Right move first time .
This is the first time I've used darlaston builders , ordered some fence panels and posts plus fittings. Driver delivered this morning, very helpful chap . I found the whole purchase and delivery very good . The panels were of good quality heavy duty no splits, all in all I would have no second thoughts about recommending this company. Will use again. Thanks folks .

Gotta be honest, usually use Selco but they couldn't supply the bricks I needed.
Went to DBM in Wednesbury and this gal 'Dawn' was amazing!
Not only knew her stuff but was amazing with her service.

Ordered online and put notes on to say wanted delivery to be done over garden fence into back garden. I got sent back an instruction to pay which I did. Asked to ring to arrange delivery which we did.
When the delivery driver came it said kerbside delivery only on his invoice - (his invoice not ours) and nowhere in the order process or on our documents was it explained kerbside only.
Basically they took my money under false pretences. Delivery driver was rude and unhelpful and could not have cared less about me as a customer. I emailed to the sales address to let them know my views. No answer. We went into the store today to get our £5 back for the bag and let them know about the delivery. Not even an acknowledgment - my husband was basically ignored other than to issue the £5 refund.
Whilst this may be OK for some people for us it was a lot of extra work which we had hoped to avoid as neither of us are well.
Dishonest - PLEASE DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID & GO ELSEWHERE
I don't normally write reviews but needed to warn others of the dishonesty of this organisation.
When I made my order in the branch, I made it explicit what I wanted and was told this is what would be delivered. However, this was not the case and what arrived was completely different to what was ordered.
I went back to the branch to ask them to kindly put it right but they refused, despite me paying nearly £2000 and in fact wanted to charge me more to rectify their mistake! I spoke to Rajpal Jutla (who called himself the CEO - according to Companies House this is not the case) who was extremely rude and condescending even though he was in the wrong to which 3 other colleagues also told him the same. He should be ashamed of the way he spoke to me.
I have contacted the Citizens Advice Bureau who have informed me that Consumer Law has been violated. I am now pursuing this matter via a legal route to stop this organisation from doing the same to others.

Don't order from here they'll have you sitting at home all day waiting for a delivery #pisstake they don't give you a time frame for the delivery as "it's an all day delivery service" and they can't contact the driver to check what is happening!! I went to the medway store & purchased 2 holliw soffit boards @ 8.88 each plus 20% vat so how come it came to 23.64? It's rush rush rush so I never checked till later. I would advise anyone purchasing from here to check your receipt. I went the other day & they tried overcharging me again. I will not be using them again

After sales service is shocking, purchased in total over £3000 worth of materials for a drive, originally some KS Kerbs out of the Barleystone book. Builder took in book (provided by Darlaston Builders Merchants) and specifically asked for this kerb, was then given a kerb from another supplier BRETT which is a different colour but did not become apparent until the KL kerbs and pavers were delivered and by this time the KS Kerbs were cemented around the drive over 400 of them!!
When builder called on a number of occasions to ask why each time they ask for the same product out of the Barleystone catalogue whether it be KS/KL kerb a different stock / colour item is given. He was told adamently they only stock 1 KS and 1 KL kerb everytime and so they 100% the correct ones.
It prevails that they do have 2 of each as they have 2 different suppliers, I would think the one supplier BRETT which is the KS kerbs they supplied me with INCORRECTLY when specifically requesting from the Barleystone catalogue is cheaper so they try and get rid of these.
The tickets they send to the yard does not make a distinction either between the 2 so the yard staff just give out whatever they get their hands on BE CAREFUL.
So now I have a drive which is a mismatch of colours and not once has the manager apologised for THEIR COMPANIES mistake or replied to the 2 emails I have sent over.
THEY ARE A DISGRACE.
As you can see from the reviews below this is not the first time this has happened and confirmed by the builder they try to sell inferior products - many large trades will not use them for this reason.
Careless and Terrible service
The service was TERRIBLE. The guy smashed my car front screen with the wood panel who was not invited to help and blamed it on me. He forced the wood panel deliberately. He would not admit that he was in the wrong. He smashed my screen. I would NOT recommended anyone to go there.

The delivery driver was miserable , Goods damaged , had to be replaced , The guy who came to replace broken items was very angry & rude , very poor quality concrete posts , one fence badly warped , i will never go there again . awful experience

Would not use Darlaston Builder again, they delivered, dropped 7.30am in the morning few days ago, our delivery gravel bags put in next neigbours front lawn, one of the bags torn, spilling some gravel on pallet & grass area, the reciept they left on the pallet was, wet, torn. Since we were charged £9 for local delivery in Wednesbury, we expected better service, delivery, Contacted Darlaston Building the same morning letting them know of the above problems on delivery and asked for replacement for the 1 torn bag and they could take the torn bag, the reciept they left on the pallet was part wet and torn and could hardly be read ask fro another reciept, they said they will pass on and do, but nothing done. No replacement bag sent to another reciept.

Absolutely appalling, made an order online paid online straight away.
Delivery was meant to be 3 days later.
I needed materials there and then and managed to find a company to deliver straight away so within an hour after order I phoned and cancelled.
Treated like rubbish on the phone and 14 days later am still yet to receive my refund.
I have tried contacting through email and their online ticket service with no reply.

Avoid avoid avoid, lied about delivery, damaged garden wall with lorry no repair undertaken, second grade slabs delivered complained and was told worst they had seen but what do i expect fron India. 3 attempts to replace quality no better. So came and collected sorry stole the slabs , still no replacements, no refund and out of pocket now persueing with trading standards, the police and courts. No reply now

My elderly aunt ordered some paving slabs. She lives in an annexe at the rest of our property and she told them to phone her on delivery.
They didn’t call - and since I wasn’t expecting anything, the sound of the lorry reversing outside our house woke me up and I saw the crane lift dropping a pallet on the grass verge outside of our property.. a house two doors away is having building work done so I went to check he wasn’t delivering to the wrong house.
The driver confirmed the delivery was for my aunt and I told him she lives at the rear of our property and he needs to drop the pallet outside her gate, not on the public verge outside of our boundary. He said “is it a problem?”
I replied yes, we’ve got to move this pallet ourselves!
He said “it’s only 50 meters...” and couldn’t give a damn.
This is the second time they’ve dropped items OUTSIDE our property rather than deliver to us properly.
It’s only 50 meters.. I wonder if they’d think “it’s only £50” if somebody didn’t pay the full amount.
Disaster from start to finish
Both website and employee placed order with confirmed delivery 3 weeks later on 8th. Phoned on the 8th to be told they had it planned for 9th, dismissive of their mistake. On 9th I received phone call to say £200 worth of decking boards, some 2/3's of my order, was actually out of stock... (Why was this stock not held aside or I informed before now when payment taken 3wks prior hmmm?) As they also could not tell me when the boards would be restocked either, I was finally refunded & left to source those elsewhere - not easy. I waited for my partial delivery, which simply then did not arrive day 2, no communication. Day 3 I complained again before my delivery was routed out that afternoon, low priority, and eventually delivered. Throughout this, DBM came across very blasé & reluctant to take any accountability for their multiple errors, that being busy made this acceptable. If you want to pay upfront for late delivery of a part order with inadequate customer service, order away.
They are in charge
Phoned today 16.40 to see if my delivery was being delivered today . no it is tomorrow , why was i not texed emailed . No you are supposed to ring & ask . In other words it is your responsibility to find out when you are taking delivery . There responsibility is to deliver on any date they want .O i did order these on the 20/05/20 . Think these just the the pee, using this situation for their own uses . Very poor customer services
