I bought my Dacia Sandero three years ago and have done just over 30,000 miles. The car itself has been reliable with no serious problems. The issue is with the service plan. I paid for 3 annu... See more

I'ts a pity you have to rate them
I'ts a pity you have to rate them. Disagreeing with them for over 18 months, shoved from pillar to post with cs and management. Same old story not claiming liability for anything and have refused to correspond altogether. Will never buy from them again.

Macklin Motors Dunfemline sold me my new Dacia Sandero Stepway. I am absolutely delighted with the car which fulfills all my needs and with service provided by the dealer. In particular Darren Abbott was the salesman, and he was absolutely brilliant

Bought a used Darcia Duster from Renault Cardiff.
The whole process was very professional with no hard sell. They gave me a good price for my part exchange .
Stanley the sales person was the perfect gentleman and sent a video of the whole of the outside and inside of the car. Would certainly recommend.
Think Carefully before buying a Dacia Duster
My recent purchase of a pre owned 2022 Dacia Duster BiFuel Prestige with only 6000 miles on the clock has been an absolute nightmare. The car has many faults and I would ask any prospective Duster buyer to read my honest review first. After a week of ownership it was very noticeable that there is a huge design issue with the angle of the front windshield. When driving into sun the dashboard reflection makes it almost impossible to see out of the front window and makes driving very difficult.
In places the carpets don’t fit correctly and even though there is a factory attempt to keep them in place using staples (yes staples) they fall pitifully short of meeting the rubber door surrounds.
After a month of ownership the front drivers side window remained stuck in the up position. The Duster was taken into Dales of Cornwall (after a very lengthy wait) and a faulty switch was identified. The part was ordered and I was informed that there was no ETA for it to become available. After several weeks of waiting I contacted the CEO of Renault UK and had a response back from his executive complaints department. A very helpful gentleman agreed to place the part required on Priority Order. A few days later he contacted me to say there was no ETA! Enough was enough and so I contacted the sales manager for Dales Dacia of Cornwall to complain about the delay. To be fair having raised my complaint the cog wheels turned with rapidity and I was booked in a few days later so that a part from a ‘donor’ vehicle could be fitted. But that didn’t work as it was soon discovered that the electrical loom to the door had snapped and had to be replaced! A day later I once again took possession of my Duster with both front windows now functioning correctly. But the problems don’t stop there!
Hesitates when accelerating.
Blind spot warning lights on both wing mirrors randomly flash at night.
Carpets that do not fit correctly.
Squeaking dashboard Media Screen.
Rubber door trim coming away from its clips.
Poor MPG returns versus manufacturers claims.
I have been told that all issues would be covered under warranty but that is not the point. To achieve this I would need to take time off to get the car to Dales, they charge £10 in insurance costs for a courtesy car, it’s a 25 minute drive each way to the Dealership, and who is to say that parts would be available anyway?
If you are considering a Dacia Duster please thoroughly check out what you are buying first. What seems fantastic value isn’t always the bargain you were hoping for. You have been warned!
I have now sold the Duster and requested support for my significant resale loss from Dacia UK. They have responded stating that because I have now ‘left the brand’ they can no longer help…… and that just about sums Dacia up exactly.
BROKEN PROMISES !
BROKEN PROMISES !! I know there is a "world situation" but when you are PROMISED a result, and it doesn't materialize, just how much anger and stress can one cope with.
My headlight was PROMISED for 9th november(DUSTER OFF THE ROAD SINCE 16/6). am now told it will be at least another month.. meanwhile it is costing me a fortune in petrol as against LPG. and the road fund licence.
As my new ROAD TAX IS DUE ON 1st December any reasonable suggestions as to how to proceed.
Dacia Wirral
Dacia Wirral. I had a long wait for delivery of a new vehicle however the company did keep in touch by email. I received a phone call and a video of my new car when it arrived at the showroom and another after I brought it home. The car was in excellent condition as it should be with a new car. The sales person ( Serenity ) was extremely helpful and professional, I was shown all the controls and how they work. Although I had a long wait for the car to arrive the service was good after the delivery
Shoddy complaints procedure
My Sandero needs a new linkage arm for the windscreen wipers, which I ordered at the end of July. Dacia UK advised that the delay was caused by an 'Admin Error', but I still have to wait between 15 and 20 days for the part to arrive from France. Shocking and shoddy response to my complaint. It seems that Dacia UK simply don't care.
Fantastic service!!
Had a test drive at the swansea llansamlet branch for a Dacia Stepway on Wednesday. Lovely service from Steve who didn’t pressure me at all into getting the car. Something you can find happens at most car sales garages. Happily traded in my old car with no problems.
Ended up agreeing to get the Dacia the same day however as it was a steal and I couldn’t leave without the car. Quick easy handover process and nothing was too much trouble. Stunning car and a dream to drive. Super super happy! Thank you so much Steve :)

