call back from my voicemail or email correspondence. I then call CVF to see what’s going on. After speaking with the receptionist she called me back as Dave Ward was busy dealing with other customers telling me the vehicle had now sold (Even though they haven’t had chance to respond to any of my correspondence) I wasn’t best pleased and for whatever reason Dave Ward wasn’t available but seconds later became available when I wasn’t happy. I tell him my frustrations and I was then met by “I was busy, we don’t work weekends” even though he responded to me via email on the Saturday and then used his wife and kids as an excuse as to why he didn’t respond after asking me a question on email. Within this time of Dave Ward not working he has sold the vehicle that I sent my initial interest on but Dave Ward or anyone from CVF still haven’t called me or emailed back in regards to my initial interest on or even my reply I made to Dave Ward over the weekend. He then went onto say it is because I didn’t reply immediately and that is the reason why he didn’t email me back. I then said that I would be leaving a review in regards to my experience with CVF and his response was that he would get the sales manager to take it down and then sarcastically said “I am sorry you missed out on the car” and then put the phone down. I haven’t even managed to purchase a vehicle and this is the experience I have had with CVF I can’t imagine what it would be like if I would of actually managed to purchase the vehicle. Terrible customer service from CVF and I will wait and see whether the threats from Dave Ward of the sales manager removing my review will actually take place.

Firstly apologies you feel let down by this. Im afraid we are not office based at the weekend due to all having families but saying this we do try and respond when we can to enquiries . As explained on the phone we have an online automated sales application which I'm afraid before we got into the office on Monday to respond to you someone had filled int he application on line and therefore the system marked the car as sold and as you hadn't submitted an online finance application or put any deposit down on the car im afraid went to the person who had applied . As most companies now offer an online application and purchase option we recommend for future purchases its worth making sure your application is filled in early as no dealership will remove a car from sale simply on an enquiry

Unprofessional and untrustworthy company

We sold the car to them on the 27 th of July, its been 2 months now and they have still not paid my existing finance. I keep chasing them about it and keep telling the sames lies that they will sort it out. Even my car company have been in touch with them as it flagged that the car is now on another finance.

They have clearly breach the law that they can not sold any car that is not cleared from its finance as clearly they dont own that property.

I have been in touched with Trading Standards Uk and they are dealing with it also.

I wouldn’t even give a 1 star at all to this company for all the stress they are giving me.

UPDATE 19.10.2021

So we went two weeks ago, spoke to their manager Phil.
We been told the same lies that they will pay off the finance. And guess what? I have called the finance company and they still have not paid the finance. Thats two weeks ago that they said it will be all that on that day when we went there!!! Keep messaging Phil, ill get a message saying he will update me or get news.then starts to ignore my messages again.
Absolute liars and so unprofessional.
I would not reccomend anyone selling their cars to this garage at all or even dealing with this unprofessional people.

One very happy customer

I was looking at cars through the Facebook page sent a message on the Wednesday and it’s now Monday morning and my car has arrived. It was the easiest process ever and they have been fab and so patient as all I done was ask questions lol. They part exchanged my car and I got a great price for it which meant I had no deposit to pay and my monthly payments are lower. If you are looking for a new car I would absolutely recommend you get in touch with these guys they are amazing 🤩

Not a trustworthy Company – promises not fulfilled.

I purchased a £36k BMW from CVF Group and paid the full asking price. When I purchased the car, I was told by the salesperson (Phil) that the spare key was available but had not been provided by the previous owner as yet. He said that this was the case as CVF offered such a good purchase deal that he traded the car in there and then. I was advised that the key (with a replacement cost of £318) would be provided once it was obtained from the previous owner. To be clear, I was only made aware that the spare key was missing when I was given the key, following signing the finance agreement and associated paperwork. Obviously, I appreciate the cost of these keys and if I had been made aware the key was missing during the purchase, then this would have been a negotiation point. Perhaps misrepresentation to preclude this discussion opportunity? After several weeks of chasing up the spare key, which I was advised was available and would be provided, I have received very few responses After requesting reimbursement for a replacement key, this is the response from Phil at CVF Group. I leave it to you to assess how trustworthy you think this Company is and if you wish to trust them with such an expensive purchase!!!!

“We have spoke to the previous keeper and he doesn’t have the spare key . Legally we don’t have to supply the car with 2 keys . As said if the spare key does turn up we would always forward it on .”

Update following CVF Group Response. Many thanks for your comments. Clearly there is a lack of understanding with respect to my issue being that you failed to declare the second key was missing when you were describing the vehicle in our sales telephone calls and during the purchase. It was extremely disappointing to find this out when all of the paperwork had been completed and I didn’t really have anywhere to go. Also, at this point I was advised the key would be provided and it was not explained that there was an element of risk with respect to one not being provided. This is not a case of getting my own way like a petulant child, but CVF Group not being comprehensive in information provision and then quoting random limitations once the deal has already been established and I have taken ownership of the vehicle. In being honest with this review, if MCOL finds in your favour, I’ll delete this negative review.

