Excellent company used them for years

We have used CWCS for around 8 years and have found them to be good value, easy to work with and available 24/7. I recommend them to anyone needing a reliable internet hosting company

CWCS are an exceptional hosting company, quick with competent support and a very reliable and fast network.

We have had a number of dedicated servers with CWCS for a couple of years now and have been consistently happy with their easy to understand pricing, responsive support and network reliability.

Some issues arose recently on our servers and CWCS went above and beyond our support agreements to make sure our servers continued to run without problems.

I do not hesitate to recommend CWCS for dedicated hosting.

CWCS Managed Hosting - pretty good!

We've been using CWCS Managed hosting for over 2 years now and so far we've had no problems with them. Their support team have been great at solving our technical issues, also their servers rarely go down. We can definitely recommend them.

Reliable hosting / Good support

We've had a good experience with CWCS Managed Hosting. The server performs very well and although we've had issues at times, no fault of CWCS, their support team have been very helpful in assisting us in resolving these issues.

Simple reboot but could not have gone better

I have been using CWWS for about 18 months now after they were recommended to me. I purchased a Gold support package and have not used it a great deal however I do feel relaxed as I know that when needed the guys are there on hand.

This was a simple reboot, I could do it myself but it is far easier just to reply and let them do it for me. Very happy with everything about CWCS.

Fast efficient service and support, robust server - would highly recommend

We have been with CWCS for a few years now and have been hugely impressed with the level of service and support received. The main benefit with using them is that they are always willing to take your calls to discuss any issues unlike most server companies where you never seam to be able to speak with anybody. There is an online ticketing system which works well and is efficient and we used for 90% of the time if we have any issue, but it is nice to know they are just a phone call away if something is urgent.
We also receive our own account manager who knows our account and can go to at any time which is a huge benefit.
Our server is extremely robust with very few issues. We run 2 ecommerce websites through our server so server uptime and speed is business critical and we are pleased to have a server and company we trust to keep our site live at all times.
Overall, the best server company we have come across in many years of ecommerce trading with fast and efficient UK service and support.

What service?

I could maybe write a review if I had been able to use the service on a website that was up and running, but due to problems outwith my control the site has taken over a week to go live. Ask me the question again when I have actualy got a site to do things with.

Please accept our apologies for the delay in your site going live, and please be assured this is not our usual standard of service. We have looked in to the problem and our technical support staff have put it right; your site should be live within 24/48 hours (depending on DNS propagation). To clarify what has happened:

- Your hosting plan was setup on the day of purchase and a welcome email was sent to you including all of the login credentials.

- There was then an issue with the pointing of the A record which you requested via a support ticket. This is what caused the delay in your site going live.

- Our engineers have now sorted this for you and the A record is now pointed to the IP requested.

- DNS may take a while to propagate, however your site should be on line within 24/48 hours (if not before)

One of the Customer Service Team will be in touch with you today to see if you need any more information or wish to discuss further.

Once again please accept our apologies and I am sure you will have a great hosting experience with us from now on!

Reliable hosting and customer service

We have a few servers from CWCS and we've found a reliable hosting partner that deliver what they say they will. Their support and customer service means that if there is a problem (hardly ever) it is sorted out quickly and professionally.

Good hosting partners are essential and we are glad to have found one in CWCS!

Perfect!

I had a blockage with emails and CWCS quickly traced it for me to a compromised client website on my server. I don't have a support package but they were kind enough to provide me details on how to clear the 600,000 emails blocking my server. The replies were quick and all questions were answered politely and clearly.

I've been with CWCS since 1997 and any troubles I've had have been dealt with the same way. It would take an awful lot for me to move company when they are always so helpful. I hope the tech support staff get a lot of coffee breaks and biscuits for all their hard work! :)

Host with the Most

We came across CWCS when looking at a company acquisition who were using them. The acquisition fell through but our discussions and our first hosting experiences were so good that we are in process of moving all our hosting to them. We currently host over 1000 websites and around 500 mailboxes - all of these will be with CWCS during the next three months. Their support is exceptional.

Unbeatable fast and proessional service and hosting

What I like about CWCS is they pulled the stops out when we needed a new server, and even though I phone up about 10 to 5 on Friday, they still managed to get my account setup and active by Saturday morning so I could do some migration work over the weekend.

Ever since, whenever I've had a question they have been extremely helpful and I've had very few server issues while being with them which is great as its saved me a bucket load of time and money.

I can't recommend them enough!

Amazing customer service from a top hosting provider

CWCS has provided Spinbox with over 20 dedicated servers, working and supporting our digital agency for over 7 years. With a strong customer relationship team, CWCS provide flexibility, amazing up time and the latest hardware for all of our servers.

Fantastic Linux Support

After a YUM update we had a problem with OpenVPN when runing the new Kernel.
CWCS were able to build and test a patched Kernel that over came the problem.

UK based - Great Service - Support

We have now been with CWCS for a couple of years. We primarily moved to them due to issues with providers in the past and their lack of support and ability to contact them over the phone.
We have had no such issues with CWCS and would not hesitate in recommending them.

Great initially, disappointing ultimately

I am a cloud hosting customer of CWCS, and have been for around 18 months. I opted for the Platinum support option along with a Barracuda email filter and I have to say that the whole solution is working out really well for me and my customers.

Sites are just as fast to load as they were on my previous dedicated server (which had been hosted with another provider) and thanks to the Barracuda email filter I'm now getting a fraction of the support requests from my customers about problems with email SPAM, compared to before.

I find that the support team at CWCS are extremely helpful, friendly and quick to come back to you. As a Platinum support customer it's also nice to know that backups and software updates are taken care of for you and that you have some time each month with engineers to work on more technical things, like custom PHP builds.

There have been a couple of outages during the time I've been with CWCS but recent improvements and upgrades in their cloud platform seem to have done the trick.

Overall I would say that my experience with CWCS has been positive and I would definitely recommend them to others.

I have been left with no choice but to leave CWCS after I found my recent experience with them to be unacceptably poor. Their level of service has degraded significantly since my initial review. I had two 'managed' cloud servers (with ‘Platinum’ support) with CWCS and after all of the meltdown / spectre news I was told that because my server had not been updated to more recent version of Ubuntu that it could not be patched (CWCS left it on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS until after the EOL date and never warned or advised me of this). I do not believe it is my responsibility to ensure that the server is patched considering I was paying for a managed product, with their ‘best’ support package available. If I wanted to be protected, I would therefore have to be migrated to a new product (which could cost more), or if I chose to leave CWCS I would be in a contract buy-out scenario on one server (because they have rolling contracts - watch out for that as well) I have now moved everything to a new provider and would no longer recommend CWCS. It seemed like CWCS were very happy to sit back and take hundreds of pounds from me each month while leaving my cloud instances to be at risk. I was with CWCS for a number of years and initially they were very good as you can read above (which is the reason for downgrading to two stars instead of one) but it’s a disappointing end to this relationship and it leaves a bitter taste in my mouth.