Thank you Arnold Clark Blackpool and the team, very welcoming and nice to bee treated as a customer and not a 'sale' - great coffee whilst everything explained and processes - they genuinely helped our choice in buying our New Car
Shocking service levels at Dacia.
Purchased 2 new Dacia Joggers on the 6th May 2022.
On the 1st August @ 5.50pm I was in a traffic jam when my Jogger with just 235 miles recorded broke down.
Called Dacia Assistance (RAC) who took 5 hours to attend.
Mechanic couldn't assist as the car was too new for his computer.
Unaccompanied recovery to supplying dealer took until 1am.
Car was left in a Homebase car park with a 2 hour parking limit.
No onward transport was offered.
Whilst the supplying dealers service was 1st class, Dacia was very poor.
I raised a complaint on 3rd August & have today been called by the RAC (17th August).
If I knew what service Dacia provides, I wouldn't have purchased their cars.
Service at Belfast Branch - sales Executive Declan Magill
I visited the Belfast branch to upgrade my Dacia Stepway to Duster. Mr Declan Magill was courteous, professional and helpful during my negotiations. I was impressed at his communication skills and how he assisted during this appointment. Thank you Declan Edith Fleck - Lisburn Co Antrim
Absolutely fantastic service
Absolutely fantastic service, Mr G Street was so helpful explaining everything I needed to know, kept myself updated on everything definitely highly recommend. Fantastic and friendly experience.
Very helpful
Very helpful, with assistance on finding the right part for my dacia sandero stepway, and for dave for going out of his way to find the right part, would recommend 👍 5 star
Dacia are so unhelpful
I ordered my Stepway on the 19/08/21 for delivery on the 01/03/22 I then picked it on the 19/06/22
I drove it for 3 days and a total of 170 miles I took it to the dealer for a inspection and was told it was safe to drive till it could be booked in on the 28/06/22 it was recovered on the 01/07/22 was told it would need a new gearbox(cvt) and a drive shaft the damage was caused by lack of oil no leakage could be found and it was believed to have had no oil in I have received a voucher for £100 to be used in a dealership as a good will gesture
I have asked Dacia UK to help 2 times now to help to get my car back on the road because the parts are on back order and have received no reply
The dealer have been excellent helping me but they can only do so much this car is my 4 Stepway the others 3 were excellent
All I want is my car back on the road
Dacia on the other hand have been really unhelpful
Not a nice car….
I work a lot of the time in the Channel Islands and have to hire a car. For the first and last time I ended up in a Sandero because I need a Sat Nav and this was the only car available. The Sat Nav was next to useless and would only accept road names and not the post code?? Then it didn’t have all the road names…..on Jersey? Really.
The car itself is cheaply built, gutless, uncomfortable and awful to drive as emphasised when getting back into my Mercedes. I noticed too that there was limited legroom in the back when the drivers seat was in the position I needed it.
I honestly cannot think of one redeeming thing about the car to congratulate Dacia on.
had a bad experience at Leeds Dacia
had a bad experience at Leeds Dacia. visited showroom to look at a duster (didn't have any in) went ahead with the rep & asked for the prestige in orange & a 1.3 engine. after looking at the paper work, later noticed they had put the 90 down went back after weekend & put it right, they they offered the 1.3 in grey as there would be a delay said we would wait, on the second call a different rep told me i had 2 cars booked 1x90 in orange & 1 x 1.3 in grey . they told me it would be another 6 months to get the correct colour & engine, so after a test driver, we took the 90 engine in the colour we wanted (then they wanted to charge me at the new price, for the cheaper version.
stay clear of them
Absolutely terrible experience at Dacia…
Absolutely terrible experience at Dacia Liverpool. Essentially didn’t get a car. Ordered a new Dacia Sandero in January and because of delays for different reasons there would be a wait until June. We understood that this was out of their control, however May came and no update. Went into the dealership and they said there would be further delays until July. Heard nothing so went in again last week and we’re told we wouldn’t expect it until August, maybe even September/October. We were buying the car because we had a new baby due in July so not great timing. The biggest issue we had was with the customer service, when we queried the delay and whether anything could be done to compensate, the sales assistant, Sarah, was incredibly rude and unprofessional, essentially saying she couldn’t magic a car out of thin air… well obviously! We would have just appreciated some form of communication about what was happening rather than being left in a difficult situation with no notice, no car and a baby due in 5 weeks time. We have now cancelled the order and will not return to Dacia as a brand.