Hi Sam, as per our message. Used cars are supplied to the new keepers with the keys we are supplied when we buy them in stock. Some have one key some have 2. As I stated on purchase if the spare key turns up in the future (as they sometimes can) we will always send them on. I think its harsh questioning our trustworthiness based on the fact we won't pay a £300 invoice you just demanded we pay and the review seems to be written this way because you haven't got your own way. Im sure if we would have just paid the £300 invoice then I dont believe out "trustworthiness" would have been questioned. Regardless of the above I hope you enjoy the BMW M2

They will not pay off your old finance

Bought a car from this garage in may we are now at the end of July and they still have not paid my old vehicle finance off despite selling the car on their website more or less as soon as it was put on. Other issues include chasing the log book for 6 weeks and then not changing the tax into the new owners name. My old finance company have received a partial payment of 2k leaving 18k outstanding in my name. Gone to trading standards. As you will see from many reviews on here fantastic deals and fantastic whilst purchasing the car bit after that no one knows what’s going on.

I have tried a number of times to get…

I have tried a number of times to get hold of someone about my car. I bought the car 2months ago and have multi issues with it. E latest is a mechanical issue! My E class is making a horrific loud noise from underneath the vehicle. I have messaged Phil and other colleagues and have had no reply. This is disgraceful as the car is still under warranty.
I am still even waiting for my Vc5 form 2months later! I want a reply ASAP or I will be taking this issue further.

firstly sincere apologies to hear about an issue with your car. I do get a lot of messages so I'm unsure where you have been sending these messages to as ive searched my phone inbox and can't find anything. if its been overlooked then my bad but normally if its a customer with a mechanical issue we come straight back. I can't find a record on our invoice system either for an E Class we sold to and Emma? so maybe if you could send us your reg I can get the relevant person to come back to you and sort.

regarding the V5 , they come direct from the DVLA and if its been a manual request for one it can take up to 12 weeks at the moment , again I can check this once we know the reg on your car .

please come back to me on my direct email and I can sort ......

To now confirm, the DVLA have confirmed they are processing the V5 , the mechanical issue on the car was a stone got stuck between the brake pad and disc.

Great finance, zero after sales service

I bought a CLA from Dave in November 2020, the deal was good as CVF get great finance deals for you but they appear to have zero after sales service. The car had a few minor issues which CVF said they would sort but the car would have to be brought back to them. It's a shame they couldn't arrange for this to be sorted locally for me but I understand.

My circumstances changed and as a result I decided to sell the car after 4 months. I approached Dave to see if they were interested in buying the car back or selling for me in exchange for a broker fee. Dave responded once to say he would look into it but then ignored all future communication. When I messaged him about another purchase though he responded immediately. I discussed the lack of response with Dave and his response was to try and convince me that he had never received the emails or What's app messages despite me receiving a read receipt for both communication methods. Dave even went to the lengths of deleting my messages then sending me a screenshot of our conversation by way of trying to prove he never received the messages. I think Dave probably makes a habit of reading messages on his notification screen and ignoring the ones that don't involve a sale. The screenshot he sent me showed he had 37 unread What's App messages - a bit strange! Anyway, if you want a great finance deal speak to CVF but don't expect them to speak to you once the sale is done. It's a shame really because my experience is repeat business is the key to success and I typically buy 2 high end cars every 3 years.

Absolutely discraceful

Absolutely discraceful. I done the deal on the phone, all i was waiting on was confirmation of time I could collect on the Saturday and in that time they sold the car to someone else because it was finance and i was a cash buyer. Absolutely discusting

Hi Paul , sorry you feel this way but as we confirmed over the phone you paid no deposit or anything to secure the car, you made an appointment to come see the car on Saturday. until a car is marked as sold the automated proposal systems we use allow customers to send a finance application in on the car and this then secures the car until their credit application gets accepted.

I appreciate you are upset but as im sure you can understand booking an appointment isn't the same as taking a car off sale, every motor dealer will only remove a car of sale with deposit paid or finance agreement in place.

Wow ! Above expectations!

I bought my first Mercedes e class from Phil .
I spoke to him as I wasn t to go for ... and his advices was great as I love it !
He got me the finance very easily without surprises ! The deal is absolutely fair !
You can see all their cars are well selected and offer only the best !
The Price is absolutely on the money ! I went to the Mercedes dealer and told me I had a great deal they couldn’t even match it .
Phil has been brilliant, always found time to speak to you on his busy schedule.
I bought my car during lockdown , without test drive it , seeing it . When they delivered to my house ... My car was well above expectations! You can PHIL and his team !

Range Rover Evoque

Great customer service

Rang Phil up and enquired about a Ford Focus st line and had the paperwork sorted by the next morning. Quick and friendly service, with good communication. Stupidly left my wheel lock nut at home but the delivery driver was very helpful in driving to mine for me to get it because I was at work. Would highly recommend and I’m extremely happy with the car, the price I paid and the team at CVF. Thanks to all.

Spoke to the chaps via Facebook messenger regarding a C class Mercedes, they were very helpful with my part ex and getting the finance all sorted.
